    This guy seriously went and reviewed these headphones after talking the whole freaking time while it was creating his sound profile. And it specifically says to be as quiet as possible during this process. Genius. Today anyone can be a reviewer.

      Ive seen alot of ppl talking and moving around alot, which messes up the process. You really have to sit still and be absolutely quiet for the best experience.

      And then he complained that it took so long to create his profile.
      It should only took 1 minute if he can keep quiet. I've tried creating a profile in noisy environment, it took very long and the profile doesn't fit me.

  • @swipyduck
    @swipyduck Před 4 lety +46

    I've had these for more than 2 years now, and here's my review: I was really curious about the hearing profile, and YES it is outstanding, clearly not a gimmick (I do like one refresh of my profile every month or two and the design of my sound logo is always the same). The fact that it has both over hear and in hear is actually very useful. All the mid and high goes through the in hear, while the lower frequency goes through the over hear. Meaning that you can crush your volume to the top without loosing any sound quality as it's not only one speaker canal. You can listen to classical music as if it was played next to you (or should I say, AROUND you), but truly any type of music will sound amazing. I was a huge Bose enthusiast before these and now it's impossible to turn back. EVERY headphones I tried after these ones sounded compressed and lacked of consistence across the music. It's like having a bose QC35 and then listenting to a cheap pair of headphones bought 25€ on a casual shop.
    Gaming wise, they are obviously mind blowing also. (Yeah hearing a barret cal 50 shot while wearing this is very scary!)
    Now the noise cancelling: When I first bought these headphones, they didn't support any ANC whatsoever, and that was my biggest con about these. several weeks after, an update came in, and guess what, ANC!! As a true fan of Bose's ANC, I was so surprised how great it works. When in a quiet place, you can hear a lot of white noise with Bose's headphones or in hear ones. And it seems to just get rid of the high frequency. Nura in the other hand, as the seal around your hear is quite strong, the ANC works like a charm. No white noise in the background, and the Social Mode is a must have feature (a simple tap on the side of your headphones and it seems like you don't wear anything on your head anymore, VERY useful while being in a shop or briefly talking to someone!)
    True story: I have a friend who's half deaf, and when I made him try my Nuras, he almost cried as it was the first time he was able to listen to music equally from both ears.
    And when I tried his profile out of curiosity, I immediatley heard that one ear was louder than the other one. I was mind blown.
    the battery life is amazing, and using them to go to work and back, I recharge them once a week.
    NOW THE BAD STUFF: As amazing as they are, the fact that band adjustment isn't incremental but a slider thing (not a 'click' that maintain its position) Those are heavy on the ears after a couple hours. I really hope they will change this for futur designs.
    Also, it is clearly not a pair of headphones you would wear while doing any kind of sport. As mentionned, the headband gets loose quite fast if you move your head too fast, and as it's perfectly sealed, you tend to sweat a bit inside (cleaning-friendly but still).
    To conclude, beware!! when you sign for a Nuraphone, you get cursed for EVERY other headphones on the market in that price range and under. (yéyéyé even the Sony blablalba that sound just like an old school radio after being used to Nura, and Bose are the same, Sennheiser same).
    They are an amazing piece of tech, but they lack that comfort that Bose or Sony do better. Nuraphones are for music enthusiasts that know how to differentiate the good from the bad when comparing sound quality. If you are one of them, buy them blindly, putt them on, relax, and enjoy, the true way of listening to music.
    Hope I helped!

      swipyduck Could not have written a better reply myself. I have had these for over 2-3 years now, and these still feel, look and sound just as good to when they came out of the box. It took a while for me to get used to the ear buds like 2 weeks but quickly I adapted to them, and big I have never ever looked at any other pair of headphone as the music is PERSONALISED. I disagree with Alex saying you should by another pair for ‘how the artist intended you to hear the music’ as Nura’s are made FOR YOU. The music is therefore tailored for you, and will sound better than any other headphones out there for any music you listen too. The microphones that test your hearing are the same ones used in the Mars mission as well as as the same microphones used to test babies earring as well, with the signals that are sent into your ear, bounce off the cochlear, and reverb back into the microphone. This is some proper kit guys. Also, yes. YOU CAN RUN IN THESE. 5K? No problem. 10K? Easy. They suck to your head, due to the headband and the grip that the inner bud has, so nothing is coming off. And you can without a doubt, wear these for a five hour flight. Sure these are heavier than the Boses or the Sony’s but they out too them in sound quality. You can TRY THESE FOR 30 days and or get your money back. Nothing too lose. I chose these as they were different and I was torn between the Sony’s or these. But these just were different and clearly out of any headphones league for the pure quality and the sound that it produces is unmatched. If your thinking of buying these for £350, yes, you should. But I would visit Nuras website to understand the product more, rather than buying these straight away on amazon. You won’t regret it!

