My Recommended Product List :) blowoutprofessor.tiny.us/yckfcfnx
What about products for curly/wavy hair since your product list doesn’t have any.
I am thinking REDKEN is a sponsor. As a Trichologist & Cosmetologist I know there are many other AFFORDABLE shampoos & conditioners that work wonders without an outrageous price tag.
@@joeyagirl Thanks for the response. Could you name a few for me?
@@cherylpilcher5858 I do t want to hijack his video. If you contact me I can help you
I left my Gmail and no response after way more than 60sec and I am scared that my email is spread out to all kinds of ads or scams
As a so called “4C” curly girl who’s been watching CZcams naturals for over a decade, this is the first channel where the advice has actually yielded good results for me, and my hair type isn’t even represented here. I almost wonder if that’s the benefit? Probably because his hair advice meets the universally vital needs. Not so distracted by textures.
That’s because most of our education on natural hair is based off of our individual experiences. Because he’s in a professional space, he’s working with far more textures than most of these CZcamsrs do. This isn’t to take away their education but that’s centered on THEIR own experience :)
Agreed.
Same ❤
UPDATE: For me PERSONALLY. It came out to be a toss up like anything else… but I’ll stay rocking with that olaplex #3. Ultimately it came to a conglomerate of what I’ve learned from all sources over the years. I mean essentially it is pretty similar to the loc method. Over all I’m just done with extensions, weaves, and elaborate braid styles. I know some type 4’s hate to hear it but your hair won’t grow down your butt till you just wear it normal.
Same here. Natural hair community tips ruined my hair. My hair is now recovering from following tips like these.
Great advice. Favorite is “your hair does NOT have a digestive system.” Gonna have to steal that line!!
😂
Your skin does absorb nutrients though, sometimes better than the digestive system sooo what’s up
@@everannaify nutrients, but not food.
Dermatologists say the same about skin. Natural is not always better and too much is never ideal.
I don't know about that. My hair looks and feels best when I use raw honey and black seed oil on it. And add nettle tea to my rinse.
As a black woman, let me just say I love your channel! At a point and time I use to think I shouldn’t watch your channel because you never showed my hair type. But then I saw this episode where you said coarse hair and I instantly got that thought out my head. Ever since I began watching your channel and less black women I have seen a different in my hair. I really appreciate you being honest and transparent in a world full of facades. I have been struggling with alopecia and telogen effluvium since 2018. I found your channel in the beginning of 2023 and I haven’t looked back since. What are your thoughts on Aussie leave in? There is a avocado and jojoba oil in it, I find Aussie works for me but I always buy it as a set…thank you for changing my journey.
Thank you for cutting through all the marketing bs and giving us very helpful advice! Much appreciated.
💯
Although we can note that he carries, uses and promotes only a few lines(Pureology, Redken, Moroccan Oil) that he also sells, therefore I think there might be some promotional dividends at play here. No mention of other equally effective brands.

I work at a wholesale beauty supply. I've been watching and sharing the knowledge with customers. It makes me happy when people come in and look for me so they can tell me how much they love the products that were suggested to them.
i wish more people did this not enough people know about scalp/product health
Whenever i go to my local beaty supply i feel like they have zero clue about whats good or not so thank you... i wish there were more suppliers like u
This is excellent advice. I create products and have developed toners for over 10 years. It is really difficult trying to get people to understand the double negative of purple shampoo. In fact, with every brand now bringing out a purple shampoo I don’t think blondes realise some purple shampoos can actually ruin the tonal blonde your colourist created. A lot of purple shampoos are very alkaline so the cuticle raises so the acid Violet 43 can deposit. However, if your colourist has used an oxidation colourant or toner, this alkaline purple shampoo will just pull out all that permanent blonde tone and cause the hair to get more and more yellow. Purple shampoo will be fine on raw bleached hair but on well oxidation toned hair it causes the hair to become brassier which then makes the individual use it more! Drop me a line if you’d like me to explain more. Best Scott
So then what do you recommend people use to refresh/keep up their toned blonde hair? I’m licensed so I’m able to purchase my normal toners (Redkin shadesEQ) and apply them but for someone who isn’t a licensed cosmetologist, would they have to go to their stylist for just a tone in between bleaching/lightening appointments?
Also: Is using only a clear gloss toner (Redkin shades EQ) to brighten/refresh the color a good idea?
I bleach and dye my hair by myself but English is not my first language. How do I know I‘m using an oxidation colourant?
I use a 1,9% developer and Wella Koleston as a gloss.
I am growing my hair out so have gray/white in parts which I really like. I use the purple shampoo but not often. Since my hair is not treated I am supposing that this is okay and
Not harming anything?
Do you make the fabulous colour remover in the Blue and Pink boxes?
Holy crap! That is exactly what happened to my hair. We cut it off in the end. My new colourist never recommended purple shampoo to me.
