This might be my favorite tree of all time...
All-time favorite tree ever! 💖💖
Agreed!!! It's beautiful!!!!
Me too!
Same... so prettyyyyyyy! She is such an artist!
Me too! I think it's so important to start moving away from a consumer culture, especially given the state of the environment! And this is the perfect way to do that!
Wooww..Laura love it. But be careful.. i almost had heart attack seeing you drill the walnut without any safety gloves. We don't want you to get hurt. Love you
Love it!! 🥰🥰. And Benjamin sneaking some popcorn...🤣🤣
My word Laura, girl you are just so talented. Free hand drawing on the wood ornaments. Everything looks so great.
Grace Merez I know shes incredible
Please think about making a wall calendar for 2021! In 2020, take your best picture of the month of a different area of your property and then put them together in a calendar. I would totally buy it!
Me too.
Debbie Dennis I love that idea
Excellent idea Debbie Dennis.
I’d buy one! And please don’t chime in with some silliness about donating to some charity 💕
I would totally buy it
Moss balls would be cute!
I was thinking moss as the tree skirt.
This tree could have been created 100 yrs ago. I love it. Minus lights of course
When we were first married, my husband and I were very poor. We baked some Christmas cookies in different shapes. We then used red ribbon to hang them on the tree along with the popcorn garland and red ribbons bows. Of course the tree was missing a few of its ornaments by the end of the season! That was over 30 years ago. Sure wish we had your CZcams videos back then for some great ideas!
Sweet memories!
You have the patience of a saint stringing popcorn, it drives me up a wall to do it. You could also string cranberries.💚🙃 as usual it’s adorable 💚🙃
Judy McKerrow It is no problem stringing popcorn. Just sit in front of a good Christmas movie and string away!
All wonderful ideas. We did a natural tree this year and it's my favorite. We added dried cranberries to our popcorn garland which made it really pop.
It's not just you Laura, it actually turned out really amazing! My favorite "challenge" tree from over the years.
I am not typically a "natural" sort, I have an obsession with glitter lol BUT this tree definitely did something for me. Yes it was time investment but it was so fun to be able to watch all the things we have seen you make come to life! I think it turned out perfect! and I agree the sun porch is the PERFECT home for it! It fits the atmosphere out there!
daniellestanke0701 lol on the glitter 😂
Love how this tree turned out. It was a lot of work to drill through the various nuts but so worth it. I do have to agree with Benjamin though, popcorn is for eating. Still, I'm glad to see the popcorn garland, you needed the white for contrast. On the birch rounds, forget the woodburning kit, your drawings are perfect and charcoal is also natural.
This is another video I'll be going back to over and over.
I am absolutely in love, this is the best idea yet! And because nature is so diverse, the possibilities are endless, and I bet you can keep recreating this tree every year and still have new fun natural arrangements on it to show us!
Every year the tree can get larger with for the new ornaments until finally it's the main tree! I'd love that!
Between Benjamin eating the Garland and Russell playing with the Star, I was wondering if you would be able to finish the Challenge. 🤣😂🤣
I love how you recap with close ups of your items at the end of each video ... !
Your little tree is beautiful! Merry Christmas, Laura, Aaron, Benjamin, Mom, Dad, Chris, Cheddar, Russell and the girls!🌲
The Girls and No too!! Ha Haaa!!🎄🎁
I love this tree so much, it turned out so beautifully.
Well done. I really like it and think the porch was a perfect location for a "natural" tree. A lovely transition from the garden into the house.
Lovely tree. The home made star is a delight. To add to it next year red chillies dry well and whole small citrus with vertical lines cut down them.
So much love in this beautiful tree. I think this is more about Christmas the way we need to bring back and let our kids and grandkids create ornaments. Merry Christmas and God bless to your family.
Laura, it turned out beautifully! You are so creative and imaginative ❤Will you be doing a tree outside for your feathered friends again this year? I loved the homemade bird feeder ornaments you did. Merry Christmas!