    I have them, but you should not talk or move like your mouth while its calibrating or making your profile because that will mess the "geography" of your ear. It makes sound because it have like 8 super sensitive microphones and those microphones will pick up the "robotic sound" when you made your profile. Thats why you should not talk or move.

      I have used them for 4 years now, I love them and always will, please tell your uncle this very important message, it will catapult them into a huge market by doing this one little thing, program a "safe hearing" mode into them where you can set a certain decibel level at which they will mute any sound over that limit when you are in social mode. I use mine for shooting often and when people shoot, it's loud as all hell through my nura phones, electronic hearing protection made for guns operate this way but have terrible audio quality. If nuraohone could have an update and make that available, it would be very useful not just to people who shoot but also many different kinds of activities. They have the best audio quality and best audio quality in their social mode at picking up ambient noise and people talking so well I forget they are on my head and I'm just walking around in social mode without music going. Thank you so much for reading this and please pass it on to your uncle, nuraphones changed the way I hear music forever.

  • @attilab.2818

    You ruined the whole hearing profile creation with the talking.
    You should be in a quiet room, no talking, no surrounding noise. Slow, calmed breathing throughout the process, not moving your head, jaw or anything else, no swallow either. These headphones have very sensitive microphones which pick up all of these noises I mentioned above and will have a major effect of your hearing profile and the final outcome of the sound signature.
    If you did this way, you wouldn’t even mention those crap Bose NC700 or the Sony WH-1000XM3s. They are nowhere near compare to the Nuraphones.

    I have had these for over 2-3 years now, and these still feel, look and sound just as good to when they came out of the box. It took a while for me to get used to the ear buds like 2 weeks but quickly I adapted to them, and boy I have never ever looked at any other pair of headphone as the music is PERSONALISED. Also after nearly 3 years of owning these, the adjustable bass is not a gimmick by any means. I love bass, and trust me, as Alex said you don’t need them turned up to the max bass to enjoy it. You just adjust it to what suits you.
    I disagree though with Alex saying you should by another pair for ‘how the artist intended you to hear the music’ as Nura’s are made FOR YOU. The music is therefore tailored FOR YOU, and will sound better than any other headphones out there for any music you listen too. The microphones that test your hearing are the same ones used in the Mars mission as well as as the same microphones used to test babies hearing as well, with the signals that are sent into your ear, bounce off the cochlear, and reverb back into the microphone. That’s the science behind it. The bass and the treble are competed due to the unique in ear and out ear build. Which is simply insane, as they combine the best of both worlds.
    This is some proper kit guys. Also, yes. YOU CAN RUN IN THESE. 5K? No problem. 10K? Easy. They suck to your head, due to the headband and the grip that the inner bud has, so nothing is coming off. Sure they might to slowly become slightly looser as you run, but you simply tighten them, no hassle. And you can without a doubt, wear these for a five hour flight. Sure these are heavier than the Boses or the Sony’s but they out too them in sound quality. You can TRY THESE FOR 30 days and or get your money back. Nothing too lose.
    The noise canceling is ridiculous, honestly it’s insane, you can literally be in the music when this is turned on. Overall, I chose these as they were different and I was torn between the Sony’s or these. But these just were different and clearly out of any headphones league for the pure quality and the sound that it produces is unmatched.

      They're not worth £349, you can get better sounding headphones for much cheaper. You're pretty much paying a high price for a unique design, that's all. If you want to fork out that much money for sound quality, you can literally buy open back headphones for way cheaper. It's so dumb that people buy closed back headphones for a single use case, especially ones that suck for everything else.

    The one thing I want from a headphone is to hear as much of the audio recording as possible, as the artist intended. For me, the Nura's do this without having to spend £1500+ on a pair of Audeze headphones with a decent HA.

      The headphones has microphones inside them that can pick up very small soundwaves, all the robotic sounds bounce inside the ear canal and returns, by that figuering out what soundwaves are lacking and bringing a personalised sound. Like fingerprints, every human has different hearing.
      I myself can verify that the personalised sound is better, but the base is what makes these headphones very good.

    I was one of the kickstarter backers of this and owned them for about 2 years. Selling them was heartbreaking because the sound quality is absolutely EXCELLENT, I have still not heard better sound from any headphones. But the silicon material on the ear cups, the relatively heavy weight of them combined with the "probe" make them very uncomfortable for lengthy use. Especially since they tend to move ever so slightly with your head movements which also move the probe inside your ear this gets a lot more annoying than normal in-ear headphones. In a sense it's like in-ear headphones that is being pushed around slightly from time to time. Also the ANC on these are far inferior to many other brands :(

    people seem to forget that every body is unique, including your ears. For some, these are uncomfortable and dont sit right on their head or in their ears. And theres others that absolutely love these headphones. Its a new experience and for me thats enough to justify buying them and you wont find out until you try them yourselves...

