I love this exotic fusion rifle. It's a bummer you have to pre-order #destiny2 The Final Shape to get Tessellation right now, because I think it's the best exotic fusion rifle we've ever got. It's powerful, flexible, and has a ton of synergy with subclass verbs and exotic armor pieces.

I’m so pumped to have a NORMAL fusion exotic, but I’m so bummed it’s behind a paywall! (must get Annual Pass COMBO!) Also, I should have mentioned that fusion kills also regen grenade energy! Didn’t talk about that much.
This exotic is gonna be perfect for strand hunters with the grenade Regen.

I wouldn’t mind as much if they gave it with the base final shape - but no it’s only on final shape plus annual pass.
Dead Messenger and Hardlight just got another sibling apparently to the Ultimate Utility weapon Family, only sad point is that we STILL Lack a Primary slot & Heavy slot weapon that has this mechanic so we can free up those slots. Honestly I Feel like the Hardlight should be given the option to be equipped as a Primary weapon but instead of having use of Solar,Arc, & Void it would have use of Strand,Stasis and the third Dark power and to utilize the other u just switch it back it would add to it's utility.
Hey, this is for the people like me who still don't care pre-ordering a game I still enjoy. If you're on the bandwagon of don't preorder anything, that's totally fine. But you'll have to wait.
The new Moth Gauntlets on Hunter let's you have 3 grenades when running on Strand with the double grenade aspect... Just a thought.
That is fantastic. Good callout. Had been so focused on feeling this fusion out I haven’t dove into the new armor!
@@Legoleflash I feel that the New Moth Gauntlets could be an issue in PvP. Not the damage, but the very easy access to a Void Overshield is annoying. Was using it in Comp, Void for the Fragments for the Overshield, and Strand for the 3 grenades. Before a fight, toss one at your feet and get a full Overshield. Get damaged? Go to cover and toss another one at your feet and go for another engagement. It let's you be aggressive with long range peek shots on Sniper or Scout. Or sometimes, be aggressive in your pushes.
Get a kill on a push, go to cover, toss grenade for Overshield, engage with the next person pushing you.
I think it is a bigger problem that people don't realize yet.

I’m sure a lot of hunter mains are happy to get their revenge on titans
P.S. If they let hunters have 3 nades by stacking strand and moth exotic then they should let arc titan have 3 nades if they stack armamentarium and touch of thunder lightning nades. It’s the only one that doesn’t let u stack the amount. Even claws of ahamkara let’s warlocks get 4 melees on strand.

The catalyst is probably going to be elemental capacitor + the Charged shot proc Jolt/Volatile/scorch/Slow/Sever

That'd be beautiful. It's already damn good and that would bump it up a bit more. Might not make it peak meta but it would for sure give it a solid spot in a decent amount of builds.

Word of advice:
Use it with Stasis Osmiomancy Warlocks. Having TWO grenade charges, one for the fusion charge and one to throw is amazing. Especially even more so when you can get positive energy gains from hitting your target with a grenade and then freezing them. This primes your next Tesselation shot to easily hit the target with it's moderately slow projectile speed, which will then shatter the target, which then freezes the next target for you to repeat the loop.

animation where you turn the next round into a grenade is so sick probably one of the best animations in the game
It is SO cool.
I have been SMASHING with the threadlings build. Using grapple and having my slugs constantly generate Wanderer tangles, while being able to turn my escape maneuver into a bomb feels really great. Allows me to be aggressive and still keep my space. Very fun fusion, and the color it shimmers when you eat a grenade is dependent on the element!
I’d bet the caty comes with The Final Shape, given the article on the website.

It also has a different charge sound for each element
An underrated part is the grenade energy on every kill! Thats basically demolitionist without the reload and it means that this thing just elevates grenade builds even if you don't use the rocket.

This would be the perfect exotic to use with Verity’s Brow. You’d have serious uptime on the alt fire and/or the extra strong grenade
Note, if you spend $200 more and order the Collector's Edition, you do not get it instantly. You go to the back of the line and have to wait days for the code. A perfect example of Bungie's first class service.

