Courtney Love openly talked about him perving on actresses. An actress got a recording of him admitting what he did - and the police used that to blackmail him. Hardly anyone trusts the entertainment industry, news networks, police, CEOs, or politicians anymore. Obviously this movie exaggerates things but enough people have already admitted to being exploited so why deny it? You think that your innocence makes others innocent?

I used to be in the business.. actor & model. I got out of the business because I became a total mental wreck.. theres a moral line we all have one and i would not cross it. Ive have to undress my top during an audition even though the role didnt call for nudity. You should understand that its incredibly intimidating being watched by an entire panel of people behind a table taking notes and being under bright lights & camera. They can ask you to do things that make you so uncomfertable but in the moment you just DO IT because you dont want another rejection.. they KNOW you are emotional, they KNOW you want that part. They take advantage of you..
So if you ever get in the business.. just make sure you know where your MORAL LINE IS... AND PROMISE YOURSELF TO NEVER CROSS IT.

This movie is one of my favorite movies this explains what happens in Hollywood with the elites and what people do to gain fame. Sarah’s situation not only changed her but it killed her as well shedding her old self and becoming a someone new. This is what the elites do to people who want to be famous and tells them to sacrifice someone close to them and takes their life to become famous.
Uh, no. The joke is about actresses coming out of 'nowhere" and having no history before they got famous, because people who claim to know them before they became stars are always called liars and nobody believes them. That's why she kills off her friends, so nobody knows who she was before she became a star. That was kinda the joke. Rest is typical Faustian deal, it's really not that interesting, in terms of innovation.

This is not a movie, it is a documentary
I think I’m in the minority here but I’m actually sympathetic to Sarah, the actress portrayed here. While there are similarities to Starry eyes and other ambition-horror/ thriller movies, I see there are differences between Sarah and the protagonists of other similar movies like Black Swan.
Unlike the latter where the protagonist was largely motivated by pure ambition, I do think that demonic influence was integral to many of Sarah’s decisions. The video forgot to mention that during the part where Sarah was experiencing euphoria, she also manifested demonic physical traits, suggesting that the photo taking process was more of a demonic ritual where an evil spirit entered her body. The casting directors also kept telling her to “let go and relax” and “be open to transform into something else”. Sarah’s transformation to me as such is not only physical decay, but also psychological and moral decay as the demonic influence in her body grows stronger. That is why I felt she laughed when her friend broke her nose and how she did all those murders at the end.
I felt she was also motivated by a Low sense of self worth as well, she seems to have Low self esteem and possibly have mental health issues, considering that she rips her hair out everytime she faces disappointment. The fit that she demonstrated in the audition is clear cut signs that she needs help as well. There was a part of the movie where she mentioned she has no family and along with the fact she’s surrounded by toxic friends, it just made me sympathise with her situation somewhat. It seems like she based her self worth totally on being an actress and that contributed to her desperation.
On a side note, I felt Alex Essoe was amazing in this film on how she brought out Sarah’s insecurities and desperations. One of the best actresses I’ve seen in a while
