How Not To Rebuild A Dana 30

A mostly complete guide on how to rebuild a Dana 30 axle for a Jeep. Unlike other guides, I will also include my own mistakes so that you can learn them from them.
Torque specs, all in ft-lbs unless otherwise specified:
Unit bearing bolts: 75
Stub shaft to hub: 175
Pinion preload: 20-40 in-lbs for a new bearing, most people set to 20
Pinion nut: yes
Carrier bearing cap: 45
Cover bolts: 30
Upper ball joint: 75
Lower ball joint: 80
