- In the early 80's, Jordan and UNESCO expelled the people of the B’doul tribe from the ancient city of Petra to declare it as a world heritage site.
While hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world flock to the site, the local community seeks to rebuild their life on the tiny territory allocated for them.

A life of freedom, like a bird. I can respect that.
Slice does an excellent job of documenting simple peoples and cultures. My favorite is the one in Cuba where the poor people who are not granted a fishing license, sneak out at night on the ocean on inner tubes and fish returning in the morning.
They got kicked out in 1984, no compensation for the great tourist dollar...I love their way of life, natural and it worked for hundreds of years...
