He just needs to stop playing the same set over and over and over. It used to be more interesting to tune in to his sets and downloaded them(i have a lot of his sets on my hard drive), for the past 2 years his sets have sounded the same. Just listen to the set he played on Mainstage 2 and you will hear a completely different Armin. the guy has amazing talent but for his Mainstage sets (when there is just one Mainstage) he seems to hide it somewhat
jody024 It is that trance diversifies itself into something little different honestly.If you look up Dan Thompson,Faruk Sabanci or even DRYM themeselves,they sound pretty much the same.And i dont say I dont like it,in fact I love it,but Trance needs some fresh blood to get,yknow,kinda diverse,track from track speaking. I still love Armin for what he does.His sets are still energetic and full of love,man you should have seen the crowd in full ČEZ ARENA in Czech Republic on canceled AO.This guy payed over whole stadium by himself,didnt even got payed and still played 4-5 hour set. Also remember that Armin is a face of Trance kinda.He needs to pull stunts for ppl to love trance on gigs,so he cant play that 138 stuff which is liked by less and less ppl.

I am forever hopping on and off a carrier because I am never in one place at any given time
I'd give up nearly anything to live there and be able to go to all the big shows like this one. In North Carolina, USA where I live we have nothing like this. Really we have no trance scene at all. Most people have never even heard of Armin here. I've only met maybe 2 or 3 people in my city that know anything about dance music and even they don't know really even the difference in genres and what trance is. Have to travel 10 hours to either Miami or New York to go to Ultra or Electric Zoo and I'm sure even then its not the same atmosphere as it is in Utrecht or the old Den Bosch shows. If I wasn't married with kids I'd be living over there for sure.
Don't care what anyone says about Armin, he always makes me happy during his sets at ASOT. When I was there for this the moment he dropped Superstring, I could have cried.
I can't believe he played Cygnus X - Superstring. Such a legendary track and he ends with it. What a god. True trance. Gives me hope that he hasn't forgotten his old roots.

This set is very good I like it a lot. It's a shame that you don't make sets like this and you don't produce music like the years 2000 - 2010, in my opinion they should make a set with the best songs from the years 2000 - 2010 But Armin you are the best!!!!
