Boom! I can relate! Thank you!
Dear Jess, your videos makes me so happy, it's like part of my mental health process :D thank u so much for your hard work
Thank you so much for your tips. As an introvert, nerdy person it has taken me a lot of time to understand that walking and hiking were not a punishment but a help for mental health! Also thanks for the RLStine tip of stopping writing mid sentence. I always strive to end a chapter in order to post it on AO3 and then months pass without me updating my stories! I think this tip is going to be very helpful! And the idea of adding raw carrots to cereal may be just the thing for me as well!
PS something that works for me is to ask myself if what I write on my schedule is really something I want to accomplish. I noticed that a lot of times I was scheduling stuff that I thought I was supposed to do but actually weren’t true priorities for me, only to end up not doing them and getting frustrated. Ex. going to the gym is a no no for me, but walking can be as effective as “normal” sport!
A kindred spirit! I’m an introvert as well. I was also a music nerd in school and resented the sports teams who got a new million dollar football field despite being mediocre when our band and choir had been winning high awards for decades and didn’t even have any sort of theatre or concert hall - we literally had to perform our concerts in the open entrance/cafeteria space - so I think I have always had an inbuilt psychological aversion to exercise because that was what the “sporty kids” did. Perspective is everything!
And thanks for the extra scheduling tip!
However adverse to it we may be. The fact still remains that we are more productive and function better with a routine. Some form of schedule for the day
