would that projection example be personalization because the athlete is overthinking something that is not true that the other person is thinking

@Rose Nate Projection is more like assigning your own unacceptable feelings / desires / qualities to others. ( ex: you feel like sleeping with other people so you accuse your spouse of cheating ) whereas personalization is like taking a random act as a personal attack ( like when she got paranoid that the chipotle guy is punishing her )
