Toughest math teacher of all time
ZMM real life teacher from warrior
I thought he taught science.
@@perfectsplit5515 cause math is a field of science. It is weird to say science teacher instead of math teacher, but they aren't wrong.
@@jacobramirez286 i dont think it is. Math is a tool for science. Not a field of science
Quick maffs
Cerebral, honest, humble and with no false modesty. Great speech, much hespect for this man.
Hespect to him.
SalvadorLosAngeles ju know that brazilian R/H
Yes.
awesome speech, I've always respected him so much
Hespech
Wow. This guy is my favorite middleweight of all time, but I didn't know he had such great public speaking skills. This video is totally inspiring.
Francis Dakis He was a teacher before.
Class act right there, folks.
For the love of God, never let Tito Ortiz attempt this.
Why not? Tito knows a lot more about losing than Rich.
@Idan: No, he'd be injured before he could give the talk.
Nonsense! Tito would put his heart and soul into delivering a speech about losing. And it would inspire us, which would leave him feeling inspired.
It just makes me laugh, really! But I also agree with Jace, that probably he could actually do a great speech!
Peter V hahhahahahahhahhh
Rich Franklin is still and will always be a great champion. Keep up the good work!
CLOUD316 That’s Anderson Silva
@@1sss975 boi
I'm waiting for Nick Diaz to do one of these.
or whatever
I just read this and the image made me laugh hard!
You know... it... it... you know... or.. err... something... STOCKTON!
"These motherfuckers are all on steroids"
"WHERE YOU AT GEORGE!"
Ace always will be a teacher, a good one...
Damn that was deep its no wonder he used to be a teacher.
6 years old video, still so good to listen to.
He was my oldest sons math teacher , very nice guy , professionalism second to none ,
Rich Franklin is a great motivational speaker to be a successful 39 year old UFC fighter as well. I hope that he wins his last mma bout, so he can go out with even more respect, but 29-7 is nothing to sneeze at lol
The lesson here is avoid the muay thai clinch
Lol you had to go there
God i just came from there
This got me chuckling. Just came from the Silva Franklin II footage. At least he didn't pull a Griffin and look like a kid fighting his dad.
He knocked out Chuck Liddell with a broken arm....
That's my math teacher right there! Mr. Franklin aka Ace

Robert murdock nice
Every time I see him I think of his fights against Anderson Silva
Great talk, came here from a link on the UG. I agree, losing is an art, just as winning is. I've had training partners who did great until they lost, then they would quit, as they didn't have the tools to deal with it!
I also though that Rich was humble in the way he left when he was finished, despite the standing ovation.
Rich is a legend
Losing is inevitable. Losing is not always a losing. Without losing, there will be no winning.
Without our failures, our successes mean nothing.
With the exception of Khabib Nurmagomedov
I used to think so until habib came in..
Love this guy.
UFC, please get him into the hall of fame
Matt D Anderson Silva too
@@1sss975 do you honestly think, for a second that Anderson Silva won't be in the HOF?
@@hobnobhead4043 The same could be said for Franklin. They are both locks.
He's in!
I love TED, I love MMA, I love Rich Franklin. Suffice it to say I had high expectations of this talk. They were completely blown out of the water.
Thank you Rich. It’s obvious that you have the special gift of storytelling and inspiring. This talk is so important for so many reasons in a world that needs to embrace humility. Much success and growth in your ministry.
Man rich was my favorite. I have a pair of the trunks he always wore. Not actual fight shorts but still. My absolute favorite.
Mmm... Thought it was pretty interesting seeing Rich Franklin do a TED talk
Rich Ace Franklin was a teacher turned fighter, man did he have some great fights.
mmanut, indeed. At one point, he was arguably the best of the best.
@@matthewhorizon6050 I would say top 5 middleweights of all time.
Anthony Hertlein Him, Silva, Whittaker, Henderson and Weidman would be mine. Not in that order though obviously.
@@Chopper51138 yeah Franklin in his old age wasn’t really good so yeah Franklin like my last 5
so motivating. Thank you sir.
Effective losers lose with the effort of a champion
Rich has always been one of my all time favorite UFC fighters. Second only to GSP. Both top notch class acts.
Massive amount of Truth in this Speech Rich! Thanks For Giving it!
Selective amnesia, bad decision is better than indecision, you have face the man in the mirror so can't get away with cutting short, LOOSING WITH AN EFFORT OF A CHAMPION
I was trying to sum this up but was having trouble. Thnx dude!
Very amazing presentation. Way to go Rich!!
very nice Rich, you are a true ambassador of our sport.
Was there for this, it was really a great and inspirational talk
I've been a fan of Richs' for a long time. I'll never forget the beating he put on The Crow. I'll also never forget the heartbreak when Rich started to freeze when in Andersons' clinch. Regardless, Rich will always be one of my favorite champions. He was a great ambassador to the sport of mma. God bless Rich Franklin 👍
Really good talk, actually makes you understand losing instead of running from it.
That was fantastic. Rich has always been one of my favorite fighters but I had no idea he was such a well articulated speaker. I loved the message.
It all makes sense now, thanks Rich, I so needed this!!!!
And that is why Rich Franklin is one of my favorite fighters!
One of my favourite MMA fighters of all time. A class act and a true gentleman. And a hard as nails tough SOB along with that.
Damn well said Franklin! True class act! Always humble and down to earth
That was awesome. I really enjoyed listening to that talk. Thank you Rich.
man, when a man is turely fit, even with a losse shirt and casual movment, you could tell he is fit. - Class act and the best ambassador for MMA. We miss you in the octagon.
Rich is a legend and the man. Good luck in all your endeavors, bro!
This guy is an excellent role model represents the sport on a positive way .. I hope that make him hall of fame one day

