Do you think HP 8470p service door is identical to the one in HP 6470b? I cannot see any difference except that 6470b has a plastic one, while 8470p's is metal. I'd better prefer to have a metal one in my hp 6470b.

Hi bro what is located the primary internal battery. I have error code 601 (internal primary battery needs to be replaced)
it is the yellow battery on the video, a round quarter inch battery.
I've got the same model, mine has an issue where it seems there's leaking current in the laptop
Unplugged, the mouse and keyboard stutter excessively. Plugged, they stutter a bit less, but still a lot and in sync. Furthermore, the battery doesn't charge (I've already changed both the AC Adapter and Battery, HP PC Hardware Diagnostics says the problem is the battery but I literally just bought it so I doubt that)
Is there anything I can do about this?

tried different supply power, without battery and also tested with only 1 slot of memory and added thermal paste to CPU... but still the same. Thank you
check the white ribbon cables, sometimes you will see burn marks on them especially near the power button, replace the cables if you find the burn marks.

Mine does not hold charge with it 'off' and the battery connected. It seems to drain slowly when off over a couple of weeks. : /
If you remove the battery does it power up just from the power supply?

Question: the serial number of my motherboard is 686041-601, but I can't seem to find any replacements with that number. I can only find 686041-001. Do you know if that's a compatible replacement?
