Alex a piece of advice, click only on the options that give you plus stability because otherwise after a certain amount you'll start to loose factories and get debufs
YES! So good to see a fellow Brit playing this and going Monarchist. Then upon seeing a picture of Nigel Farrage after swinging to the right and going "Well nope not having him in! Hah!" absolutely mirroring something I did recently in the mod. All hail Queen Elizabeth! Although monarchist has to spend a while fabricating and I ended up with a superpower united EU to fight.
Paratroopers in MD are very effective. I have done a similar play through and they easily reach Sierra Leone and other places.
The war of the hats is probably the funniest things I have seen

For the Modern Day mod, use the Sub-Units mod. Also, you may be interested in the Additional Factions mod as well as the Chaos Mod.
Not sure if you've been, but Edinburgh is utterly beautiful and worth taking a look at!!

I'd recommend moving up north; maybe Leeds. I've lived abroad, down south and up north, and I wouldn't ever choose to go back down south permanently. The house prices alone are more than enough to put me off. Save yourself 50 percent somewhere like Leeds: much cheaper but still with a nightlife and facilities.
