just got my self a 95 ls400 a few months back and although I agree the 20 series body is so much sleeker there is something about the slight box-ness the 95 has that just made me keep her!!
Ah man so glad yall put the ls400 on the number 1 spot , it definitely deserves it man i personally own a 2000 ls400 platinum and by even keeping it stock such a VIP looking bad ass and the ride comfort is just indescribable
Y32 y33 has interchangeable arms with s13/s14 I believe. Also y33 q45 are much easier to find than a g50 q45 Edit: the e38 7 series is actually getting pretty high priced for a clean one so hop on em fast. And the rl is actually a dope option especially on bags
I own a Acura 2003 RL 3.5, I honestly would say it's tons of fun no matter if it's Front wheel drive or real wheel drive ride. I love all builds an my boys love the ride as well. 💯#VIPstatus
I got my 97 Q45 for 1100. Yes the hard high pressure lines on the steering rack does rust out.and then there's those pesky knock sensors ! If your over 6ft it's not a car for you.however with a lil modding the 89 through 94 Maxima seats do fit which creates more leg room up front.. but NOBODY can sit behind you
Great video, guys. And kudos for throwing in the W220 platform in there. It's been slept on by the VIP community here in the US, and it's a shame! (or could it be because it's still relatively expensive to keep on the road compared to more traditional platforms from Lexus and Infiniti? Yes, probably LOL). On the other hand, the purchase prices you mentioned for all these platforms are nowhere near realistic. For beaters on their last leg, maybe, but for clean, unmolested specimens with all or most gadgets running, no way: you're going to have to pay up. Please don't give people false expectations.
What part of the states are you in? I’ve noticed this issue with some parts of US where the prices of these cars has soared like crazy. I suggest looking in different areas on market place might be able to find something in these budgets.
@@Yakuzawhips I’m in SoCal. The used car market is red hot right now indeed. I’m not looking for a used car - I’m still happy with my 2000 A33 😃 If I were, I would probably have to extend my search to neighboring states like AZ or UT. But then again, there are our CA license, registration and smog taxes... 😂🤷♂️
Great deal! One of the best vehicles of all time. Get it up to par mechanically. I found mine as well and have had to do little by little. valve cover gaskets, brakes, tune up, detail, now im going to do hubs and bearings. Then If all is good I can do start on the coilovers then some 19"s..
Yo, where you guys at because those prices are low! Double anything you estimated here on the East Coast. I need to go buy up some rides from your hood, lol. Good video, keep doing what you’re doing gents.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. It's not easy to scoop up "super clean" used ones for the prices they mentioned in this video, at least where I am in SoCal. Then again, it depends on what you consider "super clean" to be. LS400's (UCF20) are going way up in value. GS430's (S160 with the 4.3L V8) are uber-rare, very sought-after and therefore expensive. The old M45's (Y34) are next to impossible to find in North America. On the other hand, 3rd generation Q45's (F50) can be found relatively cheap for what they are; they were incredible cars for their time, and the F50 platform is still under appreciated.
@@Yakuzawhips Still down to help out lol? I’ve been looking for a g37 down here in Murrieta (Southern California) by budget was around 8k which i thought would’ve got me by but i can’t seem to find anything!
Gs400 is the better pick, the 2jz ge vvti is just not the move. Unless you have the money to burn to add the power immediately, just get a 400 it'll be more fun, its already making the same power as a factory 2jzgte, and you can still add forced induction to a 1UZ. They were literally designed to be boosted from the factory in airplane engines and all came with hypereutectic pistons. I'd argue they're even cheaper to build compared to the 2jz ge as they make adapter plates for eaton superchargers on the 1uz platform, and the eaton/svt units you can find+ the adapter are MUCH cheaper than the manifolds, turbos, piping, etc needed for a reliable 2j where you're essentially stuck with turbos due to low end torque limitations for power. You can even go nitrous on the UZ blocks and handle it pretty well. Yes both are limited by rods, but both can be swapped for earlier generation rods/nonvvti that can handle 1000 hp figures, despite both needing to handicap low end for safety. Plus the UZ just sounds better.
Shouts out to you guys for showing love to the y34 bodies, i got a y51 but when i was looking into m45 i wanted a y34 so bad but could never find a clean example
The only good option I can find here is the w220 base (I live in Cologne, Germany) they go for up to 5k euros. The thing is I'm very into jdm cars as well as vip cars, and I'm planning to buy my first car. So Im not sure if I should be looking at these cars and sobering over them. Or do u think these are solid beginner cars? Im definitely a big tuning fan which is why I always want to swerve towards a tuner car for my first car. Any thoughts on that? Ur channel is crazy underrated I'll sub to yall and check on ur channel frequently too!
Personally, we love VIP styled Vans, and definitely would do an episode in the future on this topic. Suv based builds like the RX350 series is definitely something new that Japan has been toying with recently. I think it also has potential but not traditional by any means
I just wanted to comment on the chairs they’re sitting in, they need to swap the chairs, the chair on the left looks too small for him and I think he would prefer the other one just saying!
Bought an 93 LS400 like a month and a half ago. I’m still trying to figure out wtf is wrong with it lol. Rebuilt ECU,new TPS. I’m thinking it’s the MAF but I can’t find one at any picknpull and don’t want to spend $400+ on just a sensor.
