Does Deuteronomy 24:1-4 say a person can marry their ex-spouse again?
    Bible Question:
Does Deuteronomy 24:1-4 say a person can marry their ex-spouse again?
    Bible Answer:
Deuteronomy 24:1-4 is about divorce and remarriage. The passage tells us that a man or woman cannot return to a former spouse and marry him or her if the former spouse had subsequently married another person.

I do not understand why some people (and I mean Believers in Yeshua ) (Non Believers can do it or not) can not just be obedient to Gods Word and always try to be politically correct just believe God and do what He says simple. The answer is NO. Deuteronomy 24;4
then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of YAHWEW. Do not bring sin upon the land YAHWEH your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Hebrews 3:5-6 states that Moses was a faithful servant in God's house while Jesus Christ is the faithful Son over God's house. As New Testament believers we follow what Jesus Christ said and what the holy spirit said through the apostles. 1 Corinthians 7 :10-11. She is to remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband and the husband is not to divorce his wife. These are commands. What Deuteronomy 24 was referring to Moses trying to manage divorce literally trying to stop them from divorcing by stating if you do you can't go back. But anyway God divorced the nation Israel by giving them a bill of divorcement but yet he said that he was still married to them and return back to him. This became the standard and not what Moses said because God didn't say that in Deuteronomy 24. Scripture says that God made them male and female and that the husband was to leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two will become one flesh . Marriage is according to God's word not man's thought. So it was right that the couple whoever it was reconciled their differences because they couldn't be with any other person anyway because it would have been adultery. Romans 7: 1- 3 and 1 Corinthians 7:39. Remarriage while the Covenant spouse is alive is adultery Luke 16:18. While the two enter into a covenant with each other each one also entered into a covenant with God and he's holding each person responsible for their, "I do."
