    This video is about the new Behringer Bi-Phase and how to get creative with this Pedal and some real and virtual synthesizers. If you'd also like to buy one, consider to do it in our affiliate shop via this partner link: www.thomann.de/de/behringer_bi_phase.htm?partner_id=51772

    I am going to get one of these! I play guitars as well as synthesizers. I have two Boss Micro-rack format RPH-10 phaser units, which may be paired for stereo operation, but this will be a nice purchase, and will offer another "flavour" of phasing. Finding analog devices which offer true stereo I/O is becoming more important, and I am glad manufacturers are heeding our requests..

    You always have good videos about synths, and now need to add a wine tasting and review at the end of each. 😊

    Nice overview of using the Bi-Phase on different keyboards, old and new -- and even unsexy (90s romplers).

    Hiya! Interesting video but would love to see a synth control the bi phaser using control voltages as the behringer bi-phase has a cv input that could be connected to a synths cv output.
    It might make a really interesting and different sound when it is all in sync.

    Thanks for the video. I have owned a few originals that were a bit noisy so the new Behringer offering is quite nice, esp the price!! However when I engage the plugin I lose significant gain, and tone from original source. I have the proper power adapter so not really sure, but i dont recall such tone sucking, and gain reduction in the original. I still like that slippery glossy tone that I get but its quite a bit less practical now for most applications.

    Thank you for this positive review of the Bi-phase... can't wait forit to be generally available. I have the old Behringer Vintage Phase which is fine but the signal level drop when using it is annoying. Hopefully this one doesn't do that.

      I bought the vintage phaser pedal a while ago. Not a good experience, and swapped it for the Smallstone Nano! Bi-Phase is another league of phasing!

      The "Vintage Phaser" is a pretty authentic clone of the EHX Small Stone, rather than the Mu-Tron Biphase. To avoid the signal drop on the Vintage Phaser with line level input put a buffered pedal in front of it first.. for example:
      synth -> vintage phaser = big signal drop
      synth -> empress reverb -> vintage phaser = completely fine
      A reamp box would probably also work. Enjoying my Biphase so far

    Hey, Brother! Thanks for the demo. I picked up one of these a week ago and I have tinkering with it. I definitely sounds lush!

    Does it work as a flanger as well?

    • @juicythedj750
      @juicythedj750 Před rokem +1

      Short answer: no :)
      A phaser effect is based on filtering/coloring the sound and the center frequency is then modulated using lfo/cv. A flanger uses a very short delay (most of the times with a bdd chip) and the delay time is modulated with lfo.
