I think I'll just WATCH and PAY!

Sorry I know a lot of questions. Trying to see if I can do it to my 2021 challenger rt. Should be pretty much the same set up.
It’s the exact same setup…job takes me about 2hr for the entire car but can be up to 4hrs depending on if you’re experienced with wrenching 💪🏽 ride quality is perfect it doesn’t change much from the stock ride it just sits lower. Some cars have camber issues mainly in the front so I’ve installed megan racing adjustable upper control arms then had the car aligned again on those specific cars. Never seen any damage on shocks or struts from using these lowering springs they’ve held up on a friend of mine car for over 100k miles already 💀 he’s at 175k now and lowered the car around 40k but we do have these nice Florida roads 😂

Sway bar bolt, strut bolt, brake line bolt and last upper control arm bolt?
Hey bro I wanna lower my car to what size tires you have front and back I don’t know if will be an issue having 275 40 20 front and 295 35 20 in the back
You’ll be fine with that setup my friend is lowered on these springs and he’s running the same 275/40/20 and 315/35/20 in the rear. You can look him up on IG fs392_daytona and see what it looks like. 😎
Sean Tufu Same as factory that’s stationary. People with those issues have 22s with too big of a tire or 24s lowering springs doesn’t change anything with that bolt on the arm.
@@GarageDriven Ok, I'm running 275 40 20 on 9.5 rim with 15mm spacers. 315 35 20 on 10.5 rim with 15mm spacers. Do you think those springs would be to low of a drop and cause rubbing?

Nice install video.. How is the front tire wear holding up? Did you need to install camber/caster plates for further adjustment? Also can you post a link to the actual H&R springs? There are several out there.

@@GarageDriven ya man learned that the hard way. So I installed the eibach pro kit and the rear method didn’t work. Oh and trust me I tried, for some reason the arm wouldn’t drop low enough so I had to do the long way. But still great video bro!

I tried the same method for the rear of my charger scatpack, but for some reason mine doesnt open up like yours, it barely opens so I couldnt take the springs out and end up removing the wheels and lower bolts of the shocks :(. I wonder why mine didnt work like yours
The 2020 Widebody Charger is like that but I still didn’t have to remove the wheel just the strut bolt at the bottom. I did a video on it recently showing that difference and also removing the adaptive suspension wiring on the fronts.
Damn - I removed that entire lower control arm in the rear and had a terrible time lining everything back up. This tutorial made me feel dumb... your way was way easier!
I have a 2018 Dodge Charger RT and was wondering, with stock rims will I need a wheel spacer for the car? Want to know before I actually send it on the springs
Do you notice a big difference when rolling over bumps in the road after putting those springs on? ...I got some H&R springs for my 2011 Edge but havn't put 'em on yet...
Badass video, i just ordered same springs for my scat pack im going to try and tackle this job this coming weekend. Ive been reading about cars not being able to get aligned properly after lowering springs, did any of you have any issues with that?
The alignment was perfect just the camber won’t be perfect mainly in the front from my experience but it’s nothing you’ll notice or affect the way the car drives. Some guys have purchased the SPC adjustable upper control arms and had those installed to get the camber back to stock.
Bro please help. I'm doing everything you're saying to do for the rear. I pump up the jack with my leg to get that hole lined up. I get it there but the bracket is sitting off a little to the right. I hear what you're saying about pushing the jack the opposite way but I can't get it lined up. Almost but not there. Any advice is much appreciated.
Garage Driven man.... Still struggling. I got the bolt in from the back side just like you showed me in the video but my bracket is sitting so far towards the center of the car which is making the holes not line up. I tried to use the wrench to wedge in between like I did from the rear but it won't budge in the front. Is it the pressure of the spring that is making those holes offset so much?
Appreciate it 🤝 I did a Charger with that exact tire size and wheel setup and he had no issues. As long as it’s a Scat it has the shocks to support lowering with 22s.
Hey bro, GREAT VIDEO!...Im in Tampa and would love for you to do my 2013 Dodge Charger. I have a set of Mopar Stage 1 springs and new shocks. How do I contact you?
“Pro kit” is (Eibach) and don’t buy those they collapse eventually. I had it happen to someone after about 4 months of the springs being on his Car. #50888 is H&R and it’s the part number for Challenger & Chargers.
Hey man, I did the install myself but for some reason the passenger rear side seems lower than the driver rear side and I tried it at different locations just in case it was uneven road but it still looked the same, what do you think I should do?
Check to make sure the springs are seated properly in the rubber bushings. But first I would get the car on a leveled floor like a garage and measure each corner of the car from floor to the tip of the fender. You’ll need a measuring tape to do this. Do this before checking the bushings.
i would gladly pay 250 to get my springs installed lmao dude shops here in CT are quoting me $500-$700 its insanse, a co-workers friend quoted my $350 im about to take it lol
Raul C. I’m super new to this car guy life bro to be honest i don’t know much about cars at all and I’d rather just pay someone to do it lol. Just wondering how pricing differs depending on where you live, where are u from? Haven’t seen anyone quote $250 for a job like this lol
You got the screws out? Push up the exhaust with one hand and use the other hand to push up the clip. It’s connected to rubber so it has a lil play for it to stretch.
I’ve done that back in the day also 😂 Springs are so cheap now it’s not worth compromising the ride quality. I’ve cut and heated springs before to lower my cars 😂
I've ordered Eibach lowering springs for my Volvo and they're due in this coming Saturday. I'm debating upgrading my struts and shocks. Any recommendations?
Our Cars (Dodge) comes with a performance shock already which is Bilstein and the ride quality is excellent. I’d say go with that brand also if they make them for your Car. Checkout Belltech performance shocks also.
@@GarageDriven Thanks, that was quick. I've actually selected the Bilsteins for my Volvo.. . honestly?....hate to spend the money($400) which makes the grand total for lowering my car is around a $1k. Man, cool is costly!