That whole entire porch is an absolute dream, imagine hanging in there with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate at night when the kids are in bed, with just that lamp on by the chaise and the natural tree lights twinkling.
Laura I love it!! I loved seeing Benjamin eating the pop corn off the string!! So CUTE!!
The tree looks fantastic in that room -- so inviting. I hope you give yourself time to just sit there with a cup of coffee, maybe a book, and enjoy it.
I never leave comments but I had to let you know how gorgeous this tree is. You did a great job on all of the ornaments and garlands. So inspirational! Merry Christmas!
Gorgeous tree LAURA! I love how all the colors came together! Love Love how Benjamin ate the popcorn garland and Russell playing with the sticks. Did Cheddar help too? Those are the best memories to have and you captured them all!
"Num" as Benjamin helps himself to the popcorn garland...so cute! Your tree is very beautiful, glad you added lights!
One of my favorite trees you have done so far....beautiful!
Awesome!!! 100%sure I will do this next year. Perfect project to include all the family.
Charity money collection idea - putting the ornaments on sale maybe!? I know I would love to get my hands on one.
Simply beautiful tree. I may try some of this next year.
I love it... it looks even prettier at nighttime...and Benjamin eating the popcorn was precious...😍🎄😘🇦🇺
That is DEFINITELY a natural tree; paper comes from trees not a chemist’s lab. I love it! So beautiful and has inspired me to decorate one of my own. Thanks.❤️💫
Very sweet tree! Love it! And love the way the video shows so many personal touches... Benjamin and the popcorn... Adorbs! And kitty batting the branches... Great touches!
Love this Christmas tree challenge!! That natural/homemade tree is so cute!! Reminds me of what the pioneers used to decorate their Christmas trees more than 100 years ago!! 🎄🎅❄🥰🌼🌺🍃🌿🎄
So much more beautiful than store bought ornaments. Love, love, love!!♥️♥️♥️
I love love Russell!!! It seams he is always with you💖💖💖
Oh my, absolutely love this tree! It shows the time and care you put into it, which makes it all the more special. You are so talented. Thank you for sharing those talents with us! You always make my day.❣
Merry Christmas 🎅
Well said Sandra! Me too... I truly look forward to Garden Answer videos! 😍
Love it, my favorite part was Benjamin eating the popcorn😁you always out do yourself girl! Can only imagine the fragrance 🎅🎄
Am I the only one that these ornaments made hungry? The tree is beautiful. Wooden toys at the bottom would look nice.
Beautiful! Laura, I hope that you take a few minutes for yourself and sit on your lounge chair an take in all of the beauty in that room!!
Love this tree! I reuse my popcorn garland every year. I just store it in a plastic bin so no critters can get at it. Lasts for years!
It's a gorgeous tree! Red berries would look good on it too.
Best tree ever! More on the lines of an old fashioned Christmas ❤️
The tree is so pretty. I really like the natural tree ornaments. I think the natural and the garden theme are my favorite. No mater what you do it is rock star.
This tree turned out beautiful! I think next year I'm going to do a tree like this with my grandkids. What wonderful memories we will have. Thank you for showing us all the things we can do! I have saved this video 🥰
thank you 2, you and your family for the best 2019, didn't know your channel before and u all have really added such a happiness to my daily life. what a gorgeous tree!! i've never made a popcorn garland before, i need to try that?? ( ;
My favorite tree, hands down! Bravo!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
😍 simply lovely. And the last pics after dark ... stunning. It just glows. Lovely.
When you're so excited to click this video but theres a 4 minute ad and your new years resolution for 2019 was to watch alllllllll the ads and you're finishing out the year strong....... #itwasworthit Such a beautiful tree!!!
Same here!
I love LoVe LOVE this tree! It’s charming and warm and simply beautiful. Hands down a favorite. I’m in awe of your talent... and your patience. So inspiring. As far as the popcorn garland, we kept as kids - mom put it in ziplock bags (or something similar) and placed on top of storage before closing the box. Most of the time it kept, there’s a few times we just made new. We also used cranberries for garland. That might be your touch of red for next year.
