I bought iPhone 14 pro in India with AppleCare+. The camera lens broke after 4-5 months with minimal impact. When I called service center, they informed me that a standby phone would be provided, but when I reached the service Center they didn’t give me one stating that in case of breakage a standby device is not provided. Furthermore, they charged 10k as the service charge and informed me that since I bought it from India it’s the fee that I’ll have to pay, had I got it from any other country the service charge would’ve been waived off. I was also expecting that since it’s apple, I’d get a new device but they changed the camera lens.
To summarise- Apple punishes you if you buy their products from India. You pay more for their products, you pay more for Apple Care, you pay more as service charge, and you don’t get a new device but the old one gets repaired. Don’t be a fool to buy apple products from India; even if you can afford their Indian prices, the unfair treatment given to India purchased devices would spoil your mood for sure

@@saitarun1574 Absolutely. Google is only concentrating on marketing their phones but they haven't really thought about aftersales. Their customer support is also full of crap. They are trained to only take the request and send your device to repair. From my interaction with them, they are incapable of trying to understand what really is wrong with the device. Their mentality is "Oh it's not working? Send it to repair and wait for 10-12 days while without your phone. You are SOL if you don't have a phone lying unused which is the case with 99/100 people. I'd even try with Moto Edge 30 Fusion and give them the money instead of Google."

I twice had to repair my pixel 6a under 1 year of purchase.
      First time screen broke.
I had to ship it to the service centre myself and I wasn't without a phone for 10-13 days. The sad thing is my esim was registered on my mom's name so converting esim to physical was another painful process and i got to know this after erasing my esim.
The second time the battery bulged within 8 months of purchase. This time surprisingly they Google partnered with a third party and at Chennai there was only one place which is 40km from my place. But they themself would again ship back to Noida where all the phones get serviced. Wtf Google? But since it was under warranty, they replaced my phone with brand new. This time the whole process took 4 days.
Now I'm unsure when the battery will bulge again. Actually I was not alone at the same time when i handed over my phone there was another similar case of battery bulge.
Even when screen got broke its just a normal fall. Later I realised 6a used Gorilla glass 3. Google came out of coma from moto x 1st gen and straight up created a phone with the same spec.
Bottom line don't buy a pixel

The wireless charging wasn't working, they changed the Qi module and the motherboard. It was free of cost, but I had to wait for nearly 2 weeks. A lot of this wait time can be attributed to logistics of getting the part in a tier 3 city, so I won't consider it a huge pain point, in theory.

Last week my OnePlus 8t got the green line issue. My phone was around 1½ years old. It had no visible scratches or dents. I went to OnePlus service center( not exclusive) where I was told that my phone had a dent (there was none, it was just chipped off paint which was very hard to see) and he only repairs when paid. For free replacement I should go to the exclusive service centre where they would probably not fix it because of the supposed "dent". (Next part in replies)

Next day I visited their exclusive service center where I was told that they would repair it for free but the phone should not be damaged internally or externally. She also added that the parts will arrive after 20 days, they will call me to submit the phone or I could leave it at that time too. I went home and tried calling customer care to check whether the pick up and drop repair service will be paid or free just like the service center. I was told pick and drop repair service will be free and I should mention green line issue in the problem description with 2 photos of the phone and 1 photo of the bill. They had picked it up on Saturday and my phone arrived back completely repaired on Thursday. I would say if the nearest service center is giving an absurd amount of wait time for green line issue repair, just order pick and drop repair from the oneplus store app. Hope this helps.

