He's been an alcoholic my whole life, and has tried to explain it. My parents split at 6.5yrs old & mom remarried at 7.5.... I've struggled through the stranger. Tears use to fill my ears every night in my high school days. I always wondered what i had to do to keep him from causing so much pain 😪. Finally, I became a mother & decided i didnt like how he was, who i was around him, & didnt want my son to grow up with that pain in his life 💔. But yet, in the back of my mind i'm the guilty one....

I like Jennifer. But it seems to me she's often singing about affairs or busting up marriages. I was raised in the south and spent a LOT of time in C&W type bars. I've seen a lot of women come and go-had my share of "affairs" and so did the 4-5 guys I ran with. Jennifer, tall, lean and blonde is exactly the type I went for and have seen cause a lot of drama, fist fights, separations, divorces, etc. But just as soon as she gets what she wants, there's not enough drama in her life and she moves on to the next one.

When you realize in the video she was NEVER talking about a MAN! It was about how the "Music Industry" made her numb and wanted her to be someone she wasn't, to the point she had wrote 2 suicide notes one in LOVE and one in ANGER so she attempted suicide, but GOD'S LOVE saved her and she's glad she didn't! But now she has to figure out how to heal! It's a beautiful, raw and emotional song! 😭🖤🙌

I use to hate country but sugarland really opened the door for me. LOVE this song. Can't wait till they come to St. Louis. sidenote: singer is really freakin beautiful and has a voice to match her beauty.

this song touches me because when she say she "struggled through a stranger, till he loved her, but it made her love (the person she's missing) even more" is so true for me. The person i love even more-isn't even mine really to love-which is why Sugarland's Stay has a lot of meaning for me too. I'm trapped and to the point i can't laugh or cry-but need to find a way to "keep from doing this to me" :'(

this song feels likes its about me for the past 10 years, so depressed from what life throws at me that I had no time to love a man fully, to cry, to laugh. I'v tried for years to be someone else to just run but you can't and you spend all your efforts trying to love yourself to better your self and you do get used to the pain. Jennifer always seems to bring a part of you in her songs....you have been there and felt that pain or joy, somehow. And her powerful vocal range knows just when to purr like a kitten or take you to your knees in pain! Love this women's voice and persona....I never want her songs to come to an end!
