Met danny at the airport in Vegas on a layover a few years ago (right when he was huge with history channel). We sat and talked cars like 2 normal dudes for like 20 min. It's cool to see someone retain the passion for what they love even after they become famous
You guys did great making that car look like a true 70s time capsule.

It was 1973 in Norfolk VA. My brother and I were 11 & 12 yrs old. A pimped out 71 out Superfly Eldorado drove by w peace signs on the headlights, shag carpet on the dash & a lit hood ornament. The soul brother driving it had a pink broad brimmed hat & big groovy shades. As he passed he hit the ooga horn as so we broke out into the song "SUPER-FLY" LOL.

When I saw SuperFly in 1972, I left the theater wanting three things: 1. Money 2. A fine black woman. 3. A Cadillac Today, I have 1, 2 & 3. I've been married for FORTY YEARS! Very nice car bro!

I was Les Dunham's neighbor growing up. He was my hero for sure. There were hot-rods and custom bikes coming and going all the time, and he was into show customs at that time (before the "Super fly" cars). It's where he got his start. I drop in to see him whenever I can. The man is an East Coast legend. I wish him well.

Issac Hayes had a blue one of these in Memphis, TN.
I used to have a 1971 Eldorado convertible back in the late 80's. I painted it black. It had a white top on it. And I lowered it too. Had a lot of fun with it. I wish I could have this pimp mobile you put together here! Its over the top. But I'd drive the shit outta that thing! I would have never thought these Caddy's would be collector type cars. I'm glad to see your doing it. I dream of a Black exploitation Pimp Ride!
Hey Count, That caddy really sends this old man back. When I was a teenager my girl and I went to radio city music hall guest what was out front a pimped out eldo. Had duesenberg exterior
exhaust ,with running boards along the bottom of the doors and painted white and it had leopard faux upholstery. Lots of chrome. The girls were in the back and the pimp was talking to some guy. Being a car nut that was one moment that stuck in my head for the last 50 years.

Wow! I had a '72 Galaxie 500 as a kid with black and white faux zebra fur interior. Love this car man. Enjoyed the movie. Brings back lots of memories. Next time I'm in Vegas I'd like to stop by and see it in person.

Love your channel! In 1978 I was 18 and working at a mechanic/transmission shop on Livernois in Detroit, the hood. I would see those Pimp-mobiles daily along with the superfly clothes these dude would wear. I reside in Florida now but miss my hometown, especially a Lafayette coney.

This is back when Caddy was uniquely American. Now they are just a BMW, Mercedes, etc wannabe.
They use to be all around up and down the streets of Milwaukee. My first and third car was a Cadillac. 1975 coupe, and a 1983 eldorado SS top barritz w/sunroof . 1984 -1991 respectedly

Danny. My friends father back when I was a kid in the early 70's. Had a 71 Eldorado. And it was just an awesome beautiful car. I loved it. When he would come and pick us kids up. From the movies in it. We loved riding in it. Yours is also beautiful. I would keep it 4 ever bud.🤗

I owned a 68,71 and a 75 Eldorados. In the seventies Eldorado's were called "Hawgs". Superfly Movie is an American treasure..

That's a beautiful car! Cadillacs aren't the same these days. They were real cars back then. Gave me some ideas for my Caddy as well. Thanks a million Danny! Still want to see a vid on your Crown Vic. People overlook how great those cars are btw. I'm sure you have put more power in yours. I want to turn my crown Vic into a hellcat killer while keeping it looking factory.
