Wife of 19 yrs walked out on me and our 5 kids last July. We spent months homeless or in a shelter. After countless 60 hr work weeks I made us a home again. Now after all our struggle and after she's had her fun, she wants back in. It hurts, but after careful consideration I have advised her to stay.....stay gone, stay away. Sad but kind of happy at the same time. God, this song reminds so much of all the times I begged her to love me. In the end it was for the best. Great song
Well let me start off by saying as an African-American woman a lot of people don't think we like country music but we love country music this song is so touching to see her cry tears actually brought my knees and tears because as a woman I can relate to this on both ends of the coin haven't always been a proud of my actions put this song has made me stronger still listening to the song in 2024
Not all of us stereotype. I was at the grocery store yesterday and a carload of African American dudes were blasting Metallica out of their super sub/amp stereo in their car. I took my time loading my groceries because I was enjoying the heck out of it.

I was married for close to 30 years when my husband left me for a woman at work. It tore me up and almost broke me. The absolute darkest time of my life. Sometimes I was so broken I felt like I couldn’t breath. It’s been 3 years since that day and while I almost can’t stand to remember the feeling of the darkness, I am proud that I made it through a time where I almost gave up. Some people comment that maybe we will be friends in the future when the pain passes. I always reply, absolutely not. I have no desire to relive the absolute betrayal from a man who disposed of me like common trash. No thanks! I spent so many years feeling worthless and alone. I don’t need to live that way ever again.
The first guy, I begged. I cried. I still remember the pain. But no one should should have to beg. Eventually I learned. If I am not good enough, then don't stay. I finally know my worth. Be with me for me. If it is not good enough, why don't you leave? Life has been great since.
lher6425 Ive been thru that same shit. I cried and begged him the whole time he was packing. The irony is this year he comes back wanting to work it out. It felt so good to tell him to kiss my behind. Im using my HUSBANDS youtube. So glad I let him walk.
My mom used to listen to this song over and over. She’s been gone 5 years and listening to it makes me feel close to her. What a sad song. I miss my mom.
November 2023 and this song still cuts like a knife through my heart. The tears in her eyes. The cry in her voice. Even the expression on Kristian Bush’s face as he plays the guitar. He knows the hurt she’s been through. This song will remain timeless in my book!
This is what I call real country music... it touches your soul and heart. Wish we had more of it being created today instead of all of this shallow commercial junk...
You can feel her pain in this song... I'm up off my knees I'm so tired of being lonely You can't give me what I need When she begs you not to go There is one thing you should know I don't have to live this way Baby, why don't you stay..
She gets the so called best because she is his wife not his mistress! There isn’t anything powerful in another woman knowing he is married but still precedes. When will women start supporting women and leave the dirt bags alone!
I love my husband with all of mu heart and soul and I am so grateful that GOD GAVE ME YOU!!!!!!!! My baby forever and for all eternity ❤ Your beautiful wife- J. Wilkerson
I use to play this song over and over again when it came out. I was the wife, but felt like the other woman. My husband spent all his time and affection on other women. This song gave me the strength to say enough. And I left my husband. It was the hardest decision I ever made. He was the love of my life, my whole heart. My husband never thought I would ever leave him. He changed his life completely, and won me back. Our life our love our marriage was happy, unfortunately that was only for a short time. 5 years later he died in my arms at the age of 51. My heart forever broken He was and will always be my 1 true love. Even with all the pain he caused me. I truly loved him, and he did change 100 percent.
My husband and I have now been separated 6 years and divorced 3 yrs. He also was ( at least I thought) was the love of my life. And the 24 and a half years I never saw him doing no wrong and blamed it all on myself. But now i know things I didn't but my heart aches for him still. We were 15 years old and I was 38 when we separated. He's moved on to someone else the one I think was kinda in picture. But my heart feels like it will always be broken. I trust in God and I have to much love to give someone that deserves it as much as me. It's just in his timing and a broken 💔 will be healed. So happy you and your husband reconciled and so sorry for your loss.