O Laura that is the most beautiful tree.
The tree looks amazing lit up at night.
Adorable tree!!! Absolutely love the naturals. I agree, twinkle lights are a must. Truly talented you are Laura! You come by it honestly from your Mom!
THIS is amazing, Laura!!
I had to pause the video so i could just take in the beauty of the tree in the evening , just gorgeous. And Benjamin had to make sure the popcorn tasted just right for the tree, as we saw he approved!!! Thank you for sharing your talents and precious moments with us. Merry Christmas to you and your entire family and not to forget the fur babies and the feathered ladies!
Honestly, Benjamin really does steal your thunder in these videos. This was my favorite Christmas tree I've ever seen, but when you cut to Benjamin eating that popcorn, I swear, my heart just melted! What an indulgence your videos are for me. Thank you for putting so much love and care into your projects. It shows! ❤️❤️❤️
Laura, this is gorgeous. The popcorn garlands totally make it
Absolutely lovely and a cozy and magical setting. I love how you share your talent and creativity with us. Thank you for your effort. :)
Less waste this year is great! Glad to see you are starting to focus more on that for some videos.
Omg this is so amazing! How charming and beautiful❤️❤️
Lol! Sorry Laura, but the best part of the whole video: 12:04. He looks at you like, "thanks for putting this here for me!" :)
Oh my goodness! What a beautiful tree! What great imagination. You are so talented!
One word lovely and unique gorgeous thanks for sharing 😀🌲
Love Love this tree. It looks fabulous in the sunroom. Great job as usual.
The tree is gorgeous 😍😍 I love everything about it! Great job Laura! I will defenitly be doing one like this next year 💖 thank you for sharing, your amazing 😊
Laura, this tree is a million times better than the dollar store trees. It’s perfect. I love the idea below of making a calendar of your best photos throughout the year.
Absolutely beautiful! Love this tree! Great job. It's my favorite tree I have ever seen. I love how the lights shine through the oranges and the yellow(butter) popcorn.
A very different idea for a Christmas tree, I like the idea of the dried fruits. It makes me think of how trees were possibly decorated many years ago before all the glam of ornaments that we have today. It came out very pretty though!! Merry Christmas to you and your family and a happy new year!! I’m excited to see what 2020 brings for the garden!!
Laura I keep my popcorn from year to year. I put it in a tin popcorn container and we r now in the fifth year of use. Mine is air popped popcorn, so I don’t know if that will make a difference, but u should try storing it in an airtight container!
Air popped is the way to go. Buttered tends to develop an off putting smell over time.
I've don the same.
Yes! It keeps remarkably well.
The butter would get rancid.
Fantastic. I was one who complained last year about the mass produced Dollar Store crap that will eventually end up in a landfill. Cranberries strung with the popcorn is fun too. As well as mini figure 8 pretzels. I did that 30 years ago.
Triple like!!!
So beautiful! Now I want to make ornaments!!!
This looks amazing. Benjamin is so sweet. And Russel made me lol. I love your videos. Have a Merry Christmas!
Best tree you’ve ever shown us! I love that nut garland but it looks like a huge pain to make.
This may be the prettiest tree I've ever seen!! EVER xo
I love this tree Laura! It's perfect.
So beautiful I love it. I think I may try something like this next year.
Love love this natural Christmas tree! You did very excellent job! I know the christmas tree topper is last minute idea but I think it tie in with your ornaments if you tie twine string where you connect all the the branches
But overall very very beautiful tree. Love watching all your videos. I look forward to it every day. 😊 Merry Christmas to your whole family.
Absolutely looooove this tree! It's so cozy looking, and I love how the lights shine through the fruit!!!!! Beautiful!
Inspired. I like how the lights make the orange slices glow
What a perfect, little tree! I love it as well as your sun porch. The tree adds to the ambiance. I would sit out there whenever I could. Mine is screened in and in Upstate, New York, winters are quite harsh so I can’t leave plants on it. Benjamin munching on the popcorn strings . . . .just too adorable! Merry Christmas to you, Aaron, Benjamin, Chris, Mom and Dad, Russell, Cheddar and the chickens! And THANK YOU for giving this 60-year-old the push to relight my love of gardening.