Something about the way you deliver the info, straight and no bs. Thank you!
Thanks for the hair product marketing analysis. I have fallen for some of these traps, and appreciate you setting me straight. This is so educational and you're saving me time and money!
OMGosh! Chris I started watching you just a few weeks ago and my hair is already changing for the better! It's so refreshing to find someone who shares the honest truth about haircare products. No more kits or sets unless you say otherwise! Thanks so much!💞✂️💞
Love the honesty about not needing all the extra products, especially about Olaplex. Thank you!
Good to know about the purple conditioner. I’ve just purchased the purple shampoo for my hair as I decided to grow out my coloured hair 3 plus yrs ago. It’s now a mixture of white and dark blonde. My scalp is a lot healthier now. I also didn’t know it wasn’t really a shampoo as such but a toner. Thank you for the info!
I love your honesty Chris. This is refreshing.
You answered my questions. I am going grey and wanted to know the best products. I love my shampoo and conditioner and didn’t want to change them. Knowing all I have to do is a recommended purple mask is the only thing I need is amazing!
Thank you.
My hair is healthy and down to hips and I want to keep it that way. You made my day!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I have been watching for a few weeks now and OMG!
I have followed your recommendations and my hair is transformed. I would love to come to your salon (live in FL) to show you before and after pics as I took them so that I could see a difference.
YOU ARE AMAZING and I hope you keep doing videos because I have learned so much!
I had a stylist use Olaplex on my hair, wasn’t impressed by any means and have stuck with Moroccan Oil & treatments having found that these work best. Am always cynical when a brand insists you have to use the entire range, these people are not your friend !!
I tried moroccan products only one I could use is the oil. I have my and my family's 4c curls from thick to fine Curlsmith. I love these products
Olaplex is hit or miss. One time i used it on my hair and it fried the hell out of it
Than your hair was not damaged but too dry 🤷🏽♀️
Olaplex #3 made my fried miserable hair into baby soft hair. Love love it
Olaplex destroyed me hair :(
thank you for being so transparent and straight to the point 😌x
You give the most logical and simple answers I have ever heard in my life for hair💗thank you 🥂
Thank you for the info about purple shampoos & conditioners. I've recently stopped dying my hair, and have grey hair now. So this has been very helpful, especially the part about not needing both the shampoo & conditioner together. Great video.
Honestly you don’t necessarily need a purple shampoo unless your hair looks a bit yellowy. My hair is grey, but since it doesn’t have a yellow tone I didn’t notice much difference at all when I tried purple shampoo.
The note about scalp scrubs is SO true. I used to use one and it made my scalp and the roots of my hair feel so dry, and I am a girl with oily scalp.
Love your analogies! And great video, much appreciated 😊
Absolutely favorite new channel! I wish I had found you years ago! I am revamping the way I do everything and appreciate this so much! Literally never found better hair advice!
As always you speak the truth. Keep those videos coming.
Love you Chris, you're so to the point and honest, thank you 😊
The purple shampoo tip is great!! I've been using purple shampoo as a shampoo. I will be changing it up and using a regular shampoo to clean my hair then purple for the timing affect. Thanks for this video!!
What an amazing channel! We appreciate sharing your knowledge with us! ❤
Very informative and truthful! Glad I came across your Channel 😊
Great tips. I learned from you in another video to wash my hair twice and while I was skeptical at first, I’ve started doing it and really reaping huge benefits. My hair is lighter, fluffier and bouncier so thanks!
I'm growing out a buzz cut (after shaving off all my bleach damaged hair), so your videos have been super helpful!
You rock! Thank you so much for the tips!! I have no idea what I'm doing with my hair, so I really appreciate the info.
Would you consider doing a video about how to style hair with cowlicks? And especially how to choose hairstyles for specific kinds of cowlicks eg bangs? Thanks so much -your videos and information are SO helpful!
Thank you 🙏 so much for everything.
By watching your videos, I have changed the way of taking care of my hair and definitely it’s a big change.
Two weeks already in the process, what a difference 😋
Thank you so much 😊
Hey! Just wanted to tell anybody that for purple products I found out my perfect solution with Pomelo, they have purple drops that you can add to any conditioner or mask, so you don't need to try out many purple products
Love ya chris been binge watching your page ❤️ helped me out alot. Love the trinity method!
Love your way of explaining things! ❤
❤️ thank you to your advices on hair ! I saved myself tons of money and my hair has never been this great !
Love that I learned about Redkens purple mask from you. The purple shampoos dried my hair out! With the mask my hair is so much better. I also am using the Color Fanatic leave in conditioner with olaplex oil. It’s been a game changer! Think dry hair is now much softer and healthier. I’m also using the Redken volume shampoo and conditioner. All of those from the Trinity set! I do use a professional moisturizing shampoo every other wash. Easily going 4-5 days between shampoos. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for your honesty! This is all very helpful to us all! Would you kindly recommend or do a video on gloss vs glaze vs toner vs masks? The difference, the better ones, the not so great, etc…Thank you.
