How to Cook Kimchi Fried Rice

  • Annyeonghaseyo! Ituturo ko sa inyo kung paano ako magluto ng Kimchi-bokkeumbap (김치볶음밥), also known as Kimchi Fried Rice.

    Ingredients:
    • 1 cup cooked rice
    • 1 cup kimchi
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 2 sliced of Spam
    • 2 green onions, chopped
    • 1 garlic, diced
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 egg
    • Pepper, Salt and Sugar
    • Sesame seeds (optional)
    • Seaweed strips
    • Gochugaru
    Procedures:
    1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
    2. Cook the Spam until brown.
    3. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
    4. Add kimchi and stir-fry for a few minutes.
    5. Add pepper and sugar.
    6. Mix in the cooked rice and salt.
    7. Add the onion leeks and stir-fry for a few minutes.
    8. Add gochugaru if you want more spiciness, and stir well.
    9. Mix in the seaweed strips and stir well.
    10. Cook until everything is heated through.
    11. Cook the egg in a separate pan and place it on top of the Kimchi Fried Rice.
    12. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