This is an absolutely charming tree Laura, I love it so much! I also went natural with my tree this year, I added little dried painted gourds and pine cones to mine - but I got so many ideas from this! I think it's so important for everyone to start using less plastic and mass-produced products generally, but especially at Christmas, as our environment is suffering so much. But this is the perfect example that home-made and natural can be gorgeous too!
This is my favorite tree!!!! When we first got married 31 years ago, we did not have money for ornaments so I made all my ornaments by hand, got some ceramic little houses ans painted them as well as some angels. To this day I still decorate one tree with those. It reminds me of how much we can do with so little and of God's infinite providence!!!! Thank you Laura and Erin for being so inspirational to so many. All blessings to all your family during this Christmas and all throughout the year!!
By the way, this year I am giving amarylis planted pots done by me to my loved ones!!!!
Love the tree. Made pressed flower ornaments after watching you and gave them for gifts. Also do wood slice ornaments every year
That drill bit was pretty close to the fingers. Please don't hurt yourself and use thick gloves next time! Your mom would have said the same thing. My mommy instincts kicked in.😊 That tree is gorgeous😍
I was nervous too! I LOVE how the garland turned out!
For bein a prifession sometimes she is so silly haha... She just goes for it!
That looks fantastic. I hope you, Aaron and Benjamin have a Wonderful Christmas. God Bless!
I think you hit the jackpot with this one! I was glad you decided to drop the Dollar Tree ornament tree. Baby Benjamin ate a good bit of that garland! So cute! The tree came out perfect!
I love this tree. I am going to have to work on on3 of those for next year to put on the back deck. So much fun. You always do a great job. You could also made one with ornaments the birds can eat and put it outside. So much fun.
A lot of work! Wow!
How does one ensure that any field mice don’t smell the popcorn?
use a slightly larger diameter drill bit for the holes in the nuts and use a soft-doll making needle ( the needles you use for making dolls from nylon stockings ) or long yarn needle to thread your twine and string your nuts.
Oh my goodness! CZcams recommended this two year old video to me this morning so I got to watch it for the second time! Such a darling tree. And it was lovely to see Toddler Benjamin again, plus 🐈⬛ ! Much love from Florida!
That is more beautiful than a lot of the overdecorated, flashy modern trees to be honest. You did such a great job and it was fun and easy to watch.
When the night shots came this tree is now my fav of all time, the way it looks in the dim light is truly magical.
Very Nice Tree. An Idea for next time is to use a Vice. It would hold you Nuts better for Drilling. A small or medium sized one comes in very handy when doing things alone as a second set of hands. Best if mounted do real sturdy. You can make it mobile. I might have raised Tree up some so could of seen more from inside house. Just me though. Have Great Day
I think I prefer your natural style Christmas tree to a traditional one! It’s lovely, whimsy, and makes me smile. 🥰
Beautiful. One of the benefits of a natural tree is not using plastic. Plastic is causing lots of problems for living creatures and our planet. Your channel brightens my life. Thank you.
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing.🌟🎄❤️
Love this tree Laura. Next year with your popcorn garland you could perhaps string real cranberries in it. I used to do 4 popcorn to 1 cranberry back in the day when my tree was all handmade ornaments. The color of the cranberry is so striking. You did such a great job. I love your nut garlands and your pressed flowers especially but it is all great.
mary lefave, love the idea of the cranberries! What a beautiful colour to add to a Christmas tree.
mary lefave yes I was thinking next year she could add cranberries though they don’t store as well
I made a real popcorn garland about 20 years ago and I still use it. It looks great. I just store it in a cardboard box. No mice, mold or problems.
Much more sustainable than the dollar tree challenge! U might end up buying stuff there that you don’t actually LOVE but natural materials never get old 💚♻️