Catalyst idea: Have the alt fire take on the properties of the grenade it absorbs. Example: Lightning grenade alt fire would stick to the opponent and and do recurring pulsing arc damage, fusion grenade would stick to the target and create an additional explosion, strong grenades could suspend or unravel targets, etc.
I love that idea. If they could pull it off it'd be insane!

Been loving this weapon with the whirling mailstorm double grapple hunter builds thats flowing around, rocking a auto if there's a barrier, if not i like synchronic roulette, this fusion, and the circular logic is so much fun

As soon as I used this thing for just a bit I was wildly impressed! I think it really is one of the best exotics in terms of design and usage, its awful that it is locked behind a paywall for 2 seasons but aside from that I can only see the catalyst making this thing that much more fun with proper interactions

It sounded extremely PVE to me when they gave the brief overview of it. I am excited to try it though. The exotic fusion I am waiting for is actually just Plan C coming back with the backup plan perk functioning the same way it did in D1 with best in class range.
Definitely thought it was only PvE at first, but after using it in PvP it SLAYS and is super versatile.
@@Legoleflash Yes, to be honest in general it feels like they have been too scared to release a solid pvp fusion since Bastion (my favorite D2 weap before they changed it to a PVE gun)...so I always am pretty cautious when I see one.
That ionic trace one with the horizontal spread is a prime example. With that spread it has no shot at being any good in PVP.

It's neat that you can run triple weapons of the same element. Use double special with scavenger and reserve mods and you'll have tons of ammo

It’d be cool to have the fusion rocket transform into a tangle while maintaining its damage. Since it’s slow moving, shoot it out, and shoot it with another weapon to detonate.
I made a renwel grasp build with a wellspring demo something new, this fusion and and typhon gl5. It's insane how many grenades I get
I’m a huge mantle user so I’ve got me eye on this for various builds and it could very well replace my go to mantle exotic of Travelers chosen.

Powered melee kills fragment for strand gives the explosion on this weapon unraveling rounds.
Edit: It also cancels out sun bracers if it is active. So store the nade, get a melee kill and then spam nades. I don't think you mentioned it also has intrinsic grenadier in the exotic perk too.
Seems good to combo with fast charging nades or healing nades. Makes that charge potentially heal or damage.

This exotic might be really nice when paired with a Bait and Switch heavy. I'm just thinking that 4 or 5 people having these in a fireteam when BnS rocket swapping - that's not an insignificant amount of damage.
Totally! I wasn't thinking of it in a rotation, BUT if you preload the shot that is pretty legit. Plus you can just keep firing like normal afterwards, no reloading.
this is really good for my Hunter Solar Sword build I run double special for DPS/champ stun and add clear with fully crafted Caretaker/incandescent this fusion will give an extra bump to boss dps since i rarely use my healing nade cause i refresh restoration with sword kills (i also run gunpowder as well)
strand hunters can abuse the exotic perk if they set a grapple point and get their grapple before they reload the grenade

I paired the Tessellation with my Lodbrock-C that rolled with Demolitionist and Wellspring. As long as there were enough enemies and I hit my shots I could keep feeding Tessellation grenades, as long as I had ammo.

What would be the coolest catalyst for the weapon would be to have a subclass verb for the alt fire shot and then have either reservoir burst or chain reaction with it
this thing is literally the remnant 2 star shot with its charged shot mode and its bloody beautiful

Only thing thats got me interested is the triple strand setup. I like that gun but hate that bungie has to hide a potentially bad expansion behind a pre order bonus.

@@Legoleflash instead you can go and review strand aspects (which are sick btw). I'm going to abuse the hell out of titan before it gets nerfed. Infinite suspend is such a joke compared to those melee power and infinite heal field.

Hey Lego (or anyone who might have an answer), a bit random but what would you recommend for an Epicurean main now? I had been using Fluted/Stability Mag with Quickdraw/Rangefinder, a range MW and Counterbalance. Was curious if there's anything better for the 4th column specifically after the range rework.

I personally would have preferred if it went in the kinetic/darkness slot as opposed to the energy slot, as most of my favorite primaries are energy
I know that feeling too. I have a ton of great energy fusions, BUT the triple element trade off seems worth it for now.
I love the fusion but I'm also dissapointed. I've been waiting for a grenade based exotic weapon for sooo long as I play warlock. But the main purpose of the weapon is to not use you're grenade, which is a warlock's strongest and most built into part of it's kit.
I think it can work both ways because there is an intrinsic grenade regen on every normal kill! So you have both options. I forgot to cover that part in the vid.
Bungie still knows how to make super cool exotics. I was always curious if they could keep it up over 10 years.

