The welded sign at 22.38 makes me wonder if it was something to do with the proposed damming of the Lyons River at the Kennedy's. People at Gascoyne Junction wanted this back in 1967, the date on the sign. In October 1967 Charlie Court, then Minister for Industrial Development, came to the Junction to give us 20,000 reasons why this was not practical. The people responded by telling Charlie that with water the Junction could rival Carnarvon in fruit and vege growing . Deaf ears prevailed.
What a fantastic adventure really enjoyed the scenery and the isolation is amazing with the small animals and the hills are amazing enjoyed the video yes keep on going love the old buildings
Have enjoyed this series of videos Jack. As a new subscriber I have enjoyed the way you have put this together and the choice of music for your B-Roll shots. The Western side of the Kennedy's have been on my bucket list but the river crossing and towing a Kimberley Kamper nowadays (showing my age) I enjoy the comfort too much to not tow anymore! Thanks again and look forward to more of your work
Cheers! 🍻 even though I couldn’t really show the western side I believe it to be the best side! It’s a treacherous drive but all part of the fun! I managed to do most of the western side a couple of years back in our old Goldstream crown (in the summer) it was slow going but certainly worth it! Cheers for the support! 🍻