My prices aren’t bad honestly but gas right now will probably be $60 round trip which you’ll still come out way below what I’ve heard shops are charging

I have a 2018 Dodge Charger RT and was wondering, with stock rims will I need a wheel spacer for the car? Want to know before I actually send it on the springs
Spacers are not necessary but some people add them to beef up their stance.
So I gotta question? When u put the springs on does it lower your control arm too cuz my control is already mad close to the wheel 😅
That distance doesn’t change it’s a stationary part that only moves with the strut and spring.
@@GarageDriven thanks much appreciated
What about a shorter bump stop so you have for travel of the shock
The springs are not that much shorter H&R doesn’t require it.
Big homie.....great video. getting a alignment after is recommended?
Most definitely I’d say. It’s normally off a tad bit but not noticeable when driving the computer shows though.
Thx so much
Do you notice a big difference when rolling over bumps in the road after putting those springs on? ...I got some H&R springs for my 2011 Edge but havn't put 'em on yet...
A lil more firm but it was still very close to the factory ride on my Charger which was already sporty.
@@GarageDriven ok thx
Badass video, i just ordered same springs for my scat pack im going to try and tackle this job this coming weekend. Ive been reading about cars not being able to get aligned properly after lowering springs, did any of you have any issues with that?
The alignment was perfect just the camber won’t be perfect mainly in the front from my experience but it’s nothing you’ll notice or affect the way the car drives. Some guys have purchased the SPC adjustable upper control arms and had those installed to get the camber back to stock.
@@GarageDriven awesome i was worried after watching some videos and reading around. Thanks for clearing things up man i appreciate your help!
Part #?...I want to install on 2020 charger scatpack
H&R #50888
Does anyone know if this product works with SXT Plus?.. Great videos btw! Well explained!
I’m honestly not sure bro. Might wanna get a hold of a vehicle fitment chart from H&R’s website.
Probably know by now but Vehicle Fitment for H&R 11-19 Dodge Charger SE/SXT/SXT Plus (2WD/4WD) Rallye/Plus/V6 Sport Spring = 50881-6
Hey, does the H&r spring fit both challenger and Charger hellcat?
Yes sir…same springs H&R #50888
Hey bro I see your in florida, what part ? Good video bro!! how much you'll charge me to install them for me got a hellcat charger? :)

@@GarageDriven just sent you a DM on Instagram brother
Bro please help. I'm doing everything you're saying to do for the rear. I pump up the jack with my leg to get that hole lined up. I get it there but the bracket is sitting off a little to the right. I hear what you're saying about pushing the jack the opposite way but I can't get it lined up. Almost but not there. Any advice is much appreciated.
Put a wrench between the arm and the actual subframe to help align it while putting the bolt back in.
Garage Driven thanks bro. I'll try again tomorrow. Been struggling all day. Lol
This video shows it at around 12mins in czcams.com/video/szg7gbAqzf8/video.html I apologize I couldn’t respond sooner if I seen it I would’ve.
Garage Driven it's all good. Just glad you did respond. 👍🏾
What drop does the 13 have? Wheel spacers? Charger looks sick
I believe he was on Eibach springs
@@GarageDriven thanks. That's what I've been leaning towards for my 13 srt
Wheel spacers we used was 12mm in the rears only.
Bruh i wanna do this to my challenger but I have 265/35/22s . Would lowering my car be a good idea. New sub btw.

