Watch part 1 of the full version here (warning: long intro): • RUTHLESS DOG WHITE SEC...
I wanted to revisit this stunning Omaha Beach D-Day map made by RedDotBlackSquare and the quite decent (if I may say so myself) battle I created on it. However, we're not just gonna sit here and enjoy the battle. No, this time we're actually experimenting a bit using this particular style of battle, a landing or naval invasion containing waves of infantry. How likely are you to surive being part of the first wave? How big is the risk of being KIA if you're landing 10 minutes after the first wave? We're about to find out!
(Family friendly and educational content with stunning Ed Sheeran cover despite all the adult tags and words used in the description, CZcams!)
This battle was made using RobZ Realism Mod for Men of War Assault Squad 2 - Hry

Wave 1)0.5%
Wave 2)4.8%
Wave 3)48.9%
@Random Me truth
0.5? That's amazing..0.5 out of 189..Oh my god..The chances, That adam guy would probably never know how lucky he was,
@Ludicrousgaming .5% out of 100%= 1 out of 189
@@fatmannofallout8195 ohhh
@@tyxfit The 189 is your 100 of which 1 guy survived. So 1 is your .5 out of 100%. It would have been more interesting had more of the 1st and 2nd wave survived. Could have looked at more on the correlation. Even something like the percentage of loss/region of the map matched against the number of german defenders. Actually interesting how relative to expectrd casualties the 3rd wave lost a lot more the I would have though they would. Lot of it was due to AI stupidity with th 88 at the end and so on.
In real life they were stuck at Omaha Beach for a little over 12 hours. They had to dig in or die. My godfather was one of those men.
My Great grandfather survive the first wave
One of those men who survived or dies
He lived by I only met him when I was one or two years old
My grandmother was in the first wave as well, it was horrible she said
@@Leaffordes I think thats a lie...
you should find out who that 1 soldier from wave 1 is , and then record the replay and follow only him around. (if you have the replay)
That sounds so awesome
^THIS
this isnt total war it is litteraly impossible to A. find out where he was B. Follow him C. There is no replays at all
that is so sad tho, it would've been great
I keep choking on my coke because i didn't expect this video to be funny.
3:14 I think I've found that very brave survivor from wave 1.. (lower left of the screen).
Brave.. and very lucky
That adam guy has a 0.5% chance of surviving (I didn't calculate this), The fact that he probably knew alot of the people in his Higgins boat (I'm giving these virtual characters personification) too. He will never ever get to see them again, But man..I still can't believe 0.5 out of 189..Sheesh
Nice video diplex!
And he didn't kill anyone, he went thought it all and didn't have to kill a single german soldier lmao
Lol poor bastard was repeatedly pinned down probably and everyone else rescued him
"That's a pretty good hit... a lot of civilian damage!"

Hey Diplex! this is my second and last time commenting this.
During the early stages of World war 2, the British occupied Iceland out of fear of a German invasion. Of course, this invasion never came and the island stayed in relative peace for the remainder of the war. I think it could be interesting if we saw the German planned invasion of Iceland, Operation Ikarus. We could see German troops from the 163rd infantry division landing from the converted Ocean liners, Europa and Bremen on the black pebble beaches of Iceland or German and British troops clashing in the cities of Reykjavik and Akureyri. Just an Idea but I hope you consider it.
Glad to see you regularly uplaoding. Keep up the good work!
my mans really wants to see this happen
@@bluespy4050 bruh I posted 2 comments in the span of a month.
In different parts of the omaha beach there was steep cliffs with incredibly well concealed defensive positions. The carnage there was unimaginable
I can’t believe how much PTSD the one survivor from the first wave had to endure. losing all your comrades and the only person who survived the war in your battalion.
My Dad was there. He waited till I was 18 and my draft number was 4 for Vietnam and I got my letter to report to boot camp. Then he told me about the landing. He survived and the tank division he was with chased the Germans the whole way across France to Germany. He was shot 3 times and after the war came home and never talked about it till he talked to me. I never made it to Vietnam. I was shot in the back at Kent State in 1970. Paralyzed for 6 months. I still get headaches almost daily. Dad was always my hero.
That map really is magnificent! Great video too! keep 'em coming Diplex!
Thank you!
I super enjoyed this extra info breakdown at the end
That's actually a genius way to both check and shocase the numbers

Good vid as always
Omaha casualty reports, 90% around there 1st wave, 20 to 30% at wave 6, so you see we bout lost omaha
Love the work what you did on this mod I think the war of Omaha Beach is one of the best work ever.👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
I have a question what happened if you make an editing of the battle of Omaha Beach in World War 1, because I think it might the best work that you can do ever keep up the impressive work you’re doing your #1 best work in the world.👍🏾👏🏾😃😄😃👏🏾👍🏾
I quite like that idea actually. WW1 Omaha Beach!
Hi diplex i really Like this format and i suggest You to do more video Like this
Very cool Diplex!
Blown away by the tactics that were used in the real battle. The amount of time that it took to adjust while ppl died is amazing. From what I’ve read the naval gun support for actually aiming at what was shooting at the troops came way late if at all as evidenced by the bunkers still standing to this day that could’ve been targeted as Americans were under fire.
Great video Diplex 🙂
Love these D-day videos
Great video!🤪
Gadaff, gadaff!
Love it
I remember a story of a Higgins boat full of troops that was completely wiped out gruesome stuff man
That explosion at the end of the battle was wild! Lmao
hey baron can you do an editor tutorial so we can learn to do what you do ive been trying for a week and i learned the basics but i feel like i can learn more from you.
I believe my relative was part of the first wave he fought all the way up until the battle of the bulge When he was able to go home
He'll always pick D-Day have another battle somewhere else not only D-Day
what a sucker right?
Would be cool if you would make a behind the Scene Video. I am really interested in scripting and so I'd love to see how you do that for your battles
Here is another video of my favorite youtuber

