Ruger just released its $99 ReadyDot mini optic, which uses fiber optics to power the red dot. It fits on the LCP Max as well as the new optics ready MkIV 22/45 pistol.
All I want ruger to do with the 22/45 and Mk4 is redesign the frame and mags for 15+ rounds. The aftermarket can already do everything else. Just catch up with Taurus, Keltec, and Sig.
That red dot… meh…. If you’re always in a lit area or out in the daytime, maybe. I could see putting it on a range toy, but would never consider it for a serious EDC gun.
The Ready Dot may be a good range sight if priced around $50-$75. $99 seems to be in the price bracket with a Crimson Trace red dot.
That red dot looks interesting

.22 plinkster in the background
Just picked one up online for 545 out the door
Would this fit the 407k/507k?

So you wouldn't use an acog?
Nobody buys a mark iv for an edc gun
$95 is way too expensive for this sight!