Really good presentation. Rich is a very charismatic speaker.
Great talk Rich. Win or lose, a champion is made in effort and spirit, not just results.
that's real truth of life lesson,, thanks to rich Franklin..
He's referencing his fight against Travis Lutter. Travis introduced me to Jujitsu and it was heart breaking seeing him the Monday after the fight against Rich but Travis also grew from this experience. This fight had no losers.
Wow, so good!
Grande Lutador e Professor.♠

It's not about winning or losing. It's about giving your all! It's about playing with all your heart n soul!
Possibly the most inspiring video I've ever seen.
Excellent.
The best talk so far.
Rich Franklin has gotta be one of if not the most respectable guy to ever do mma. He did great here as well.
Beautiful speech from a class act
That's a nice fucking shirt
Rich would make a rag on a stick look cool but.. He's on some American 007 shit.
Thx Rich.
"Nice speech Ricky" - Bubs
Rich is the man! One more fight against a legend please!
Fantastic! A true champion!
amazing talk by Rich Franklin.
Rich Franklin... An excellent orator. Clearly he got out of the fight game with all his marbles. And he is putting them to good use!
Thanks Rich!
Incredible
Thanks
Great talk!
That was an awesome speech!
awesome speech! I absolutely agree you just can't fool yourself!
Anderson should see this. Circle of life.
Gotta love Rich Franklin from Teacher to UFC 185lbs Champion Wow
This is awesome. I think we all can relate to this.
Definitely one of the better Ted Talks great story
Deep. Rich is the man!
A champion. A class all unto himself. No one ever holds the belt forever. You just get to look after it for a while. How he won it, and how he lost it. That's what makes Rich Franklin a champion.
fantastic
thanks rich.
RESPECT.
Rich Franklin HOF of MMA ono of the best fighters ever
His words would probably matter most to those who experienced losing, but still needs to move forward to challenge themselves.
Those who lost and gave up would probably only understand him but not all the way.
that was absolutely beautiful
Rich Franklin always liked that dudes style! Class Act.
Rich Franklin will hopefully be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in the very near future..., like..., next year!
Dana White sucks for not having him in the UFC Hall Of Fame.
Stan Kyle Kenny Cartman he is now lol
Respect Champ!
ill take a lot from this...thank u sir
This is the first time I have looked up some of Rich Franklin's video's on CZcams. I remember I was at BW3's with my cousin one evening and I saw Rich on the big screen about to fight, then I realized my old boxing coach, Rob, was going down the isle with him and was like "Holy sh*t, is that Rob?" Ever since then I learned that Rich was from Cincy and I ended up working in the same hospital with his sister. Although I never met Rich I always rooted for him, being a home town favorite!
way to go Rich!
