  • I use my Openbuilds LEAD 1515 CNC and OpenSCAD to cut through dovetails drawer box joints and the cut outs for under mount drawer slides.
I am working on polishing my OpenSCAD code and will look to share it once it’s ready.

Hey man, nice video, would you be able to point me in the direction of what brand the cnc machine is? Or did you build it yourself? Also the software you use, is there a big learning curve with it? Thanks

Openbuilds lead 1515. It’s like a big tinker toys kit that you assemble. Took a few nights to build. I made my whole kitchen on it. The cad program, open scad and its open source. The CAM software isn’t too hard. I’ve only used free stuff, to get the most out of your cnc you probably need to buy aspire or something like it which is $$$. Eventually I will fork over the money.

Hey You, I'am really intrested in your OpenSCAD code, even it's not "polished". Is there a easy the to share it for you?

It’s cleaned up now. I will soon post a video on how to use it with the code.

    How’s the machine works?
Is the dust gets stuck into the wheel and stopped working smoothly? Or do you find any issues with working longer time?
    Thank you,