To all you happily married people, thank God you are, because the worst feeling next to loosing a child is to loose the love of your life because she wanted the greener grass on the side of the fence. Then they realize it’s not and comes home like nothing happened. It will tear at your soul and slowly drain everything good about you until you are empty inside. The trauma to your head and heart is like what a soldier gets on the battle field, you will never be the same again. I pray to all the people in love please don’t ever cheat on your partner, leave them first it won’t hurt as bad as cheating. Amen from an empty soul
The "other" woman in his relationship also got her broken. But she was the wise one broke off the relationship. She sent him back to his bed with his wife, even tho she loved him.
I was in a diner when I was about 7 years old. And my friends grandfather said "a man ought to be ashamed of himself making a beautiful woman cry like that."
I love performing this song, even in noisy bars, it seems to stop people in their tracks, just one of those heart wrenchingly soulful songs that can not be ignored. ❤
If you listen carefully to the song, the first part she says "he always goes home", she's the MISTRESS, not the wife, listen carefully. I just heard it and felt so dumb...
I don't CARE if you like or don't like country music - if THIS song doesn't move you - I question if you have a heart. Her voice, the way she emotes - and if you're watching and see her eyes - you can't NOT feel something. After all these years, this song STILL chokes me up.
Especially if you were the wife with a cheating husband waiting at home for a man to come home never knowing whose lap he's been in on the way home from work. Song hits me the same way it did the first time I heard it. I'm lucky enough to have a man now that will never do that to me.
Oh that voice! One of the best ever in country music! Just superb. Would love to hear a new song from her---- even former president Obama made a favorable comment about her voice! 💕 🌹 rosita
jeez my mom listened to this song a lot when i was a kid because my dad and her got divorced because he cheated , i loved it a lot but i didnt understand why she liked it so much. Now im a 21 year old man now about to cry everytime i hear this song play because i know now she was broken deeply. this song will forever be a healing experience for me 16 years later shes happy remarried living a life i thank god shes living today because the sacrifice she went through working almost 3 jobs to support me and my sister. i can never thank her enough for what she did
The same here my husband cheated on me and it broke my heart it was like I got stabbed a million times I don't know why he did it I gave him the world I treat him the best gave him everything he wanted and I have four kids I raised by myself two jobs taking care of the kids when I will come home we'll get three or four hours of sleep head back to the other job while he was messing around and doing his drugs I didn't know what was going on but I stand hard for my own two feet and hell my head up high for my kids I had to make it every time I hear this song it hurts like I'm getting stabbed all over again by him I don't ever forget him but it's a sin not to forgive somebody so I got forgiven I don't talk to him I don't have nothing to do with him I try to stay away from him because it just brings memories of him abusing me man to leave physically and then while he was doing what he wanted to do without me knowing and it hurts every time somebody will call he will leave and tell me what's going to the corner store you wouldn't come back to the next day so I feel you how you feel for your mother I hope you feel me because my heart is trying thousands of pieces like a jigsaw puzzle I don't know where to begin I'm still by myself making it in this world my kids are growing up I'm glad that I made it I had my head up high to keep going even though I will cry in the nights and the restroom when I was taking a shower I will cry why why did I do wrong I don't know but I gave him the best I gave him the world I will do everything for you and you turn around and stab me billions of times broke my heart into a puzzle well I don't know where to put it back together again so I feel for your mother Gloria Flores
This song is what I'm dealing with the same thing but I'm the girlfriend who is being cheated on and I let him come back to wake up to him being gone again back to her the pain is the worst I ever felt
Christians eyes couldn't reckon the pain from toners eyes because she is not Andrea.christian is just a product of one of echos cameras in my house watching us get it on at the stove. He's just a fixed image. Of there sickness.
Ms. Taylor thank you for holding my hand through that last procedure in Midland memorial hospital. If it wasn't for you I'd probably be dead. I'll always remember those beautiful green eyes as I woke up in that hospital bed. Luv you "Dr. Taylor" 2:38
Anyone who's ever been in this situation feels this song on a different level. Shame on the man or woman who awakens a love with no true intentions of nourishing it.
I’m currently going through this now. It’s heartbreaking for me honestly. Her ex always harassed her causing issues with us and she’d leave. I’ve been broken for a while
