Debunking The Myth Of Spiritual Solutions For Schizophrenia: Understanding Mental Health Matters

Myth 6: Schizophrenia is caused by religious or spiritual problems: such as not praying enough or being morally corrupt and so on. I disagree that wrong belief systems are the cause.
Myths In Mental Health Stigma
What's required is mental health awareness about mental health matters. Self awareness can go a long way in helping a person understand and cope. Spiritual problems might be real, but so is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia does not have a spiritual solution.
Indeed, I side with science on this issue. I don't want to disparage belief systems, but I cannot reasonably accept a religious interpretation of my symptoms. At one point I did!