    Team TechWiser,
Keep up the good work! I appreciate your hardwork in bringing the latest tech updates to us.
Motorola is no different on after sales services, as recently I went to the Motorola Authorizes Service Centre in Mumbai (Borivali) for multiple issues like ghosting, poor network reception, worse battery backup (as SoT was only of 3hrs at max so I need to charge twice a day with minimal to no use) on my Moto Edge 30. Firstly, they took cognizant of the issue and asked me to keep the device with them for 7 to 10 days as they needed to replace the motherboard, which was fine but they denied providing a spare/backup phone as it was not in-line with (one-sided company policies) I argued with them on nowadays who has a spare device at home lying idle. But they kept repeating the same lines i.e. it's against company policies. Then I gave up and surrendered my device to them for repair. After 4 days I collected my device from them and told them that I'll keep the device under observation for a couple of days and if any issues arise then I'll re-visit. Upon subsequent visit after 3 to 4 days with the remaining issues which weren't resolved by them like ghosting, poor battery backup with an additional issue of heating and lags, they said that now they'll take minimum 15 to 30 days to get the device thoroughly checked and discuss with the company officials (as the warranty was expired same day I surrendered my phone for motherboard replacement) Now the real agony starts, because as I stated earlier that no one has an idle device lying at home. So in a nutshell all the companies must find a way to tackle such a situation where they can provide a spare device to the customers for the time until the actual device is repaired. This way both the parties are in a win-win situation. Lastly, I'd recommend you guys to push companies further to get this implemented.

Been running on pixel experience ROM from second month after its purchase.

I am from Kerala, Pathanamthitta the service center was awesome for me I went for replacement of my battery and sim try which was broken and the sim was in the phone but I have a plus point in my point was my back panel was open so they just got back my sim in just 5-10 minutes otherwise I think it may time take longer to done. By the way my device is redmi K20 pro and they don't have the. Battery and sim tray on stock so they requested to submit the phone in order to order the spare parts . In my mind I calculated about a week for both battery and sim tray but surprisingly the battery reached after 2 days of submission and sim tray all around 4 days for me it's very acceptable time but those days I used my nokia 2 which was horrible to use at last the service experience is excellent for a 5 year old device and the battery is with full capacity I got replaced

I had mixed experience with Samsung (in the same service center).
    1) M31's infamous random reboot issue. Phone was under warranty, motherboard replaced for free. The turn around time was quick (10 AM -4PM). The same phone had its its glass panel shattered, a little after the warranty period, but fixed it for 4k. Again, no complaints.
    2) Tab S6 Lite's (2022 model) screen bleed. Now this was a widespread issue. But to my surprise Samsung denied the repair/replacement. The device was just a day old, bought from a Samsung store a KM away. I didnt want to risk ruining a new device with third party repair, so never repaired/replaced it. Surprisingly, samsung never contacted me, even when i raised my concern on twitter. I was clearly bummed by this incident.
Another experience with Realme wireless neckband, they use the same service partner (F1 service, which also services Boat, Nothing, Asus and recently, Google). Had to wait for sometime, but experience was seamless. Provided me with the replacement unit.
Also, the repair on the iPhone is shoddy, but cant complain for 1400 quids.

One of the current issues faced by many Oneplus Nord (the og from 2020) users is that the display from the device falls off, like without the fault of the user, the service centre was filled with 6-7 users at the Ahmedabad & the service centre team actually suggested people to get their screens replaced for approximately 13k rupees, to which I denied & then went to mobile shop where the guy just replaced the bad glue which was the main reason for the screen falling off with a better one & I was good to go, but this was a major deal breaker for me from such a reputed brand & that I would actually try not to get a Oneplus phone in the future, because even if it was not my fault the screen might have had fell down if I had laid it inverted or held it otherwise causing the band that connects the screen to the motherboard to break after which I would've had to spend 13k to get the screen replaced, of-course it also comes with the worries that I might have to spend the extra amount to get it replaced or probably get a new device all together because 13k to spend on a 3 year old device makes no sense. So I would request you to try the same at a Oneplus service centre.

The screen flickering & screen bleeding issues started in just 3 months & Xiaomi has 3rd rate service centre filled with uneducated goons who's only motive is to check if product is out of warranty & charge bomb on repair. As my product was in warranty, they simply kept brushing off the issue telling they couldn't replicate it whereas I could clearly show the photos & videos I recorded when the issue occurred.