I agree and it's a powerful song and another powerful song is Sara Evans A Little Bit Stronger cuz you can't let one bad experience or 20 bad experiences break you you have to get stronger otherwise you lose out
I was the wife....but i get it. when this song came out i was pregnant with our 3rd and yes i knew he had mistress. 10 years of marriage 4 children .... thrown out for her........................... hope it was worth all of this. going to listen to Kesha praying now. my new go to
I don't know the reasoning behind it but I've read that she was in the middle of a divorce when they filmed the video, so it could've been exactly how the song is, or not.
I disagree! If I have one critique of Jennifer it's that she's just too darn "happy" for my tastes. She seems like one of those naturally happy and upbeat people that comes from a good family. She certainly has the looks. Then you add that voice and what has she ever had to be down about? Through no fault of her own, Jennifer probably lacks enough experience in the more painful aspects of life. As far as this song is concerned, I doubt any guy had been stupid enough to pick another woman over Jennifer. I don't care if the other woman was a Victoria secret model, Jennifer is one in 10, 000,000. Nah, if she was drawing on past painful experiences for this song, she was more likely remembering a favorite dog that passed away.
Sandy, she was going through a divorce at the time so it was emotional to her. That's why it's a great song, the emotion she was feeling came in the song.
@@rhondaboncutter5812 the passion we once felt for each other turned to complacency , that's when I found more love in a bottle . Been chasing ghosts from then on .
@@mikelcage6438 yeah man alcohol feels like the ultimate friend to kill solitary in these times but it also do one thing that is slowly destroying from inside(the organs)
I think what this song has done for many men is show us the pain and suffering we bring on loving women for out shear selfishness. When a man is in this spot he generally isnt thinking so much about the pain he is causing (both women) by stringing them both along. Those of us that have done this sort of thing after listen to this song will hopefully feel true remorse for what they have done, and for those that have not done this it might make them think twice. If your in a bad relationship, just pack up and go, don't hold keys to two doors it only make thing worse and you will lily lose both and to be honest, that is what you deserve if you put good women in this position.
Scott LaValley dam good advice Scott ! most of us ( men ) wouldn't want to admit that though. and that's a shame. be thankful for 1 good woman ! they are hard to come by
I was recently strung along to discover he was seeing a woman who had a history of cheating on him. He's marrying her now and when I confronted him about how he hurt me, he gave me the silent treatment. It's good to know that there are men out there who regret doing this to women (and I apologize about the women who do it to men too) and realize how much it hurts. I doubt he's one of them but your comment struck a chord with me in a good way.
Unfortunately the emotion of this song is not just a woman / man thing. As a husband that lost my wife, the only love of my life, to another man I am intimate with the pain caused by someone that played two men against each other, killing two families (2 partners and 8 kids) in the process. The agony of trying to fix something with someone that only wants to keep lying and using you is a genuinely soul destroying endevour. I try to see through this songs plea by the third person and understand the simple pain of someone in love with someone who has made a decision not to make a decision but instead to simply go on hurting two people because they want it all.
Imma tru southern black guy, who love hip hop and nothing less, but this song..... This song, is real as they come. I truly love it, and it's sad that 9-4-2020, is my first time hearing it... 💯💯💯💯👏👏👏👏
I told you so call me I'm trying to play my music I'm okay you're the one and Iron Man to leave me alone so I can listen to my music so we can make it love thank you
There is a lot of great country music out . hmmmm, listen to jelly roll. I can relate 100 on most of his songs. And second chance. I spelled it wrong because he spells it different but he is a black mam singing country and some rap . Just listen . there good . im a white female that loves hip hop and country and 80s and southern rock. I don't like the new rap or hip hop but 40 years old and the old rap in the late 90s and early 2000's and mid 2000s. I love it .
I love it too I loved her songs since I was a little girl but I’m glad you heard it because it truly is a amazing song and and really is true as they come.🖤🖤
It's so sad that her can do it so good there so good they can do it all right on yall I lost my mom 2 years ago I hurt so much sugar land... from cody Barrera y'all
You can see that her green eyes are cloudy Grey. You guys out there, watch your girlfriend's eye color! If it gets brilliant,... prepare to loose your virtue. If it's leaning toward Grey, get ready to loose your girl.