@@LegoleflashOr refund the grenade when you get a kill with the alt fire mode. So it could act like an ad clear grenade launcher when you want it to, but also be good for a bit of extra damage in a damage phase. Wouldn't be OP for PvP either, as you have to be dead on, which is hard to do since they don't track and move so slow. So, you get rewarded for getting kills, but at the same time it's not a free kill everytime like you get with jotunn.
Kinda reminds me of Susanoo Fusion Rifle from D1.

Honestly I don’t see this replacing my crafted fusion. Enhanced Demo gives you more energy plus I have a bipod rocket launcher with impact casing and reconstruction so I’m not missing out on damage and I can keep my grenade uptime at max. It’s very unique I’ll give it that

I don't know how to exactly say this but I don't know if it will beat the lead from gold vorpal Cartesian banshee was selling. With the ammo nerf happening, that perk might actually be useful. I'm not saying the new exotic is bad in any way, it's just by unfortunate technicality. I've gotten way too used to the double special glitch.

Honestly, I'd like the catalyst to add stack-able charges to the fusion.
In PVE you can sometimes constantly get grenade charges by killing about 3 or 4 enemies.
I used strand aspect that gives grenade on damage.
It'd be hilarious if they did something with the catalyst where, like Conditional Finality, it shoots like a special second shot with the opposing element , solar and stasis being one, or... strand and void? strand and arc? And then from that the odd man out and the forthcoming red subclass.
Strand and Void, Void being the absence of anything and Strand being connected to everything.
Arc is actually why people expect the next subclass to be red.
The invert colour of Solar is Stasis blue, the invert colour of Void is Strand green, and the invert colour of Arc is a deep red.

The one thing that puts it above for me is it's speed. It's faster and explodes immediately. Feels fantastic.

Man, I won't be buying Final Shape for a while so kinda bummed out to not be able to use this gun yet, but the time will come eventually.

I love it, it works really well the way I use it with sunbracers, (load nade, activate sunbracers, toss 4 grenades out, launch the grenade, repeat)
it doesnt seem like it procs sunbracers by loading the grenade, but either way its fun
and buying the annual pass combo to get it isnt the only reason to get the combo, you dont need to pay for the seasons when they come around, it gives you the dungeon key, a bunch of other little rewards, and the dlc. all together, with a dungeon key being around 40 bucks, 4 seasons being like 50 bucks (cause of tax), and the base dlc being 70, it adds up to almost 200 if you buy it separate
i would say the technical discount is worth it if you get all the shit on top of it.
Actually its not gonna be 4 seasons anymore, so I'm not sure how that's going to affect the cost savings benefit. Considering they still made the annual pass $100 i'm sure the base yearly cost is gonna still be high.
@@catinabeanbag_1347 oh well, either way the little bonuses are nice to have, and honestly i think its still worth it by a little bit to get the annual pass rather than buy all of them separately, that way you get taxed on one thing, one time, and have access the second all of it comes out

I love this gun but theirs this pulse I got from a drop randomly running the rituals and it looks exactly like division zero and has a perk that on a kill drops this ammunition and in pvp a kill drops 3-5 I believe it stays on the floor and if anyone runs over it they instantly explode and die and idk why I feel like this is a start a quest for a new exotic pulse for some reason the guns perks are basically exotic like and never have I ever seen a pulse like this
Yeah that's the origin trait for those weapons! It doesn't do a ton of damage but it's pretty cool!
Hot take maybe- SO its P2W or just pre-order the expansion then you get ahead of time of a DLC thats pushed 6+ months ahead of time? I'm a veteran of the game and don't feel it or ready to pre-order this soon(knowing i might play final shape with bungie being S-lords, just opinion)

First exotic fusion? That spot belongs to vex mythoclast to me. I would say that even talesto is just as exotic as well. There is too many to list when it comes to fusion rifles I would use before I can say that this is the first real exotic fusion. Nice video though, at least it doesn’t seem like it would be a menace in PvP
