This man is genuine. He isn't some product of the music industry. The date on the video is 2011. It's now 2015. Why isn't this man famous by now? He's brilliant and he has the most amazing voice.
He does have an amazing voice. But the music business is quirky. Why is Bieber famous and not Josh? Talent is just not the only factor, or obviously not even the main one.
Not the most amazing voice by any measure. He was upstaged by the brilliant and actually talented Alanis. His voice is just about mediocre; maybe good for pub karaoke.

I didn’t hear it as Josh being upstaged by Alanis. He was respectful and didn’t try to overpower. It’s not an easy song either.

He got to sing with some of the most awesome Female artist ever.But still she was just as lucky singing with less famous but still an amazing singer.That audition was Perfect!

This is one of my favourite songs ever and this is a great performance. However I think she was held down a little, maybe by the show, if you see her other performances of the song, most are a lot more dramatic and energetic.
I hope Alanis gives a jagged little pill to all the naysayers. Josh and Alanis rock!

Alanis got the power of singing with the mic and her mouth on the side. Usually, your body most be str8 forward with the MIC, not her and it sounds magical.

I love Josh. He sings every song as if it's the last chance he'll ever have. He's clearly star struck by Alanis, but who the hell wouldn't be? I agree with Paula. He puts everything he's got into every song. He didn't win because, by unlucky chance, he was up against someone with equal talent. Could have gone either way.

He's an amateur singing with a professional on a night when her voice is in perfect form. Of course he suffers in the comparison. He did very very well though.

I agree. Alanis is such a unique voice, it must be hard to sing with her at the same time. So he's kind of singing under her. But in his other videos he has quite the range and power.