"It's too much pain to have to bare to love a man you have to share." I have to listen to this everyday... I know I walked away and it'll get better but it can't hurt worse than being treated wrong.
This song reminds me of the time back in 2018 when i got cheated on and she walked away from me with my cousin and now i am kinda glad that happened because now i know how to show someone i really love them and that i should't get so much attached to someone like i was with her cause i think that's what cause us to break up in the end
It wasn't based on her own experience. The song was inspired by Reba McEntire’s “Whoever’s in New England,” which was written from the perspective of a wife whose husband is cheating on her. Nettles knew countless songs written from that viewpoint but none from the other two people involved. She says most people don’t realize that even the person who is doing the cheating gets hurt as well.
Beth Rightmeyer.. Finally someone else that know's she never lived this experience. If half these Idiot's done a quick Google search they'd know this..
every time she sings this I feel itl deep in my soul. She sang it with her whole heart. Almost as if she's really experienced it. Regardless of the topic she sings it beautifully. Soulful music!!
Such an emotionally raw song. 🔥🔥🔥To me the “she” in this song is drugs. If you’ve ever been in a relationship with an addict, listen again. She’s BEGGING him to surrender, to stop the pain, the excruciating hurt and give his whole self to her.😭😭😭
Acording to what I read, this was the first Sugarland song written entirely by Nettles, and she did not think it was all that good, but the other member of Sugarland, Kristian Bush, finally convinced her to let him read the lyrics, and he was blown away. He also stated he feels like a big brother to her...he is a married man. He described how through multiple attempts Nettles kept breaking down crying. It was making him very angry, and he said it was like watching a close friend being tortured, and by Noon he was exhausted emotionally, and just said they would have to peice together the clips, he could not bear to watch this anymore. Even though the end result required dubbing over the parts she was breaking down in, that is what makes this video so powerful. It is almost like she layed bare every emotionally painful thing that had ever happened to her in this video. You can't possibly fake that, or even reproduce it. Sugarland has done this song countless times since, live. In my opinion, none of the subsequent performances carry the raw emotion of this video. I can also easily see why Kristian Bush found it so hard to watch it, but it made for a truly remarkable video that is hard to ever match...the viewers could truly feel the pain. It was real, it was raw, and it was amazing.
Wow I absolutely luv your explanation of this video. It truly portrays the depth of this pain. This is something I relate to personally from both sides. I'm definitely so grateful I've grown.
Thank you Sarge1231 for sharing these details. Though filmed years ago and I'm watching for the first time I feel her pain throughout the video and was wondering am I again being a softy for exceptional acting or is this pain real because every fiber in my being is screaming out for this woman. No one should experience the kind of pain reflected in this song.
I am blown away every time I watch the video. The hard, raw emotion she shows in the video is so powerful. I watched so many attempt to cover this song and they start the video laughing or smiling, and I can't watch.
You know you’ve healed when this song no longer breaks you. ♥️ Such a beautiful song, I will never forget the tears I cried while listening to this song over on replay.
2024!!!Just needed to hear this!!!Looking in my husband’s casket and learned he was living a double life and she was pregnant!!!😢❤I’m still standing!!!❤
+Mikaya Moorleghen He's not cheating ON her, he's cheating WITH her. She wants him to stay and not go home to his wifey. She's singing from the perspective of "The Other Woman."
+Daisy Elliott-Biddle that's what she meant Daisy. If a man cheats on his wife with you. He will cheat on you. It's a vicious circle of karma kicking you in the ass.
+Mikaya Moorleghen and when he cheats there will come a day when he realizes that he was so wrong and will never Love again as I did you your right mikaya but there are nights when I wish I had died young and not live for this moment
This literally breaks my heart every time I watch it! Seeing the beautiful and talented Jennifer Nettles get so emotional touches me greatly! This is a fantastic song! And I didn't even know it was sung from the perspective it is when I first heard it several years ago! I still love this song and I love Sugarland! I hope they come out with some new material together soon!
she does get very emotional. . she can probably truly relate to the song probably touches most people we have all vee. in those shoes once.. once shame on you twice shame on me
+robert hastings She wrote this song when she found out that her husband was cheating, and when she gets emotional its because this song is a true reflection of her own situation. :) but yes a great song, and im pretty sure we all can relate to it in one way or another!
I've never heard this beautiful song before. It has so much emotional too it. It reaches into my heart. It brings tears too eyes. God bless this lady 🙏 ❤
A song that became an anthem. A song that evoked so much emotion, so much heartache, so much "real". Jennifer and Christian nailed this one and it will forever stand out as one of the strongest breakup songs. Well done.
Apparently she cried through the entire filming. They had to basically hold Kristian down bc he wanted to comfort her so badly, but she wanted to continue filming
Lol I remember when this song first came out. She’s actually crying because this song is about her. She was the other woman and finally decided to stop seeing the man. It’s how she was in a low place and settling until she finally said enough is enough. That pain you see is REAL.!
After 15 years of marriage, I was that man. I ripped two families apart for selfishness. It doesn’t matter what is going on in a relationship, it’s never right to cheat. You never “owe to yourself” to cheat. My wife divorced me. I deserve every bit of hell I got from her for the hell I put her through. Through Gods forgiveness and a lot of work, my wife and I were remarried. That was 8 years ago. She has shown me grace and forgiveness that I don’t deserve. I will never take her for granted again.
This song is from the perspective of the other women, not the wife. Do you know, ever wonder or even care how the other woman in your relationship is doing today - 8 years later? Hopefully, like the lyrics she too, is up off her knees and no longer lonely, living a good and honest life ... the other woman deserves grace and forgiveness, too. Don't we all? 💔❤🩹❤💕
@@tzuro70 and my comment was from the man’s perspective. What’s your point. The woman in this song knew she was the side chick. Turns out the other woman cheated with another man after me. I guess some people are just that way.
@@tzuro70 that is exactly why I asked for your point to your comment. I don’t wish her any ill will, but couldn’t care less to know how she is, or what she’s up to. And yes, really, side “chick” is a very common term used to describe a woman engaging in affairs with someone else’s partner. If you’re implying that is a derogatory term, it is. And a fitting one for a person willfully cheating.
I've got two rules about relationships I don't cheat and I don't quit. Starting forty years with my wife today. Update; We hit 43 years I broke my back and had a stroke, so I got put in a Vet's home and she filed for divorce.
I’ve listened to this song 100’s of times over the last 10 years. As she’s singing her eyes are telling a story. It’s as if you can see into her soul and it always brings tears to my eyes.
It's an understatement to say devastation is what one feels when a marriage ends due to infidelity. I was more than shocked since it was a close friend. I'll keep all who have experienced what I have in a general prayer.

