@@noiselund Holy cow, man, I have been listening to this on repeat all day. I had it open on youtube, and I kept telling myself, "Ok, one more time. Ok, just one more. Ok..." I got tired of clicking Restart every three minutes, so I just opened it in youtube music and put it on repeat.
I don't know whether regular youtube has a repeat function, maybe that was unnecessary.
I can't emphasize enough that this compelling musicality does not come from the source material. The original song is a joke, and it has comedic value, but it does not achieve anything like the emotive power of your song. It's not suppose to! It's just a joke. But you have an ability to take these things and tap into not just the musical potential underlying a sample, but the emotional potential.
It doesn't matter that it's completely ridiculous. "Here I am," layered over the fast-talking verses in the ending, communicates the feelings of a simple, lonely, misfit soul declaring his dignity and presence to a world of strangers.
