I just purchased this and voice control does work you have to click mic emblem on screen, you can voice search music locations and instructions to unit.
Thank you for this review - I have been looking for reviews of this unit and yours is one of the first I have seen, but this is a new device so understandable. I did actually pick up one of these devices, and was wondering if you have had any luck with screen mirroring or if you have an Android phone and have tried the Android Auto or Android Cast? When I am connected to wireless Android Auto, I cannot seem to get to the option of Android Cast. It seems I have to disconnect/turn off Bluetooth, then press the "Android Auto" on screen to get the Android Cast option. But if Android Auto shows as "connected", then I can't seem to get to the Android Cast. It seems on other Carpuride devices there is a separate "button" on screen for "Android Cast" but not on this one. It seems cumbersome to have to turn off Bluetooth to get to the other connection options. Have you had any experience or info to share on this? Thanks again for the review!
Isn't there a possibility that by connecting the cell phone to the charging connector it can also be connected to the tablet? Have you tried it? I don't know if there is a device that does that, but there is.

I’ve got the 700 series. The thing is exactly as advertised. I do find using aux vs FM modulation works way better. It’s been flawless for a year.
I have the slimmer wider very; the layout is a bit different. I’ve had it for almost a month; it’s worked well. The voice commands do work on mine.
