Yes Shawn. Another killer tune. Love the slide guitar work. Nice altered lick at the end. What else can I say.... love to hear you play. You have to come to Toronto, Canada soon. It would be such an honour to see you play live and hopefully meet you in person. Cheers Shawn. Stay well.
The Wendy’s drive thru speaker breaks up pretty nicely… Honestly, another great review Shawn! And Walrus Audio I think that is ultra cool! There is a lot of good fun to be had for electric guitar players, and also people who play synthesizers. A little creativity can tastefully be used in a lot of songs! Fun! And musical!
Damn. There are so many good pedals coming out. I have Mk I and it's killer. I guess I should have known a new one was coming out when Walrus discounted the original 385!
@@Two-Eyed_Boy Maybe eventually, but i have no current plans. The pedal stacks incredibly well with boost and overdrives. A treble booster is also really good with it. You could probably achieve the same thing mk II just by throwing a boost in front of the Mk I.
@@TheRodge2112 ah that's awesome! I currently run a DOD 250, always on with a bit of a bite and have some options for heavier gain but I'd like to pair down and replace a few with the 385.
Fantastic intro piece, that chord progression really went in a direction I didn't expect! And great hybrid slide playing, you're a man of many talents! Pedal looks and sounds cool, but I'm saving up for a nice amp at the moment (hoping for a Suhr Bella Reverb). Man, I would love for you to explain the little chord melody thing you played from 5:49 to 5:53!
Hey Shawn! I didn't realize you were in Nashville, would you ever do a video for people moving there? I'm looking to move to town in the next few months and would love to hear any places to check out, suggestions to meet musicians, places to live, etc?
'guitar into the amplificating device'..lol...Shawn you are funny...yeah I have seen other guys use projectors as guitar amps and they sound GOOD! I guess it doesn't take very much modification either but still probably beyond my ken! Great demo!
Some people use film projectors, some prefer toasters, microwaves, or the famous 1968 Whirlpool EH753A-3 Dual-Purpose Refrigerator w/a rotating spectrum op amp w/freeze control and a crisper switch- I hear you can just plug-in and play.
On most major brand furnaces manufactured after 1998, the jack is located on the lower left side just adjacent to the affixed label. Use an angled cable for sure. And, I've seen many a stereo set-up w/various fast-food drive-in speakers, they all sound good, especially when buffered/boosted by a Dyson vacuum (handheld).@@masterofreality230
@@ShawnTubbs Right on. Web site says it runs internally at 18v (guessing it uses a charge pump). So it doesn't seem likely that it's designed to take 18v input.
it's kind of farting so not everyone's cup of tea. BUT I really wish they do other type of overdrives with the same features so with the two indipendent channels and small form factor, this is great feature that you don't see much on pedals.
The two foot switches being that close to each other is a big turn off for me. I started to get rid of a lot of pedals like this after buying them then realizing after playing in a band with them by how unnecessary they was. Even having 2normal pedals next to each has been difficult recently going from one to the other during a song with the band.
Sounds like a Heathkit Ham radio with spent tubes played through a 3" speaker with razor cuts. Quirky, if you're into that. Kudos to Walrus for recreating something that none of us could ever have (or ever want?). If my amp started making that noise I would have to have it checked out.
Shawn, you could make a four slot toaster sound good, but for me this pedal adds overloaded static, not really distortion. I actually thought I might have a fried tweeter. It is a new sound for sure, kinda like that plazma pedal with bottled lightening inside. Anyhoo, they can't all be Klons can they? @@ShawnTubbs
Dude...I dont get it...with all the hacks out there today in the music business...why are you not winning Grammys as a songwriter or producer ??? ...I luv 99% of everything you write ... and im not trying to blow smoke up ur dress either...you need to find someone to write lyrics...seriously.
Always great to hear you play!!! Love to see you live on a stage Shawn…..clean player….A+++
Main, those two gain stages in a smaller stomp box could be a game changer for me. Great demo!

It’s dirty, I love it!!! ❤
Thanks, Shawn!
Another chill afternoon with a great track of Shawn, really nice 👍🏼
Thanks so much!
Always so inspiring to see you playing 🔥
Thanks very much!
The MKI has been on my board for a LONG time. I like that it goes from light and transparent, up thru crunchy and on to fuzz if you like.

I dunno, I'm leaning Taco Bell. More crunch...
Ahh…it’s like a lovely October night when you can “smell” Halloween in the air. 😎❤️✌️
Those Dusenbergs are gorgeous.
I love mine! Secret weapon guitars!

Do you suspect you'll upgrade to the MK2 or does the Mk1 play nicely with other gain pedals already?

Thanks Shawn! I guess alternative/indie guys can set a lot of acid sounds... Regards!

I'm still trying to get my Dyson to not sound shrill.
I cant find the 1/4" jack on my furnace, but when I do...watch out!

I love it, but I want the old all black pedal and the site shows a different look for this pedal. Anyways, great demo as usual, Shawn
They have the all black on the website, you just have to click on the image.
Cool eastman
Thanks, I love that guitar!
Wondering if this can be run on 18v and if so, does using 18v increase the dynamic range
Hmmm.. I don't think it's set up for 18v but reach out to Walrus.

They should have just put the extra gain stage on the foot switch.
Be a great pedal for recreating some classic Who. I have the original 385. Just don't get fooled again...

Yeah, that style of overdrive is not for everyone.