Instagram garage_driven or email thegaragedriven@gmail.com
‼️You might not reply cause this video was uploaded 1 year ago but what are the exact name of these H&R lowering springs ? ‼️
I always reply to my people’s 🤝 H&R #50888 www.tirerack.com has the best deal.
@@GarageDriven thank you are they the (pro kit spring set)?
We’re the springs installed correctly with the H&R 50888 writing where it’s readable (right side up)
Great video bro.
Thanks 🙏🏽 I appreciate it 🤝
Some dude tried waxing me 250 for the install lol thanks to driven garage I saved myself 250$ and bought some headers lol
That’s comedy 😂 but good to hear this video has helped so many people. Sorry shops 🤷🏽♂️
i would gladly pay 250 to get my springs installed lmao dude shops here in CT are quoting me $500-$700 its insanse, a co-workers friend quoted my $350 im about to take it lol
@@maxshaikhh99 just watch the video and rent a air lift and get that shit done in a couple hours kitteraly
Raul C. I’m super new to this car guy life bro to be honest i don’t know much about cars at all and I’d rather just pay someone to do it lol. Just wondering how pricing differs depending on where you live, where are u from? Haven’t seen anyone quote $250 for a job like this lol
Love it! Where they 275/40/20 all around?
I’m guessing it’s you I just spoke to on IG?
Yup yup 😂😂 i forgot i did a comment on your video 😁
@@marcmercado1011 😂 aight bet
Great vid bro
Thanks 🙏🏽
Man I’m getting stuck on removing the exhaust clip, I tried pushing it up but it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna go up far enough, you got any tips
You got the screws out? Push up the exhaust with one hand and use the other hand to push up the clip. It’s connected to rubber so it has a lil play for it to stretch.
@@GarageDriven yeah the screws are out, I’ll try pushing on it a little harder. Thanks for the quick response
@@RLogan-sl7xl cool 🤝 hope you get it figured out and save yourself some money 💪🏽
So back in the day we took the springs off homeboys truck and just cut off a coil, has anyone else done that ?
I’ve done that back in the day also 😂 Springs are so cheap now it’s not worth compromising the ride quality. I’ve cut and heated springs before to lower my cars 😂
That’s definitely one way to do it.
Nice stance, what size tires are you running?
Look at minute 9:09... at least for the rears he's got 275/40ZR20's... I'd assume the fronts are the same.
It will look and ride much better than a factory ride height. All my cars have been lowered I can’t help it 😂
@@GarageDriven Going to keep the oem struts/shocks and just do the dang thang! I have the Eibach Pro-kit, a mild 1.2" drop F/R and I'll go +1 on rims&tires. Think I'll be golden this way and save a little change n the process. Thanks for the encouragement. Be safe.
Aight cool 🤝 anytime 💯
Damn wanted you to do h&r install on my 15 road and track but im in Miami and looks like you’re in Orlando
Haines City off US 27 straight shot from Miami bro...make that trip j/k 😂🤝
Garage Driven lol that round trip will cost more then a shops installation. But i want to move up to orlando everything’s around there
My prices aren’t bad honestly but gas right now will probably be $60 round trip which you’ll still come out way below what I’ve heard shops are charging
Garage Driven dm’d you on ig
god damn it looks sick now bro!! is this the D2 pro lowering springs 1.8 F and 2.0 R???? i want to do it to my Charger ASAP
They’re just the H&R Sport lowering springs 1.4R 1.7F part # 50888 ride quality and look is amazing 👏🏽
Garage Driven one more question brotha i’m running 245-40-20 in the front and 275-40-20 in the rear do you think the D2 pro lowering springs that they’re 1.8 and 2.0 it’s too much?? i have a 2015 dodge charger RT
Nah you’ll be fine with those tires. 315s is when people usually start having issues.
Garage Driven Man those h&r are looking good as hell I think I’m gonna go with those H&R thanks man keep up the good work💯
Deadpool_345-Hemi it’s honestly the most popular spring everyone’s using on the Charger’s & Challenger’s. Add me on IG bro garage_driven I wanna see the outcome 🔥🤝
Just wasted about 2 hours messing with this method. Could never jack the control arm even close to get the bolt back in once I had the new spring in. Remedy: Take that lower strut bolt off for sure. Then put the spring in, then jack up the lower control arm and put the bolt in, then put lower strut bolt back in.
I actually use that method on the Widebody Chargers which I have posted a video showing that also. czcams.com/video/szg7gbAqzf8/video.html
I seen u in my friend areas 😁 on Saturday
Nice 🤗 Saturday was a wild day 🔥💪🏽
