@@namk19 Was “The Codebook of Mata Hari” really the episode that aired on September 12, 1993? When in 1993 did “The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa” really air?
Thank you for uploading this episode! This is one of my favorite wins on the show after the Lucky Pillow episode. The team started out slow, but David really picked it up once he reached the Treasury of the Golden Orbs. Gotta love how he quickly assembles the Silver Monkey while holding all 3 pieces at once. And he hauls ass out of the temple the second he grabbed the Headdress. One of the most exciting wins on the show.
@@jamesmoore1396 David was an awesome player and would've won in any Season. Candace wasn't bad herself, but her speed wouldn't have helped them in the Season 2 & 3 temples. But they were Season 1 contestants and didn't have the luxury of watching the show beforehand like the later Season contestants.
@James Moore season 2 or 3, he would’ve escaped either the Swamp or Jester’s Court. He would’ve gotten out of that room faster. Plus he would’ve had an easier time getting out of the pit. I don’t see much of a difference to be honest.
@@Derek70388 For this Temple Run, I would have taken this Path if those Doors were open of course. The Room Of The Royal Gongs-The Troubled Bridge-The Observatory-The Treasury Of The Golden Orbs-The Shrine Of The Sliver Monkey-The Tomb Of The Ancient Kings-The Holes Of Python
Jordan Hudson: That’s true, but at that time it was the Jesters Court, which was easier to get in and out of then a swamp themed room, like the holes of the python in this one. I’m saying this is the only treasure that was grabbed in that room space that was swamp themed
Would’ve been a solo run if starting from the Royal Gongs and going straight to the Golden Orbs. And boy did David haul ass outta there once grabbing the artifact. Talk about turning it on.
This team was so lucky, they barely made it. Even though the front runner should've went up to the Royal Gong Room from the start, and that the door to the Golden Orbs room was open from the Observatory. She probably could've soloed this had she done those, but fantastic work.
Not luck, David was one of the best players on the show. Watch how he hauls ass out of the temple after grabbing the Headdress. Maybe Ron (Anne Bonny), Chris (Lost Lariat), Jason (Icarus), and Kimberly (Broken Trident) should take note.
TweesterREO I say you may be right. This was one of the few episodes I recall where all 3 temple guards were encountered but both players had pendents and the temple run was a success.
the royal gong thing was kinda out of her control. I think she really wanted to go down to the throne and then into the holes of python so I can't blame her for going down from the observatory
@@jamesmoore1396 There was a solo chance in this run. If Candace started in the Room of the Royal Gongs and entered the Treasury from the Observatory, she would've avoided two guards.
It was technically 2 seconds left on the clock when the second runner passed the temple gate. Nevertheless, an excellent temple run just like the Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata.
The Last episode of season 1 was the treasure of Anne Bonny and the final episode in season in season 3 was the jewel encrusted egg of Catherine the great
Andre Clemons in addition had the second runner started from the gong room and not went through the room of the fallen columns and went straight to the golden orbs, it’d been a lot easier
No, the rock slab was down during the temple run. Normally when the rock slab is raised, it will cover the Heart Room door in the Pit. You can see the rock slab is down when Candance runs across the Troubled Bridge. The rock slab was raised when David grabbed the artifact, most likely by a switch by the production team.
For the first one, there was probably a rule that both of them had to enter the same way (the entrances went from 2 to 1 in season 2). As for the second, he knew that they needed to get down to get to the headdress.
ARGUABLY THE MOST EMOTIONAL RUN OF LEGENDS HISTORY !!!!
CLUTCH!!!!!
I have a few favorite temple runs with the green monkeys, and this is one of them.
This Temple Run was the first ever aired. Good choice for a premiere episode.
And Mata Hari was second
@@namk19 Actually, “The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa” aired second.

If this was seasons 2 or 3, he doesn't make it out on time.

The Room Of The Royal Gongs-The Troubled Bridge-The Observatory-The Treasury Of The Golden Orbs-The Shrine Of The Sliver Monkey-The Tomb Of The Ancient Kings-The Holes Of Python
Top 10 classic finishes
This run is exciting, but the ''Milk bucket of Freydis'' is the best ever.
that one is kinda boring
@gunther stewart your mom is boring
True, but it was the Purple Parrots
I think this was the only episode where a team got the treasure out of the swamp themed room of the temple.
Tiffani managed to get the Much Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain out of the same room space in Season 3.

Jordan, I think he means for season 1
Kyle Wheeler: Exactly
Original airdate: September 11, 1993
Two seconds left, and the green monkeys won it all. Also, in case someone asked who is singing; it's Etta James with a love ballad " At Last".
Would’ve been a solo run if starting from the Royal Gongs and going straight to the Golden Orbs. And boy did David haul ass outta there once grabbing the artifact. Talk about turning it on.
thanks for ointing out the obvious
Doesn’t get closer than that.
You sure?
I can’t believe that he win the game by one second

She wouldn't have soloed it because there was a temple guard in the Golden orbs room, just like the room of Fallen Columns.

How he managed to get from The Holes of the Python to the temple gates in just 28 seconds is something I’ll never understand.
Adrenaline and will to win
Doesn't get much closer than that.
Descending into the tomb of the ancient kings and using the footholes to climb at the end were the difference makers.
3:16 Didn't even need to use the ladder to climb into the Ledges/Cave of Sighs.
Holy guacamole, he made it just as the clock hit :0!

Olivia-Emma’s run?

Nothing beats the excitement of it coming down to the last second! Great job!
First time you see in the temple:
The Falling Columns
The Golden Orbs
You forgot The Cave of Sighs
This has to be the greatest run ever
Talk about cutting it close! Still a great winning run!
Both of them going into "The Room of the Fallen Columns" was almost a fatal error
Ellande Campbell: True, but I think the other door from the observatory didn’t open
👏👍🙂
Won in the nick of time
Last episode of the season to be made, first to air.
The Last episode of season 1 was the treasure of Anne Bonny and the final episode in season in season 3 was the jewel encrusted egg of Catherine the great
Happy 30th anniversary to Legends of the Hidden Temple
When she is lost in cave of size...
host: she knows where she’s going.
Everyone: my ass she does
they were a great team, such a difficult layout
It helped this was in season one. If this would have been in season two or three, they would have not got out of the temple in time.
This win could’ve been a solo win if they didn’t enter the cave and the room of fallen columns
That was soo sooo close. Well done
30 years since this run aired
Had she not have wasted so much time in the Cave of Sighs, they probably wouldn't have been so down to the wire.
Andre Clemons in addition had the second runner started from the gong room and not went through the room of the fallen columns and went straight to the golden orbs, it’d been a lot easier
not really her fault
That’s not really her fault. Thing is, the Troubled Bridge really would cause detours either up in the Crypt, or in this case, in the Cave of Sighs.
At the buzzer 3:29
Not I kind of see from the temple guard in the ledges, that their headgear isn’t completely reddish-orange, but some gray.
My question is how'd the rock slab get raised?
Producers lifted it

I found David on Facebook. He’s a quadriplegic today :(
His name is David Hill
I've seen his Twitter.
As far as I remember, the second player in this Temple Run was the last player to enter The Tomb Of The Ancient Kings and The Holes Of Python.
Why second player go from the ledge when he know that he has to go up and why both go down from Observatory when they can go front.
For the first one, there was probably a rule that both of them had to enter the same way (the entrances went from 2 to 1 in season 2). As for the second, he knew that they needed to get down to get to the headdress.
win
If I remember, this was the only Temple Run during the 4 Temple Run Win Streak where a Team other than the Silver Snakes went to the Temple.