This was such a great video Thank you for all the information, especially about the purple shampoo 🙌
I made the Olaplex mistake one time. Thank you for all your great advice. I have listened to you and all your advice and I am thankful the huge difference it has made in my hair❤️
Amazing! Finally someone that speak the the truth and help to realized we need less to accomplish more. I started doing few or all his tips, I can be happier with my hair❤❤. Thank you
I love your videos. I'm finally learning useful information that I can apply in my everyday life
Thank you so much for these videos! I have thin hair, but it has thinned more I suspect due to health issues I have been having. I appreciate the honesty about Olaplex as I was one who got sucked into the hype. I will only be buying a few of the products from now on. I was wondering how do you feel about collagen powders for hair health and/or growth? I currently take a hair, skin, and nails, multivitamin, but I have had the powder recommended to me. Again thanks so much, it's nice to have someone just tell it like it is instead of trying to just sell products
Styling and looking after grey hair would be a great video and much appreciated by many
Thank you! I used to load my hair with products and walk around with is AND sleep with it to give it more time to work. I stopped that and hopefully my hair will start to grow now
Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I needed this we ALL needed this.
There is so much helpful information in this video. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the honesty! 🙏
Thank you for everything you post on here!
Love love Olaplex and I agree with you on how they upsold their products. I personally love their number 3 and 6. but people need to use them sparingly. You dont need the entire line
I really learned a lot from this video! Great advise and tips! Thanks Chris! 😊
VERY helpful and informative!
Thank you!!!
Omg where have you been my whole life! Finally intelligent and honest discussions - Thank you ❤
Thank you for the informative video Chris...Thank you for cutting through all the crap! Loved the video
Happy to be able to help!
Appreciate your videos so much!! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us
Love your content. Thanks for making such trustworthy videos…subscribed!
New subscriber here and I love your vid’s 😂 honest, no bs and enjoy the education around how to look after your hair without all the products you don’t need
❤ Love your Channel ❤
I’ve learned so much. Thank you for the time you put into making videos.
So true about Olaplex. I have heard so many people that hate Olaplex and I LOVE it! Thanks for the info!
Thank you I love your teaching style. I learn so much from watching.
I love this channel! It’s been so helpful thank you
Super amazing contents!!! Thank you Blowout Professor! Pls make vid also for after-sun exposure/during sun exposure hair-care. Thank you!!!
I have extremely coarse hair due to aging. The Kenra hair dry spray is the only product I’ve tried that actually makes my hair SOFT. I usually blend it in after spraying it. My hair is short, so I don’t worry about the blow dry time.
Interesting about purple products. I fell for buying both but ended up never using them together. Felt like one or the other was enough. And finally awhile ago a stylist mentioned that it’s not really a shampoo or conditioner. I had been buying them from a salon for
Awhile and it was never explained. So thank you. Sheesh!
So good. Thanks mate!
Occasionally, I use organic pure castor oil and coconut oil on my hair for a day or so. My long, air-dried, natural hair really appreciates the overnight/all day oil treatment. After washing oil out, my hair feels amazing and moisturized. Works for me, but I'm a low maintenance, long hair person. Before watching you, my routine includes great shampoo/conditioner with leave-in conditioner spray and pro hair oils. Your videos are great, and make me feel more confident about how to care for my hair!my long, air-dried, natural hair, the overnight/all day oil treatment
Suggestion for hair is the first time I am watching . Thank you
I'm so happy to have found you! Wish I could get a Consult from you...gosh my hair has been destroyed
I discovered your channel yesterday evening by "accident" : I am binge watching your videos since then ! Thank you for your great advices !
So helpful! Thank you!
EXCELLENT ADVICE
Your a wealth of knowledge! Thank you !
So true. Thank you for the video. 🙏❤️❤️❤️
Oh my lord, I learned so much from this video, thanks so much! So glad I subscribed!!!
Thank you for this! I have used high end salon products and humble drugstore products. When it comes to shampoo and conditioner, I find that the water in your house has as much to do with the condition of your hair as the product itself along with how you treat it when you style it. Dove super-hydrating products work as well as Pureology and much better than the Moroccan Oil line on my dry, curly, aging hair. Gentle, lukewarm, minimal heat, accounting for moisture needs and regular trims are superior to spending $45 on a bottle of shampoo.
Truth!
Hey thank you for making these videos. Would you consider making one about a routine about how to treat a second and even third day hair? I would really appreciate.
Do you have any suggestions for medium hair products? I took your quiz, but the products you recommended can't be shipped into the country. Are there any similar shampoo/conditioners for medium hair types that are in Asia or can be shipped there?
