We're delighted to unveil the Club’s new Umbro 2023/24 Anthem Kit - available to pre-order now at tinyurl.com/yyhycaj4 and in stores from Saturday 15 July.
Our Home kit for the new season features the Club’s traditional claret body with blue sleeves, and includes a special detail on the front of every shirt.
The Hammers’ anthem, I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, is etched into the fabric of our Club and a distinctive Bubbles pattern is woven through the Anthem Kit, in recognition of its storied role in our heritage.
Bubbles and West Ham United go hand-in-hand and there are several theories as to how the Broadway song came to be synonymous with the Claret and Blue Army, who sing it loud and proud everywhere from east London to all corners of the globe.
Some say it started with Billy ‘Bubbles’ Murray, a Hammers player in the 1920s, who was said to have resembled the curly-haired child seen in the Pears Soap adverts of the time.
Others will tell you it was the Beckton Gas Works Band who brought it to us through playing it pitchside at the Boleyn Ground. It was also sung during the Blitz in the Tube stations, and heard on the terraces when we won the War Cup
But whatever story you believe - it's our song. Our anthem. Our history. The fabric of our club.
We sing it in east London, and it's recognised worldwide. It's our song of hope. Our song of pride. And we'll sing it forever.

Why can’t they add East London to the badge. Greater London and surrounding area is big and has a lot of people. London is too generic, a bit vague. Of someone asks you where you live and say “London” it doesn’t convey anything but if you say “ Hampstead” or Canning Town” you know something about that person. Similarly with football teams. Chelsea are in South West London while West Ham are in East London you know from that, if you are a Londoner, what that means, in all senses.

All these concept kits that the kids are designing look great, then lazy boring Umbro bring out something like a plain T shirt again, we need to ditch Umbro for good.
What a brilliant advert for what is quite possibly one of the worst kits we’ve ever made.
Those bubbles look like onion rings. Or like someone’s left a wet mug on the shirt. If you’re gonna do a bubble pattern, make them big and go all out with it! The graphic design here is terrible.
The JD logo on the side is huge. And to top it all off this is gonna be paired with stripey Ronald MacDonald socks.
