I don't like the way detective Renee Ballard is portrayed in "The Late Show". Connelly has made Renee homeless, sleeping in a tent on the beach. That is not realistic. Come on. A LA police detective doesn't earn enough money to rent a studio ?! I like Renee; she is a very sympathetic character. Renee is a hard worker. She doesn't deserve to be a beach bum. I am looking forward to Michael Connelly new book "Fair Warning". I will devour it.
