I started learning blues harmonica because of Zeppelin songs. I never got any love on the forums when I mentioned him as my inspiration. The more I learn I can see that his playing is pretty elementary, but it's all about feel and fitting with the song. He's gritty, swampy, and sexy on the harp. His tone on the albums is amazing.
Michael Lee on drums does an incredible job on this song.....The best song they never played live.....Zeppelin reborn.....When Page faces the drummer at the end he is saying good job to Mr. Lee.....very very cool.....
Driving to Saturday shopping, I taught my infant kids to clap at the right time as this intro explodes into the song. They still get it! one of the best harmonica pieces from Plant...
One of my favorites by Zep, always wanted to hear it live. Robert would sometimes just sing a bit of it after they'd finished another song, but that's it. This was great, they sounded fantastic.
Its hard song to sing. Its probably why Zepp never played it live, it was just too high for Robert to hit the notes by 75. Even here in the 90s when he got a lot of his range back hes really struggling.
I'm sure Bonzo would have approved of Michael Lee. I know his kit and style is slightly different but he does Bonham's parts and groves of Custard Pie(had they ever chose to play it live before he died and the ultimate end of the band) justice.
Plants vocals are ok Page is steady Michael Lee is steady Plants harmonica is great Page and plant touring together was absolutely fun I saw them afew times
Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time, but every time I see Page/Plant all it does is make me long for 1969-1975 Zeppelin (plus Presence). I feel the same way when I see Clapton. Makes me wish I saw him with Cream. Age and rock and roll just don’t mix, I’m afraid.

Half a Zeppelin but Full Throttle Flight-They are Killing it- Plant sounds in fine form but Jimmy abuse's that Wah- Got to see them N they really brought in 95'. Michael Lee may not be Bonzo but Damn what a hellva Drummer (RIP). Drop Down/Drop Down- I don't need the whole thing but just a Slice- One of the best Zeppelin Tunes...

Robert always nailed the harmonica part so well, an Page's solo was fantastic.
