You don't get to be a billionaire by not being able to admit or overcome mistakes. Should be an easy call. They way the analysts are couching it, it sounds like he's being borderline lazy and doesn't want to risk a sub .500 season (or several) on the way to rebuilding. But the Cowboys don't need rebuilding. They need better coaching. Demolishing teams in the regular season and struggling in the post season is a bigger coaching issue than a talent issue. The offense blows teams out at home and struggles on the road, not even remotely looking like the same team. That's really odd. A team that struggles in nearly every "biggest moment" game? A team that every week is talking talking talking about why they're being disrespected etc etc. That's an everyone problem, starting with the owner/general manager (Brou very right about that) down to the star LB Parsons. Less talk. More results. Coaching and culture. Not talent. The talent is absolutely there. The culture and coaching are holding the talent back.
Jerry isn't treating the Cowboys like a winning business. Sure he's making lots of money but his teams can't sustain a winning post season. Jerry Jones is treating his ownership of the Cowboys like a hobby where all of his friends can hang out and enjoy. Listen to the way Jerry talks about Dak and McCarthy, or anyone really. Just listen and ask if that sounds like something a boss would say?

@@timslack7568 Chris(retired) was a DE, and Kyle(current FA in the NFL, last season was with Chicago) is a Guard. I don't think his other son plays football, so my guess is you're talking about Kyle? Either way all 3 of them honestly look older than Howie, including Howie Jr., and Chris is the oldest at 38, Kyle is 35, and Howie Jr. is 34.

As a dallas fan I feel bad for jerry. I've been a fan 20+ years and I'm younger. I understand I will never see a dallas in a superbowl in my lifetime much less win one. So now I imagine jerry being at the end of his life and being rich. However the one thing he would love to have money cant buy. Or atleast cant gurantee success. I dont like when dak gets all the blame but I dont like when jerry gets all the blame either. It's a collective group of mediocrity.

The irruption of CJ Stroud in the AFC, that of Love in the NFC, and the confirmation that Purdy is definitely a franchise QB, are the major events this season. Maybe Lamar, or Allen, can carve their names onto this season, too.
Purdy being a franchise QB is questionable. If/when he gets his contract, they will not longer be able to retain the talent surrounding him. The talent that elevates his play in the first place. Eagles paid Jalen, let go of half their defense and suffered from it massively.

But in terms of football abilities, imho Purdy is as much a franchise QB as other excellent QBs, such as Hurts, Stafford, Goff, Dak, Mayfield, Herbert, Cousins or Lawrence. I see Purdy leading this team for a long time. Everybody is not Mahomes, or Burrow, or those exceptional ones. Peace Cody.
A lot of head coaches lost their jobs. At least some of these HCs were good to excellent coordinators at one point. I see the Eagles looking at them to fill their coaching staff.

Everything Nick says about Mahomes Vs Allen can be said about Brady Mahomes, so I’m going to assume Nick believes Mahomes must have been terrified of Brady… and comparing Brady vs Mahomes passing statistics 20 years apart from each other means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Why not just compare the years they LITERALLY PLAYED AGAINST EACH OTHER? Probably because Nick has an agenda and doesn’t want to point out that Brady won two rings quicker and in two fewer seasons than Mahomes did, beating Mahomes head to head each time (and with two different teams). he also had three rings in equivalent years in the league but according to Nick is being out paced by Mahomes despite not only one fewer ring, but despite Brady literally winning more than Mahomes has over the same period he’s apparently being “out paced” by Mahomes (according to “Nick Math”). According to actual math, apparently Mahomes throwing stats are “better” than Brady’s were 25 years ago… same with every other starting QB in todays NFL, or compared to Brady’s last few years while in his 40’s… and if you think that means anything given the way football has changed in 25 years then your football IQ is as low as Nick’s must clearly be…

I think you, Trade Dak, go with Cooper Rush he’s proven to perform well when he’s had opportunities, you also trade Micah Parsons, because let’s be honest in the last two seasons, he starts off hot, and then he fades because he’s small for the position he’s trying to play. I said this five years ago, when they were about to pay Zeek and Dak, I said Trade both of those guys, that would’ve been the right decision. You could get a kings Ransom for Dak and Micah.
Cowboys can’t trade Dak without his permission, he has a no-trade clause. So it would have to be a team he really wants to go to, and I think he’s happy being the head of the Cowboys.
The best Dallas can do is either extend him or release him for nothing. And I’m willing to bet Jerry will extend him

Tom Brady won the majority of his come back game by throwing the long bomb downfield... then the referees ALWAYS CAUSED PASS INTERFERENCE.
NO OTHER QB got that downfield pass INTERFERENCE calls as much as TB12.. not Drew Brees nit Kappernicn in the Superbowl not Mahomes earlier in season. You can look at all of TB12 come back games... and it was the long bomb pass INTERFERENCE that moved his squad all the way down the field.
