  • In this video, Dr Mike explains the 3 Steps of haemostasis (the process the body uses to stop bleeding). He also discusses the clotting cascade and explains all the clotting factors (I - XIII), including vitamin K and calcium ions.

    I watched a lecture 3+ times from my university for this very concept. I obtained my worst test score. Now I am studying for my final exam, and I am just blown away by how engaged I was in your lecture and how much I retained on my 1st watch.     What value does gamma carboxylation have for vitamin k dependent coagulation proteins, and why are serine protease inhibitors (serpins) present in plasma? What would be the effect if any of them were deficient? Thanks

    Is endothelial cell,same as epithelial cells ???

      Yes! The epithelial cells lining the inner walls of blood vessels,organs,etc are called endothelial cells (origin from endoderm germ layer) and the lining is called endothelium
