    I am completely agree with you.
    I owne the LooperBoard since 2020 and there are holy craps and shits on it.
    1) The Click doesn't work perfectly. It is out of the tempo sometimes. So it's a real bug !
    2) Some Tracks are out of tempo with the other Tracks when you play a long, very long music and songs.
    3) Sometimes, the Display of Tracks disappear wihtout touching anything
    4)... etc... etc...
    The price was 800 euros for this one and the other (Sheeran) is 1400 euros : it's a shame ! They took musician like "dummies".
    Too expansive for nothing better... awfull !!!

    Thanks for making this great video. We have 2 looperboards and totally agree about this whole Beta testing thing...feels like Headrush exploits its customers as free testers, then abandons them. We also replaced all the switches with Lehle switches and still have CONSTANT issues. The number of times we have had to open up the Lehle switches, and the whole board itself, is painful. The honorable thing to do would be to offer some sort of compensation to all of us who bought a teribbly built product or at the very least deliver the firmware update they promised us...but in lieu of that we are hoping Boss sort out the error message issues and that the RC600 is a more reliable product. Would never trust Headrush again.

      I’ve have the exact same issues and with the same Lehle switches 😕

    Thank you. I totally agree pretty much with everything you say at the conclusion. First I thought that I was unlucky about the switches on my Headrush looperboard. Recently it broke down completely and I got back to my old rc300. Now I see that others are facing the same problems l. Didn’t came across this on other reviews on yt. I wouldn’t buy the Sheeran board. I was wondering, which looper are you using now on the stage?

    I've been using the looperboard for over a year and a half and thought they would have at least updated something. The specs are near identical when I read them. I think there's an 8 bit improvement on fx sample rate but not the overall sample rate and they haven't put any of the gear from the Prime into this. Even Bluetooth would have been great. It's a complete sellout. Ed did the same thing with Louden guitars where the price quadrupled and they're completely out of range for most people from what was a Nice Irish guitar for mainly folk musicians.
    I've also had to add in some preamps and effects to an already big fx board using a daft silly big nova 32 to combat this problem. Also, I doubt the one that Ed made will be the one he uses on stage. The will have modified TF out of it and still probably use Ableton software in the background right now. Something I'm in the process of doing.

    Thank you for this wonderful video, sharing your very well justified frustration and disappointment. I have used the Looperboard for approx 2 yrs and was hopeful this 'new' take on things would improve on the FX, crappy pre amps and various software frustrations - your video has saved me purchasing a unit only to be disappointed. It's a shame as with the much improved hardware, it is appealing but with the old software sitting behind it it's really just the same girl in a new dress.
    Sincerely, thank you though... this would have been a really expensive waste of money for me and I hope it works out for you. I'm now off to investigate how useful the Quad Cortex could be for me instead...

      Thank you for your Kind words. The more i think about it the more i think it is exactly this. Just a new dress.

    Can you change the volume of different layers in a loop?

    What do you think about rc 600. I am confused about which one should I buy - looper x or rc 600? Is sheeran looper x better than rc 600?

    • @SebastianBogensperger
      @SebastianBogensperger  Před 2 měsíci +1

      At this moment i really can not recommend the Sheeran Looper X. RC 600 seem more workable now. The thing is. I believe there is no real solid bigger Hardware Looper on the market. Sadly.

    Thank you very much, I'm from Bolivia here there are very few options and I just got the Headrush Looperboar and I was wondering if it wasn't better to wait for the Sheeran because I would expect it to be superior

    Hi. Love your video!
    Can you use looper board just like Sheeran models?? Sheeran model looks easier to perform on live shows. Like Mode function and stuff

    • @SebastianBogensperger
      @SebastianBogensperger  Před 2 měsíci

      Not exactly. The workflow is different. And only better if you loop like Ed. If you do, its good. If you loop like me it is not.

    I agree 100%. How is released in this state? It’s a travesty. Yes please prove us wrong. I have 10 days left before my return window closes. If it’s not updated before then it goes back.

      Yeah it's kind of a bummer. I had high hopes for this thing. And "no", i don't want to hold on with 2 month of rent invested to see if it maybe will be good in 2 years. And i am just talking about the very basics. I don't need any fancy stuff. Just good robust solid basics.

    • @JoshElliottMusic

      @@SebastianBogensperger Yeah for sure. Just basic looping functionality would be great. The pedals are awesome but not enough to offset the lack of basic looping functions. At least we have other options though.

      Thanks for the comparison video. I have the looperboard and as soon as i saw Ed Sheeran X, I thought, that’s the Headrush with new pedal buttons and Ed Sheerans name on it. You just proved that. You also make sense on the effects, just give us quality effects in smaller numbers rather than overload us with unusable effects.
      There is a saying in English,
      LESS IS MORE
      Good luck with the beta testing.

    R&D (research and development) is expensive. Head Rush put a lot of money into developing it's first LooperBoard but it wasn't good and failed miserably. It's stupid as a company to place priority on software updates for failing hardware.
    So... They abandoned the old (external) hardware and made NEW (external) hardware, this time with an endorsement from a major looping artist.
    The good news is that the guts of the Sheeran are plenty powerful enough to be a great unit, It's just a matter of enough units selling for Headrush to give a shit.
    My guess is that they will, The Looper X has already generated more buzz in weeks then the first looperboard did during its entire existence. Word is that the next patch is coming in a matter of weeks.
