- Since the third chapter has arrived for the awesome Poppy Playtime series I of course had to archive the trilogy as a whole as well. Its amazing to see how much this series has evolved over the years and how small it all started out. So grab a snack and a nice fizzy drink and sit back and relax as we embark on an amazing and scary journey with loveable characters like Poppy, Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy.
With this series you can really see how each chapter approaches an entire different angle with varied gameplay. Chapter 1 really is all about creating atmosphere and having a few puzzles to try out. Then chapter 2 introduces Mommy Longlegs as a protagonist and it is more heavily focused on minigames like Statues or Simon Says. Each new chapter adds new lore and Chapter 3 is the most varied and ambitious chapter yet as we head towards a giant orphanage that is being dominated by the scary Catnap. We have to use our wits and skills to always be a step ahead and hopefully bring this story to a good ending!

The dream sequence after CatNap attacks the player makes me think the protagonist was not only a former employee but a former orphan of playland as well

@@Ooferdoodlez there are multiple little dead toys scattered everywhere, the same could be said for bunzo bunny, his small counterparts are hung all over the place in chapter three, doesn’t necessarily say anything about THE toys’ state, unless it’s foreshadowing. Don’t forget the multiple small smiling critters even tho 90% of them are dead

I rarely get jump scares but imagine if games started to do that for real… Adding characters that when you watch them they are still then when you turn around they get closer 😂😂😂 That would make for a horrific gameplay! The sigh of relief I know you felt once you killed that creature chasing you so much so that you started going crazy on her body after 😂😂😂

There are so many horror games and other media like that! My personal favorites are the weeping angels in the Doctor Who series. They also show up in SCP games, Little Nightmares 2, Lethal company, and so many others! It's my favorite horror trope, and I'm glad to see you like them as well.

One of the creepy but cool things about Poppy is how much emotion you can hear in her voice when she talks.Its almost like she is an actual person.
I'm convinced the Poppy Gas doesn't put you to sleep. It just makes you hallucinate. Catnap is literally Scarecrow in living plush form.
You can't assume Catnap is Scarecrow only because of your theory, that is wrong too, since after the hallucinations we stand up from the ground.
I like that they go the Amnesia route of not having cutscenes. Even the narrative parts are in gameplay. Helps with the immersion.
