100 gecs is absolutely incredible live!!! Check out some their sets! Saw them last weekend and the sound cut out, they came up to the front of the stage, sat down, and played acoustic with everyone signing along. It was insanely cool

There are people that genuinely love this album (me for one), and obviously we know it's weird and unconventional and expect people to be taken aback by it. But thanks for pushing thru that and giving it a genuine listen. For me personally I have ADD and this album is something that keeps me engaged and brings me a lot of joy. It's like having toy keys dangled in front of you when you were a baby hahaha that's kinda how I see this album. It's very fun. But on a deeper note I like what 100 gecs are doing here bringing so many subgenres of electronica that we have kinda moved past (mainstream-wise anyway) like dubstep and techno and ska. It's like they're saying "there's actually something to these genres still, there's more potential to explore within them". And i really like that approach to music

I can't explain with words what an experience it is to listen to this album on vinyl. The distorsion is there but NEVER out of place. This is a masterclass in fucking up your sounds to the right point

you should definitely listen to "fishmonger" by underscores, it kinda falls under the same realm but has more established sounds and genre influences like Punk-Rock and Indie rock
