  • 110 film cameras were the staple of my parents' youth, now that they've brought back the ORIGINAL cameras they used to use, do they still work?

That's great man! My mother used to use one of those too, a Kodak Ektra 200, which she found again a couple of months ago and gifted to me.
Also a couple of months ago, I was able to find fresh 110 film by Lomography and just last week, I found a lab that develop and scans the format (something way more difficult to come across than I anticipated).
I can't wait to finally use it as well as to see what you come up with once you give yours a "real" go!

I can’t explain my obsession with fixing old film cameras. I realize that film, as we know it, will completely disappear from the world (hopefully not soon), and repairing cameras will enable them to outlast the very medium for which they were designed. But there’s an incredible satisfaction that comes with being able to say “It still works after all these years!”. So, future be damned, I’m going to live for today.. and use film to document everything.. as long as I can.
ps, I’m probably older than your parents.. jus’ sayin’

Grab yourself a Pentax Auto-110 kit, it’s the smallest SLR camera ever made, and can be had easily with the 3-lens kit!
It’s my favorite camera to shoot, exposure works great with Lomography’s Orca and Tiger, there’s an actual usable focusing screen in the reflex viewfinder, you can change focal lengths, and the glass is actually good which give the 110 film a step up versus most 110 cameras.

Will definitely put it on my list, anything to keep other film formats alive!

One of my first film cameras was a USA made Ektralite 10. I absolutely loved the results, especially with flash. Unfortunately it was so brittle it slowly fell apart and, though I could use it with tape and rubber bands, the flash gave out at some point and I decided to retire the camera. I found a Mexico made version at an antique store. I liked the results a good bit but they aren't the same as the USA made one. I imagine they use slightly different lenses but I don't know for sure.

I think My Uncle had an old vivitar.. I'm not sure if it had "Cube" type flash or a built in Strobe.
    Thanks for the Memories,
