I love the arrangements of Baroque/Romantic compositions, really a magnificent enjoyment. More of those works, please.
I’m almost embarrassed to admit that although Elgar is probably for me in the top 10 composers of all time, I’ve not heard this work until now. Thanks so much to conductor and orchestra for this upload. .
The baroque sound transcribed using modern orchestration is a sound I just can't get enough of. This is right up there with one of my absolute favourites, the Bach/Webern Ricercar a 6. Thanks FRSO!

Je ne cesse de découvrir concert après concert toujours une symbiose de perfection et d’harmonie comme nul part ailleurs. J’en suis touché. J’ai 18 ans mon tonton est ingénieur du son à Radio France et côtoie beaucoup de chef d’orchestre j’admire ce milieu et l’exigence remarquable et surhumaine que vous apportez à votre métier est exprimé avec tant de magie. Votre parcours était tracé depuis longtemps. L’attention aux détails et la passion font toujours la différence et cela me scotche dans chaque mesure dans ce concert comme dans tant d’autres… La philharmonie de Frankfurt a beaucoup de chance de vous avoir 😊 vous avez trouvé votre orchestre bravo à eux bravo à vous pour nous transmettre votre sensibilité extraordinaire.

Der intelligente und geniale französische Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete deutsche Orchester im veränderlchen Tempo und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

冒頭の弱音で連打される大太鼓の響きの神秘さに魅入られる。200年も時代の離れたバッハとエルガーの禁断の交わりによって生まれた異形のキマイラが闇の深淵から立ち上がって来るのを見るかのようだ。実に恐ろしい。
Elgar: I have bridged the centuries and transformed the immortal music of Bach into a form today's listeners can enjoy!
