Oh dear. Sorry I confused you with Sanna Nielsen. I only mentioned her to give a reference to the movie. Because the movie is about Eurovision, a huge song contest in Europe. And Sanna had competed in that contest. Again. So sorry for confusing you!!! Do you want to react to another Sanna song? In English or in Swedish? I'll find a song for you if you are interested.
I wanted to see a reactor I knew react to this song and Molly as it was nominated for an Oscar. It didn't win though. But I think it was the best that came out of that movie and I am really proud of Molly and happy she is getting recognition for her singing. It is a proud moment for any Swede but also for Iceland.
So yes, there are a few words sung in Icelandic. As Molly Sandén is Swedish she had to learn to try and pronounce those lyrics believable. It's Icelandic because the movie is set there and the main characters that Will and Rachel play are Icelandic. The town Husavik is an actual town on Iceland. And if you get to see the clip from the Oscar's night you will see a children's choir and other musicians and I think I read that most if not all are from that village. It was a proud moment for all of them to be abe to do this performance.