“ I’ve given you my best, why does she get the best of you?” One of the greatest lyrics I’ve ever heard like I can relate to that one line sooo soo much
This song will always be a heartbreaker, the raw emotion is something we just don’t see any more. My heart goes to everyone tired of being a plan b, we’re stronger than we know
I've lost my wive, never saw her crying, not for me, until she was gone. Jumped over to another man who then couldn't take care of her. Guess i was in love with an illusion but it still hurts everyday. Three beautiful boys, almost 30 years together and almost 20 years married. Now all women i meet reminds me of that Eric Paslay song "She don't love you". Kiss your wive will you and tell her that you love her. You're a lucky man.
David Lewis, maybe because your a true man.. something we don't really have anymore.. I so don't mean all men except what alot of men are not real men..many blessings to you 💋
The very same person who introduced me to this song later became the 1 cheating. This song hit me to the core when I found out my hubby was cheating on me after 13yrs of marriage! Today I'm happily divorced for 27 yrs and still love this song!❤❤❤❤❤
Holy crap!! Between the song and this post I want to confession and hug my dad. I hope you find the strength to show your kids how a real parent/father can endure. I’m rooting for you sir!
One of if not THE most heartfelt performances of any song videos I have ever seen. That was absolutely awesome. A beautiful lady with an incredible voice.
This perfectly illustrates how hard it is to leave someone who you care for but you know that it's bad for you. Just because it hurts and it upsets you doesn't mean you're weak minded or desperate.
my god i can relate soooooo much to what you say!!! i do miss her, but shes no good for me and all that happens is pain and suffering.....I HATE SEEING WOMEN CRY!!!!! it really does break my heart into a million pieces!!!