Thanks for your great recommendations. I can already see good results in my hair.
Thank you for the awesome content!! 🙏
I've bought everything you've recommended for fine, long hair. You're the real MVP. I am now actually saving money because I use so little hair product only washing my hair every Tuesday. I can save my always-wanting-to-find-the-next-best-thing for makeup instead of expensive hair care. 😅😅 (but seriously, need to chill on that!) I easily achieved what I want in terms of looks, health, & feel just by being fortunate enough to have CZcams throw you in my feed. 😘 I understand your specialty/recommendations/advice will not work for everyone, but damn if they don't work perfect for me! Pulp Riot Berlin? 🔥👍🏼 All of these products go on sale. Happy Holidays!
Hi Chris!
Thank you for all the information, I was wondering if could take a look at Fable and Mane products and inform us about it. I and everyone else would appreciate it and thanks again.🙏🙏🥰
Thank you for your videos, and honest explanation
Very good information and good professional!
You are SO KNOWLEDGEABLE and I thank you for sharing and helping me change my hair health. ❤️
Wow, I though you were going to try and sell us products but no! You have a scientific approach that I love! I just subscribed! 😃
Great advice as always!! Thank you
🙏
I learn so much from you and we all appreciate your expertise
Aah I’ve been binge watching your videos! Ty for educating uss!!❤️❤️
Me tooooo, who knew we’ve been doing this? My stylist never told me that, wanted me to buy!
This made me laugh. I have always wondered why people use so many products on their hair and on their skin. I read one post where someone was asking about what order they ought to use the 6 - 9 products they use on their skin. I use two things on my hair - shampoo and conditioner (not expensive ones). I don't wash my hair every day, When I do, I wash my scalp with very little shampoo. I use the conditioner from about mid way down to the roots. Whenever I go get a trim, the stylist remarks on how healthy my hair is. I admit I don't do much with my hair - rarely blow dry, no rollers, no hot irons, don't dye it, (love my greys coming in) so that may be part of the reason I don't have damage. I just don't buy into the marketing of the eight millions products you 'have' to have for your hair or skin.
Me too, I don't know what all those other products are supposed to do. And I love my grays!!
My skin and hair are in perfect condition, always have been. Right now I have about 30 different leave in products and 5 different shampoo and conditioners. Additionally I use about 10 different products for my face and rotate days for different things 😉 I absolutely love hair and skincare products. Its a form of self care and it genuinely makes me happy. There's no need to "laugh" at people who enjoy to buy products and use them. Just like I wouldn't laugh at your lack of products.
@@jasl9987 that is amazing. I am totally clueless. I shampoo, sometimes condition and dry. For my face I wash it. I use minimal makeup, mascara, light blush and gloss because otherwise I don't know what to do. I am so impressed with people who have a routine and know proper use of the products. My hair ends up in a pony most of the time because it is below my waist, very thick and mostly dry. About 36 years ago was the last time it was shorter than mid back. Lol! You go Girl!!!
I had same routine: air dry, simple shampoo, confitioner or mask, sometimes a drop of natural oil, no ironing, no hot hairblow, no styling products, no regular towels, no coloring even if have some gray hair and no and my hair was thinning from ends, just breaking off, always puffy and coarse because naturally they are dry and vawy. So started adding moisture they get limp. And slow growing. Still cannot figure out what should I do with them.
Love ur video! Helps me a lot, thank you so much.. appreciated
Great tutorial! I have silver natural hair , I really appreciate your explanation of the purple shampoo
Me too sista
Great job …. Thank you for all your efforts. ❤❤❤
Thank you again Chris. The information about the purple shampoo and conditioner was really helpful!
Absolutely! The purple sets really grind on me so I have to speak up every now and then about it 😂
@@BlowoutProfessor if I already have a purple mask can I also use a purple shampoo? Or just stick with the mask and ditch the purple shampoo altogether?
Hi Chris! I discovered your channel today and I love your minimalist approach to hair care. I have a question: there is a major trend toward sustainable products and many of the ones you recommend are packaged in plastic. Have you explored solid bar shampoos and conditioners? Do you consider them to be inferior to professional products? Thanks for all the great content!
Thanks a lot for your tips. I appreciate it 🧡
In love! 💕💕 💕 Thank you for making my hair look and feel so beautiful
Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you so much for the great advices
My hair looks like a train wreck witnessed a trainwreck. Out of pure frustration and desperation, I found your channel. You have just given my poof ball much needed theory. Thank you so much for the info. No joke, I've thought about signing up for hair school. Not because "it's my dream career and and passion" but so I can learn how actually tame this stray cat on my head.
😂😂😂😂😂
I hear ya, sister
I love your post. Hope your hair got some therapy. We'd love an update on how it's doing now.
"Producty" ❤ we love you. In a hairdresser/client way of course!
