    About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

I love that Woody’s impression of David sounds just like David’s impression of him

Woody is amazing and I hope someday to meet him. If not, I still feel a bit of his light radiating through my screen when he talks, when he paints. He seems like an extraordinary fellow with a great smile and real humor and joy that lets me know it's genuine. And it's beautiful. Much adoration from across the pond and to the stars we bathe in. ❤️

A previous “What did he just say?” moment for Woody was when he heard Bowie sing the line “falls wanking to the floor” during the recording of Time. The others in the room were like “Did he just say wanking? Can you say that in a song?”

Tbf Woody is a great Human being, both He and Bass player Trevor Bolder had no Idea what was gonna Happen , whereas guitarist Mick Ronson did. It all Came about because Woody and Trevor discovered that Bowies pianist Mike Garson was getting more money than Them . They were still getting the Same Money as when Ziggy First became A Known act. They complained , Understandably, and So They were basically Discarded . After the Final concert Bowie and Ronson went on to the Big Aftershow party with many Musicians and celebrities present. Mick and Trevor were left to Find Their own way Home. Woody got a Phone call afterwards on His wedding Day, From Mike Garson Telling Him He was no Longer Needed, in Short he was sacked. Trevor Bolder marched into the studio where , Bowie, His management and Mick Ronson were having a Meeting. Trevor shouted at Bowie about His Treatment Of Woody, and Mick Ronson Took Him to one Side and Said be Quiet, Or Youll be sacked Too. So Trevor Was Kept on For one Last Ziggy Album, pin ups which was cover Versions. Aynsley Dunbar replaced Woody on Drums. After Pin ups , Bowie moved on to Tour America with New Musicians in 1974 and ziggy stardust and the Spiders from Mars were no more......Woody is Still Friends with Mike Garson and Theyve Played together in Group Holy Holy. Ronson and Bolder have long Since been Deceased R.i.p Bowie, Ronson and Bolder....

love Bowie but he should have told them he was brave but sometimes he didn't have the nerve to face people knowing he would upset them I think he didn't like confrontations which is consistent with him being an introvert.

I don't know if it was Woody or Trevor say that it's probably a good thing he didn't tell them. Although, I think Mick Ronson knew. It's other issues like Woody being told he was no longer in the band on his wedding day, and financial matters, that are harder to forgive and forget.

Madonna based her career on Dave Jones/David Bowie constantly reinventing himself - true, allegedly apparently. 😎🙂

    • @dannystrat

The difference between Bowie and Madonna - one of the many - was the fact that Madonna would change approaches, but it was primarily the same thing. Bowie completely changed his approach and personas.