Mar 2024 checking in. This song randomly popped in my head the other day. Been meaning to listen to it. Love this song and she put her heart into it.
Hello Ann how are you doing today
God bless you I'm going through 20 years for him to cheat every chance he can it's about killed me but I will survive thank you 🙏
Terminally single here because 30 years & 5 husbands proved this song would never not be my daily life.
Hope you are well.
I'm the same way.
Sweet Ann I hope you’re well my friend ❤
The first guy, I begged. I cried. I still remember the pain. But no one should should have to beg. Eventually I learned. If I am not good enough, then don't stay. I finally know my worth. Be with me for me. If it is not good enough, why don't you leave? Life has been great since.
her husband went out on her.. that's why she gets so emotional
lher6425 Ive been thru that same shit. I cried and begged him the whole time he was packing. The irony is this year he comes back wanting to work it out. It felt so good to tell him to kiss my behind. Im using my HUSBANDS youtube. So glad I let him walk.

November 2023 and this song still cuts like a knife through my heart. The tears in her eyes. The cry in her voice. Even the expression on Kristian Bush’s face as he plays the guitar. He knows the hurt she’s been through. This song will remain timeless in my book!

I say that every night as I cry myself to sleep....
“I’ve given you my best, why does she get the best of you?” Is so powerful.
She gets the so called best because she is his wife not his mistress! There isn’t anything powerful in another woman knowing he is married but still precedes. When will women start supporting women and leave the dirt bags alone!
Amen!!
Here, here!
Best song lyric ever!!!
I love my husband with all of mu heart and soul and I am so grateful that GOD GAVE ME YOU!!!!!!!! My baby forever and for all eternity ❤ Your beautiful wife- J. Wilkerson
She is so beautiful and I am still listening too. I'm 61 yrs old, and I will never stop listening. 2024.
14 years later and i’m just now realizing SHE IS THE MISTRESS!!!!!!
You give me hope
You’re an angel 👼 God bless you.
I’m truly sorry but I’m glad you two reconciled for a little while…bless you stay strong sweetheart ♥️
This here! Felt this
To all you happily married people, thank God you are, because the worst feeling next to loosing a child is to loose the love of your life because she wanted the greener grass on the side of the fence. Amen from an empty soul
dear empty soul … fill it up with garden and dogs and fishing… works for me ..
The "other" woman in his relationship also got her broken. But she was the wise one broke off the relationship. She sent him back to his bed with his wife, even tho she loved him.
Telling me i "shudve done it sooner" ' im lucky'
I was in a diner when I was about 7 years old. And my friends grandfather said "a man ought to be ashamed of himself making a beautiful woman cry like that."

I don't CARE if you like or don't like country music - if THIS song doesn't move you - I question if you have a heart. Her voice, the way she emotes - and if you're watching and see her eyes - you can't NOT feel something. After all these years, this song STILL chokes me up.
This song is ass though
I’m heard country music but this touch my soul
Especially if you were the wife with a cheating husband waiting at home for a man to come home never knowing whose lap he's been in on the way home from work. Song hits me the same way it did the first time I heard it. I'm lucky enough to have a man now that will never do that to me.
Oh that voice! One of the best ever in country music! Just superb. Would love to hear a new song from her---- even former president Obama made a favorable comment about her voice! 💕 🌹 rosita

He actually had them stop having her sing it after a few times of recording it
He wanted to stop recording Jennifer wanted to continue to film. I know this is a fact. My twin daughters' mom is married to Jennifer's brother

Will Headington any body that messes around on this lady is stupid and don’t deserve her
I don't know the reasoning behind it but I've read that she was in the middle of a divorce when they filmed the video, so it could've been exactly how the song is, or not.
Exactly
The raw emotion in her voice and on her face adds SO much to this song. Absolutely love this song!
Hello Sandy how are you doing today
Sandy, she was going through a divorce at the time so it was emotional to her. That's why it's a great song, the emotion she was feeling came in the song.
The background story with her is so sad
You was beautiful just the way you were
I had no idea she was going through that but the raw emotion she gave to that song was enough to see something wasn't right in her life@@jamescook6564

Scott LaValley dam good advice Scott ! most of us ( men ) wouldn't want to admit that though. and that's a shame. be thankful for 1 good woman ! they are hard to come by
Amen Brother Tim! lol
You have to say she was brave to release a song as the other woman, especially in country music.
That's what I was saying lol, alot people in here are relating to this song lol, idk if they realize what woman she is portraying.

This lady has a very beautiful voice.. She sings this song with so much passion. I love this song.
Scott Weighill It's because her husband cheated and left her during this time. So it was very real to her.

