Driving On WA SR-7 South In 1990 (Tacoma, Parkland, Spanaway)

Back in 1990, The Washington State Department of Transportation drove South on SR-7 and recorded video to document the highway. This was part of a project that photographed/videotaped the states highways every couple of years. This video now resides at The Washington State Archives who were kind enough to share it.

I would have been seven years old at this time. A lot of this looks familiar, and some of those buildings are still there today. Awesome window into the past; thanks for sharing.

Both of my parents moved up to Parkland Washington in the mid90s and to see Pacific Avenue as it was when they moved here is such a blessing

I miss Spanaway like this. Quiet, less traffic, less people, more trees. I also really miss the Dairy Dell restaurants lol Awesome milkshakes.
