It's the fact that tier 3 won't fix the problem, it just feels like another way of invalidating the arts.
the difference in carries emotion hearing the prologue for the first time after quarantine and the last time before going into tier three is so heart wrenching. but we will all be back soon ❤️

I know you talked about scrapbooking your wrist bands, but I think they would also be cool in a fillable Christmas bauble.
My mother-in-law filled one for us with little things from our wedding and it was super sweet. We don't have a tree so I haven't pulled it out in a couple years but I know it has a paper napkin because my husband chose ones with a really pretty color swirl, and a lucky penny that she thinks was a sign from Grandpa, who died 3 months before the wedding.

Carrie, it is so sad that the theatre has closed again. So many precautions have clearly been taken. To put it in perspective, I am a nurse in the community and have only been tested once since the beginning of Covid-19. Colleagues have been tested positive and we don’t have Covid bubbles so still expected to work. For the theatre industry doing so much to prevent anyone from catching it, it seems so silly to shut your doors again. I hope you will be open again soon and I hope I can come and watch you for the first time one day! ❤️
I have been told by many nurse friends that they are not tested regularly! If hospitals don’t require their staff to test regularly and theatres are doing that willingly, it should show how important safety is to the theatre staff/performers. So very sad
@@baylay1062 in the hospitals they have Covid tests readily available to be tested once a week. Unfortunately in the community we don’t even have the option to be tested! I think they should be mandatory. But I agree with you - it’s taken a lot more seriously in places like theatres!!
@@annawinn1001 Can I ask which country you're in? Seems absurd that you shouldn't be tested more often. I'm a nursing student doing a rotation in an old folks home and I get tested once or twice a week.
As someone who also works alongside actors and in the theatre and entertainment industry this broke me. Alfie’s “One Show More” hit me right in the feels and I’m sobbing. Theatre will be back. It has to be. Stay strong Carrie.

I’m a teacher and my fellow teachers and I have been constantly enraged and baffled by this government’s mishandling of the pandemic. And while our jobs have put us and our loved ones in danger and the workload has doubled, at least we haven’t been stopped doing the thing we love for no good reason.

Being there last night was something else. I wept from start to finish and the atmosphere in there was just incredible! We were dress circle c28 and felt so safe inside with so many measures in place- so much more dangerous one street over where it was rammed full of people!! Thank you for such an incredible performance last night and a show I’ll never forget xxx

Carrie that was so moving . I couldn't agree more that the streets are scarily overcrowded & people are not wearing masks.
I was at the matinee performance on Saturday 12th December and felt far safer in the theatre than outside on the street or in any shops. It's all so wrong to close the theatres. I want to thank you & all the rest of the cast and everyone involved with the show for all the hard work that's gone into entertaining us musical theatre lovers.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have been in the audience last night. I should have been starting a Stage Management degree at RADA this year at 27 years old. I am in love with this industry and it is completely heartbreaking to see it treated like this. I hope you’re doing okay. We will be back x

hearing an entire ensemble sing in a show always makes me emotional when i’m in a theatre, but the ending made me even more emotional even though i’m watching it through a screen. it all feels so big and it sucks. hope you will be back very soon.
Haven’t done a show in over a year :( but whenever I’m in a show I always pack everything up while I’m waiting to go on at some point in act 2 so I can just get straight home once the show finishes. I saw you doing the same and it made me feel so warm and a bit sad cause that’s such a tiny ritual that I always loved. It’s those small things that I miss the most about theatre. Gosh. I just ache all over when I think about how long it’s been since I’ve been on stage. :(

People need entertainment like theatre more than they need pubs open! The effect on an audience when that music starts is amazing and emotional. What you have done during those past 10 performances is amazing in the circumstances. Such a great company - such a phenomenal musical experience.
Nothing ever makes me cry.... but "one show more" sent me into a fit of uncontrollable sobs
Incredibly moved by this, I cried at the end. As someone that adores the theatre I am sad, have been sad all year. I cannot imagine the pain this is causing everyone involved in the industry. Truly thinking of you, and can’t wait to see as many shows as I can when the situation allows it x

When Carrie and Shan started singing the finale, I broke into floods of tears. I pray that theatre will be back soon for us at home and for every person in the performing business, be it front of house, back stage or the actors themselves.

When you all sang 'one show more' [insert many, many crying emojis]. It made me cry on BGT and now again. I moved to London last year and was so enjoying being able to go to the theatre and sit in the cheap seats after work and I so miss it. Fingers crossed it won't be long before we're all back doing what we love again

I'm so sorry that you've had to stop working. I'm a teacher and we're having to go completely remote for January and I'll miss being in school so much.

I live in Australia and to see this continue to happen not only makes me cry but makes me angry that you all have to live through this again. I had my first bigger show canceled on me in March so I understand all the feelings. I am lucky that we here are able to do shows again but that does not make your situation any worse. Totally feeling your sadness. Last day at school today, and at the staff gathering our head teacher mentioned that we may not be fully reopening- closing all year groups except Year 11, everything else will be online. I'll still get to teach, but it's just not the same as being in the classroom and being able to joke with the kids and dance around the room and brighten their day. They won't see their friends again for a good couple of weeks, maybe even months, and there will be kids stuck in abusive homes, being physically or emotionally abused or just neglected. Worst of all, I know which kids they'll be. As exhausted as I am, I'm so miserable that term is over and that I'm not in work where I can help them. We all just need this shit show to end so we can have our lives again.
I could listen to that little 2 second clip of Carrie singing the epilogue all day. I knew this would make me sad, did not expect to fully cry at this video.

A totally selfish positive: this year has done one massive thing for me. I have realised just how incredibly important theatre and London is to me. So, after 6 years of dilly dallying I'm actually going to apply for drama school next autumn. Do what you love guys, please. I went to see Six last night and I honestly cannot believe that oxford street can stay open and busy but safer theatres can’t. I’ve never cried so much in a theatre before 😭
may be having a breakdown right now at the 'one show more' but we are fine, i feel so privileged to have been able to see this and it is just heartbreaking to see it being shut down so soon it is a real disgrace on the government, i have never felt so safe inside before and i hate the fact that they believe that the shows should be shut down.