  • @wiggenvan
    @wiggenvan Před 2 lety +2

    I want to love these, but I wouldn’t recommend them. They honestly do sound very nice, and I like them better in pure sound than my qc35ii’s, BUT, the ear fatigue on my ear cartilage is too much. I found the small tips fit the best for me, but over time even sitting still at a desk, they will at best feel noticeable on my ears, at worst, painful. They are pretty heavy for headphones, but that itself is not an issue for me. For those who think it would be good as a gaming headset, be warned your voice gets hyper-amplified in your head because the headphone makes the same effect as sticking your fingers in your ears. Also causes the effect if I am not playing music, i audibly hear my heart beat, which can be annoying. I promise im not a hater, but know what you’re getting into. I think for the same price, k will probably return these and get HD600s for my at home pc setup.

      It lets you choose something called social mode, which seem to cancel the ANC mode plus halve the volume of the sound source. Works ok I guess. Would be better if it had proper noise cancellation with some filtering to let human voice range through. I'm medium impressed with the nuraphone. def works for sitting still listening, but they make a lot of noises if you are moving about. Especially outdoors in wind.. Also the earplugs move inside your ear as you move around, throwing off the eq settings. They do sound good tho, but are they really worth the money? IMO my cheap xiaomi earbuds are more comfortable, sound a lot better while moving about and in general sound really good. Having buyers remorse atm tbh.

Plus technology has a way of trickling down in price over time, sure not many people buy Sennheisers $59,000 Orpheus headphones, but the company learnt a lot in the process of creating them which can be implemented in future revisions of everything they make, then copied by other companies as well 😅 when tech advances it's ultimately the consumer that wins 👍👍 plus you can just get some earphones from poundland and go talk to someone else 👋😉👍

I had the older wh-1000x which to be honest I didn't find very good so I'm not sure if the 1000XM3 is actually any better.
    have you reviewed other active noise cancelling headphones other than the generic Bose 700 and the light? Because they're still pretty bad. In my opinion, they don't block the high frequencies which I think is more the problem then blocking lower frequencies.

    • @davidgates5699
      @davidgates5699 Před 3 lety

      First you have to get them seated appropriately on your head, forget how you wore your other headphones, you have to adjust these until you find your sweet spot with these. When you do the personalization, be in a quiet room and be still, don't make any sounds, and breathe softly. The sounds reflect off your eardrum back to microphones in the headset. I also recommend you clean your ears before you do the profile as well. Once it's done you will be amazed by the sound.

    Glad you reviewed this and was honest about the experience. I too was impressed initially but ultimately they are not practical. When you use this on the train or in a built up area the frequencies mess up and you can’t have personalised sound, in fact you can’t have Bluetooth connected even, instead you must connect the wire and settle for the standard mode. If you bought this for a personalised experience and want a wireless headphone for commuting on the tube everyday then don’t bother. I live in London and need to take the tube to work when I’m in the office and well I’ve gone back to my old wired £10 earphones. It’s basically the same experience. I’m currently in the process of sending my nuraphone back. I know you have so much tech to review but genuinely try and use this when you next travel and see how you find it. That would be the ultimate review tbh.

      Just saying I work as a network engineer and I'm in server rooms more than 5 hours a day that have some of the craziest AC systems running and these headphones stop the noise completely. You might have a bad pair.

    Rubbish headphones, owned a pair for a day and sent them back, fluffy bass, uncomfortable, heavy, move about on your head, you sound muffled when talking on the phone, don't fold away, very limited controls, no eq controls to sweeten the sound. They gave me ear pain after an hours listening, which continued for a while after taking them off.
    Very limited for the money, grab a set if sennheiser or bose or Sony cans
    Did I mention l, the bass is overwhelming, distorted and muffled....... haven't been this disappointed in a product in years. Makes me angry when I see those videos of people going wow........

      And........the connecting cable is shit, welcome to the worlds most frustrating headphones. Why do they need to turn off when you take them off, no need nust pause the music........ we can turn you off when we need to............ FFS

      wow, you are not into bass are you, lol. Try to make many personal audio profiles for the headphone, they would be different each time, you can also toggle the bass from frontrow to backrow to decrease the bass. You also need to stay quiet during the the making of the sound profile for the best experience(didn't stay quiet did you?)
