If you guys want a real explanation I’ll do it because you guys don’t understand, I played the entire game took 116 hours and it’s my favorite game of all time. If you literally just play the game through and read the interviews along with the mail all the mistique and ambiguity will become one of the most creative and interesting story and lore you’ll see.

@@armintor2826 Higgs looks at/talks to the camera/player character a lot, and if Im not mistaken its only while his Ordek is going. Its like it lets him detect 'us' and speak to us.
No all sides of the game are relevant to the lore and objective, he didn’t just put anything in for appeasements, the grinding part is vital because you are setting up a network across the country to bring people together, but later you find out that very network you set up was a trap to bring about a massive 6th extinction meant to destroy all life by an extinction entity (EE)That’s as far as I’ll go I’ve already said too much, but if you want an thorough explanation i can give you one because I beat the game, and contrary to popular opinion, this is my favorite game of all time, and I play games of all sorts.

The problem with the Clifford boss fight is that they are a combat based boss in a game without combat mechanics, aiming the gun is a bit wonky because usually you'll be using it to deter MULEs which attack in packs so you won't need to aim at specific targets
Right before the whale boss theres a part where you fight 3 of those Lion BTs. I did not try to fight them. I ran away lol

Dude! The strategy with the strand and shotgun in Chapter 4: Unger was amazing! I am curious how do you know where to anticipate Cliff's location in those confusing trenches? Like, how do you know where he is going? I know that the Odradek's position can help but still how can you tell Cliff would walk in the area you are ambushing?

I was wondering about the quality of the boss battles in this game, especially since previous Kojima titles set the bar pretty high; The Cobras, Dead Cell Unit etc. They didn't disappoint.
The boss battles in this game are absolutely generic third person shooter sequences without any strategy or difficulty or neat idea. The f***ing pale in comparison to MGS1 or MGS3 especially.
Do you mean graphically? Because in most other ways these boss battles are rather weak and unoriginal. If you're going to build a game around focusing on non-standard mechanics and not the traditional combat grind, why would your boss battles resemble boss battles from decades-old games? Nostalgia? Why do enemies who were incredibly powerful or crack shots in cutscenes suddenly become lumbering scenery that barely attack or lose the ability to fire a gun at a slowly-moving target?

A little flashlight wouldn’t be needed on the future though. If we’re supposed to believe that in that world it’s about fifty years into the future and the death stranding has only been around for about 20 years then an MMI would already exist. That means we would be connected to chips in our brain and wouldn’t need to carry the baby or that scanner. But that wouldn’t be as “fashionable”.

the stealth aspect is kinda ridiculous given you essentially have a fucking blender processing at max speed strapped to you at all times, like better crouch so they wont hear my footsteps but gotta make my protein shake while im at it.

it's kinda anticlimatic that the final boss is just a generic giant EP Whale that only serves for gameplay purposes alone, even the five Skulls Unit bosses in MGS5 have some sort of plot relevance, seems that only Higgs boss fight was really worked on, and ironic he was the less developed "villain" of the game.

I love that games have become more rounded in character development, world building, and symbolism throughout the years. That said it’s still should be a video game first, and engaging gameplay should still be the most important factor in a game.

SPOILERS FOR STORY:
You are Sam Strand, raised by president Bridget Stand with Amelie. USA is gone after the Death Stranding and countries crumbled. Bridges in an attempt to reform the USA heads west creating infrastructure for a network that operates on the Death Stranding. They get all the way across to the Pacific and Amelie is captured by a city that wants to remain independent. Sam must go west and build up the network to rebuild the USA. Along the way a man named Higgs wants to trigger the final step of the Death Stranding. A total extinction event for mankind, and the key to all of it is Amelie. If anything happens to her she will trigger it. Sam gets to the city and Higgs found her and takes her to the Beach. The Beach is the source of where all the Beached Things(BTs) are pouring in through. Sam beats Higgs and rescues Amelie, but something happens that Sam stays in the city and she stays on the beach. Sam goes back east and finds out that the man Sam has been fighting in the war zones he takes Sam to is his father. The Director of Bridges once worked under Sam’s father in Afganistán, and had known the whole time. Sam gets back east to go to Amelie’s beach. Turns out she was both Bridget and Amelie as her soul and body separated. When Sam was shot as an infant Amelie brought you back so Bridget could raise you. In the end Sam has to cut all ties with Amelie to stop the final stage of the Death Stranding, as he is the only one that can since she made a strong bond with Sam. The bridge baby Sam has through the whole trip he finally raises him as the Death Stranding has been delayed by hundreds of thousands of years.