The song is about a side chick wanting him to leave his wife.
Such an emotionally raw song. 🔥🔥🔥To me the “she” in this song is drugs. If you’ve ever been in a relationship with an addict, listen again. She’s BEGGING him to surrender, to stop the pain, the excruciating hurt and give his whole self to her.😭😭😭
Going through this for 5 years now.
Beautifully said Sarge1231

Thank you Sarge1231 for sharing these details. Though filmed years ago and I'm watching for the first time I feel her pain throughout the video and was wondering am I again being a softy for exceptional acting or is this pain real because every fiber in my being is screaming out for this woman. A song that became an anthem. A song that evoked so much emotion, so much heartache, so much "real". Jennifer and Christian nailed this one and it will forever stand out as one of the strongest breakup songs. Well done.

I'm a victim of this thanks to my husband..hurts..😢
This song is from the perspective of the other women, not the wife. Do you know, ever wonder or even care how the other woman in your relationship is doing today - 8 years later? @@torijones3172 I thought he was saying, "we're going to go for just 40 years. Not forever. " lol
@@giraffewithtattoos2770 Oh ok lol. Sorry.
I’ve listened to this song 100’s of times over the last 10 years. As she’s singing her eyes are telling a story. It’s as if you can see into her soul and it always brings tears to my eyes.
Please do not forget this stuff goes both ways and do not think a man's eyes cannot do the exact same thing to the soul😢
Agree, same with Vikki Carr song,With Pen in hand.
Awesome.. no more words when you have lived it
Me, too
YES!! THAT PART!🤞💖
How about 2024?. This song is still awesome ❤️

One of the best singer to ever sing she has a way of making you feel all the emotions in the music
The passion in this video will forever be remembered. She literally poured her heart into this song.
you don't know how to use the word literally.
@@brianbytheocean and so the fuck what. Dont be RUDE. you never know what someone is going through.

He used the word just fine stop it!
It's an understatement to say devastation is what one feels when a marriage ends due to infidelity. I was more than shocked since it was a close friend. I'll keep all who have experienced what I have in a general prayer.
Breaks my heart to see her sing this song and the emotion behind it. Yes...its ok for men to cry.
I am right now
Yup
Yes it is ok

I cry every damn time I hear this song, her emotion and beautiful voice is heart shattering.
#JenniferNettles #KristianBush aka #Sugarland. One of the finest bands in country music. Their harmonies are tight. Enjoy their music so much 🙋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎻🎹🥁🪘🎸💖❤️💜💛💙🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🌹🌻🌼
I wish Sugarland wouldve stayed...I miss them.
If you have never felt the feelings she is singing about you are lucky, you have won in life.
Right. It's the worst feeling ever

The worst
ain't about feeling it. its about understanding it.
“ I’ve given you my best, why does she get the best of you?” One of the greatest lyrics I’ve ever heard like I can relate to that one line sooo soo much
Fellas… treat your ladies like they mean the world to you. They won’t put up with the bs forever
This song will always be a heartbreaker, the raw emotion is something we just don’t see any more. My heart goes to everyone tired of being a plan b, we’re stronger than we know
I couldn't put a woman through this, I can't stand it when the tears start. I have been married 53 years.
@@justadutchman5169 smart man 💋
David Lewis, maybe because your a true man.. something we don't really have anymore..

She did this in one take I believe so it was an authentic reaction. So raw and heartfelt.
Couldn't have said it better myself.........
Vikki Carr, With Pen in hand song.
9 years later this song still makes me cry. And 9 years later Jenn still makes my heart skip a beat...
@Doc Holladay True, but this video was published on November 21, 2009.

You are ONE lucky guy.
This was my mamaw's favorite song and she listened to it nonstop but she died.😢😭

Don’t think I’ve ever seen another artist put so much passion into a song she ends up crying 👍
Speaking from the soul
@@codykelly6066she is genuine
This is one of the most truthful heartbreaking
Songs of all times, except now days it needs to be sang by a man
This perfectly illustrates how hard it is to leave someone who you care for but you know that it's bad for you. Just because it hurts and it upsets you doesn't mean you're weak minded or desperate.
very true well said
my god i can relate soooooo much to what you say!!! i do miss her, but shes no good for me and all that happens is pain and suffering.....I HATE SEEING WOMEN CRY!!!!! it really does break my heart into a million pieces!!!
I wish I left earlier... I'm so much happier now
