Great information! Thank you. Many of the campground sewer ports are threaded. The adapter attached to the clear elbow is also threaded. Screwing the adapter into the sewer port makes for a secure and odor free connection. No rock or brick necessary to hold the clear elbow into place.

Someone gave me a great tip for keeping the sewer hose in the ground fitting. (where you put bricks). Get an old pair of tube socks and fill one with gravel, secure with a cable tie, insert it into the other sock, secure with another cable tie. You now have a "sand bag" to drop on the hose. It's heavy, flexible, and cheap! Keep it where you store your gloves, etc.

Not that one way is more correct than the other, but we would hook up the Portible water to the source and just run a little water through it before hooking it up to the trailer. Is it necessary? Probably not but it does get any funk washed out before you hook it up to the trailer

@@joeslacker1020 Generally that’s used if you were dumping at a dump station, it provides a good cleaning of the tanks, don’t ever hook up your portable water hose to the black tank flush which was located above the portable supply line.

Then where would i dump it -- i have land like that of an rv park right now with a bank, bushes trees etc i wonder if i could dump it there somewhere or hook it to the main house somehow from my travel trailer.

Do you have a clean out on your septic line from the main house? A lot of these are a 4 inch PVC pipe that comes to the surface. You can remove the 4 inch cap off of the PVC and put your 90° elbow straight into that

@@Embarq007 I think I've seen these before when I was using my Dr Field and Brush mower to earn money clearing fields and yards for people with stickers and small trees.
But is there any other options you can think of or is it literally just a sewer disposal is the only option for this problem?

This video does a disservice to any viewer who is trying to learn about hooking up to shore power. It makes a fundamental mistake when demonstrating the process. It tells you to FIRST plug power chord into trailer then into power source. ABSOLUTELY WRONG. The first thing to do is to test the shore power for continuity with valid tester. Then shut off breaker at power source ….plug in cable to trailer and power source…then you throw breaker at power source on.
