Over the past few months, we put a hold to the construction of my tiny house in Siargao because of a devastating typhoon. But, we are back at it! In this video, I'll give you some updates and the things I have been working on to finally continue building my dream tiny house in the Philippines.

I think it's better to put screens to windows and doors in order to have no insect's and. mice coming inside your house. Your house will have more indoor usable space if the kitchen is enclosed and I think make. more sense. You can always add a small roof extextension outside your kitchen for outdoor use.
This fills me with happiness Tal, to see you back in Siargao, back at your tiny house and moving forwards with the project once again. There must be something weird to be there again after the feelings you had following the typhoon, but this, I feel, is where you need to be. I'm so looking forward to seeing this loop finally close, and to see you living there at long last.

Insulatiing the walls and ceiling will make a big difference to being in the loft bedroom area. It will be worth it.

Hi Tal, I think you should upgrade all of the plywoods with hardiflex plywoods. They are a lot durable and can withstand the heat and rain well like they don't bend and look flimsy.
I agree! a FiCem board (Fiber Cement Board) would be much better than the normal plywood.

What is causing the discoloration on the wooden walls? Could it be mold? If it is, please treat the walls first before you put the insulation materials.
I hope you also try hydroponic gardening in your backyard.
Like they said, "Hardiflex" Brand of Fiber Cement Board is available to all Hardware construction supply and Durable and can stand to heat and Rain or heavy Typhoon ,replace the Wall of the house that using plywood, and use Hardiflex for Ceilings , because it's heat resistant, to feel comfortable in your house it's coolings Effects to your room, More Power to your Channel.

Make sure AC is an inverter one otherwise you’ll have high electricity bill. As a follow up, I think people will be interested in how you were able to acquire land and build a house. You mentioned it’s on lease so I think foreigners will be interested to know about this.

Have you ever tried Starlink (internet) in the Siargao Island, Philippines? If it's applicable over there, how is the installation/speed of the internet? If you do have it (or planning to do so) will you make a vlog out of it (including the installation/searching for the satellite signal & the speed)? Thanks.

your roof is too low, even if put insulation it will still be hot. better have the roof higher so that the air can travel well.
