  • It's official. The Arizona Coyotes are finally moving. In light of this news let's take some time to look back on their time in the desert and try and see just how we got here in the first place

A mercy killing that was long over due. No hockey doesn’t work there and the only reason Vegas is doing what they are is because they were gifted that team. None of the expansion rules for them was put in place for Seattle.

This is nonsense. Tampa, Dallas, Nashville, all 3 California teams have proven hockey can succeed in non-traditional markets shared by other cities. The Knights were a rallying point for the city in their inaugural season, and people love to say they were gifted a team but *nobody* pegged them as being a potential contender year 1 until half the season had been played. Arizona and Atlanta failed because they were run by absolute clown shows of management. The Coyotes had fans, but they aren't gonna buy tickets when their team is a write-off for the league and 40% of their payroll is other teams' LTIR dumps.

None of what you said could be classified as a coherent thought. Everyone here is now dumber for having heard it. I award you no points and May god have mercy on your soul.

Only reason it works in Vegas because it's a entertainment city Arizona isn't a hockey market

As someone who has talked to many Golden Knights fans from the area, they will tell you otherwise. This was the first major professional sports team they ever had, they rallied around the hockey team after the shootings when the team did efforts to help the community, and they have an ownership group that's willing to be a competitive team for the fans.

Fake news about getting kicked out of Glendale. They got kicked out of Glendale because they wouldn’t sign a long-term lease. it had nothing to do with the ownership and their sketchy track record about paying bills

How about the NHL moves the Ottawa Senators, too.