We learned the hard way in the great war that charging machineguns head on is a quick route to the crows road. Those men really drew the short straw but they dealt with it like champions.
I wish I knew how to use the editor so I can make scenarios
Think you could script a cool hurtgen forest battle? Maybe like scripted gi's walking into an mg ambush and then like a tug of war between german and us armor and infantry?
Do more battles like this
Survived soldiers
interesting setup at the end ! maybe do some HALO ?
I love me some uncle sams magic at 4:01
I heard Wave 1 in D Day was specifically picked to be young guys because them being brand new and very young, they had a mentality like most young kids that they are invisible and nothing hurt them, basically 1st wave they knew would be wasted.
I don't want to be picky but seeing the 2 versions of this battle the awesomeness still the same same but the since first video one thing keep me thinking. Omaha beach didn't have this type of construction so near of the beach ( I could be wrong) but Sword and Juno had. What I am saying give the British a chance on this battle. You did this on the battle of the Bulge ;)
Diplex can we get a mod list video of mods you use in videos or maybe in the description?
or maybe you have a steam work shop?
Diplex, you should do a tutorial on mowas2 editor for purely scripting scenarios
You have to do this again
I drilled into the first wave. The common impression is it was thousands. The information I saw showed it as 1450. I can't recall where I found the link, but the after action reports I read were nail biters
I can use robz, when I tried to use it, it says "Cannot load DDS DXT coded textures must have multiple of 4 dimensions"
Can anyone help?
Can you make a call to arms editor tutorial?
Dog White was actually rather mild compared to the brutal sectors of Dog Green, Dog Red and Easy Red/Green. Not that it wasn't a cake walk but it show just how horrible it was to be on those other sectors.
Lmao after they killed that single German the grenade box blows up as they casually walk away from the artillery piece probably killing a few dozen. That was hilarious lol
The mortars did all the work. They always do.
RIP First Wave
Pls do this again
Can you do naval battles
My Great grandfather survive the first wave on D-Day
Don't be the last person entering the landing craft when loading.
what mods do you use that you have the least amount of problems with and do you have a how to video for scripting a battle
totally not about the survival rate but a kool battle i think would be WW1 vs WW2 vs present day military just putting it out there
Do... do I hear Battlefield death sounds and voicelines? OH I DO!!!!!
Those juicy flak 88's bro
LOL WTF WAVE 3 WERE JUST CHILLING THERE IN THE WATER
That why we always called the “first wave” as “Shell dust” in Chinese...
Battle starts at 02:30
What is the name of this game? I want to play it!
Wouldn’t this beach represent Utah better?
It should, I must have missed it because I'm a huge World War II buff. However yeah you're right most of the Americans landed on Utah Beach and Omaha Beach and yeah I think there were several other ones but Utah Beach and Omaha Beach tend to be the most I guess historical or relevant or credited Etc I'm not sure what the actual casualties were as far as the first wave on those beaches but I'm sure it wasn't good. The first man who landed on that beach were basically cannon fodder and distractions so that the second third and fourth wave could come in and set up and start returning fire. can you imagine being the first guy to step off or jump over the side of one of those Higgins boats as it hit the beach in the first wave? I mean the balls on those guys must have just been f****** massive probably easy targets. But in all seriousness it takes an incredible amount of bravery and dedication and just self-control to jump off of those boats as they hit the beach knowing that you're the first guy the first troop to set foot in France on the Western Front against the Nazis knowing you're probably going to die or at least get shot or severely wounded. I can't even begin to imagine.
What about the British and Canadian?

if you want to get out of ww2 for something interesting and different, you could cover the allied intervention in the russian civil war during 1919, plenty of factions from the UK, Australia, USA, Greece, Japan, serbia and more...hell you can even just cover the russian civil war its self or the poland bolshevik wars.
Hi
Är du svensk
tbh, i think you should add more germans
Short answer : nobody survived first wave
Ehm let's just ignore the fact that there were 7000 thousand Germans facing 50000 Americans with air and naval support, so actually storming that beach wouldn't have been much of a difficulty if allied high command hadn't been so incompetent
@diplexheated why do you have to clickbait man cmon now

This wasnt a game, cool or fun at all. Luaghing at machine guns and flak. Thousands of men gave thier lives to defeat evil and preserve our freedom. There is nothing beautiful about it. Also your map is completely inaccurate.
